For every Canadian kid growing up in the eighties, this was our soundtrack of our youth. First kisses, drinking behind the post office of my small town, hanging out at the arcade. Thanks for bring back the memories. Great reaction!
I remember when LA gave him the key to the city and they announced 'Bryan Adams Day' and that felt so weird for Canadians like me who knew him from playing bars.
This song is nostalgic, it can make you feel heartsick, and thinking on younger days. Hell, it made me feel like I was missing old times even when I was in high school. Best to only listen to it when you’re in a good place. That’s how powerful it is. Great song.
Summer of 69 I was 19. Best year of my life. Rock & Roll festival roadie, Drywaller in between from the West Coast to the East Coast. 1970 in military going overseas. Those were heady days.
Out of all the reactors that I've watched this year - you two have reacted the MOST to our awesome ICONIC Canadian artists. So much love and THANKS for that. Bryan is one of our very best. If you watch Heaven next - followed by Run to You - it continues the story with the girl. This Time, Cuts Like a Knife, Do I Have To Say the Words, All for Love (with Rod Stewart and Sting), It's Only Love (with Tina Turner) are a few more of his greatest hits. But he has a forty year rabbit hole to go down. Have fun!! Colin James (Chicks, Cars, and the Third World War) and Dean Brody (Bring Down the House) are two more fantastic Canadian artists and songs.
My neighbor knows Bryan personally. Went to high school with him. You want to react to more of his songs for sure. Guy has an amazing library of hits. 'Everything I Do (I Do For You)' is one of the biggest songs of all-time!!
His "Reckless" album came out in 1984. I was 10 years old packing a boom box on my shoulder, listening to this with my friends, thinking we were super cool 🤘 This album has always been a summer staple!
His music reminds me of the similar rural heartland Americana Rock of John Mellencamp. They make music that paints a similar spirit picture for the listener.
My old band used to cover this. The crowd loved it. Run to you, cuts like a knife, it's only love (with Tina Turner) or All for Love with Sting and Rod Stewart are all worth checking out.
Got drafted in the summer of 1969 in the fall went to Southeast Asia love this song because the summer of 69 was some of my fondest memories growing up! And Asia and B.J. Love your reviews and your great smiles keep up the good work!😃
Yes!!!! I used to catch crap from my band mates (we were a jam and cover band) for loving this song. Smooth song, cool Spanish guitar and the ability to seamlessly transform from a smooth "love making" song to power ballad without going over the top. Going to listen to it right now! 😁
Saw him on his "Cuts Like A Knife" tour. He opened for Journey in 1983. "Cuts Like a Knife" and "Run To You" next please. Oh and "Straight From The Heart". Thanks and God Bless.
Bryan has great material, a rock anthem writer, and is the pride of BC He spent his school years very near here in VANCOUVER Always sells out to the stadium in his home town.
One of my favorite songs for driving fast on the highway. Bittersweet nostalgia, golden summers...we can all understand the emotions behind the lyrics even if we didn't have the same experiences.
He also has some lesser known but great songs like I'll Always Be Right There and I'm Ready. The Only Thing That Looks Good On Me Is You is a real kick, and he tears it up big time with Bonnie Raitt on Rock Steady. He also does some nice covers like Kiss and Say Goodbye and I Can't Stop Living You. Love his voice..
I've always been a fan of "reminiscing songs" for some reason. Summer of 69, Sixty-five Love Affair (Paul Davis), Desert Moon (Dennis DeYoung), Same Auld Lang Syne (Dan Fogelberg), In Your Wildest Dreams (Moody Blues), and quite a few by The Statler Brothers.
I love this song. Its my fave after everything I do and heaven. He is orginally from Kingston Canada. I live a few blocks from his old house on Emily street in Kingston. I still remember how surprised when I found out this song had nothing to do with the year 1969. I love your reactions. Especially the 80s and 90s. Cheers.
Greetings from Uruguay, South America. I congratulate you for reacting to the music that marked my youth and I follow you every day. I feel like part of my family. Greetings.
When Bryan Adams tickets went on sale in my city (remember there was no internet but you could try and get through on the phone if you were lucky) I went down to the arena and waited in line for 2 nights and a day to buy 14 tickets in 3rd and 4th row center. I'd say it was worth every minute I waited. He really is great live!!
He was my first concert! He has just SO many hits. People have covered so many. You might check out a song he did with Rod Stewart, Sting, called "All For Love" from a movie The Three Musketeers from 1993. 3 icons who just melded together so well on that one. One of my favorites.
My stories are multiple "Summers". My life story has been amazing and so blessed. My wife says I need to write a book but I tell her I would be the only person to buy it. lol. MY Summers were the summers of 65 - 74. I made my life make memories every year. If you want something and go after it hard enough you can obtain it. I truly believe that.
You discovered Bryan, Alanis, Loverboy, I think Tragically hip, Rush, Neil...how about some Platinum Blonde /Payolas and Carole Pope LOVE from Canada!!!🥰
@@tammyford2357 I listen to a bunch of diffrent channels and even though I'm probably one of the few folks that don't like Downy's voicenI know he was a legend🤟
It's that 80s summer angst. A song telling you to let those good times go because they're over, while still hanging on tight. So much baggage to unpack. So little time. Great watching your reaction and hearing your thoughts. Looking forward to more.
Best thing to come out of Canada in the last several decades……Bryan Adams!!!! This guy is in the fabric of anyone who was in high school in the 80s like me.
Love your reaction, but I’m going to burst your bubble about the innocence of this song 😉 Bryan says the lyrics are not about the summer of 1969 (he would have been only 10 years old), but about discovering sex as a teenager and making love during the summer…referencing a certain position, as well…..I think most people can relate to this song, especially those of us who were teens in the 1970s, as Bryan Adams was. It was a more innocent time, in many ways.
a few years ago taylor swift invited Brian Adams to duet a few songs at her concert. this was one of the songs they did.also he did a Robin hood theme song that was number one in the uk for weeks.
I substitute 69 for 95 because that's when I was in the era. And nine rhymes with five - sorta. I still love this song so much. Bryan Adams had a lot of songs I love.
I love this song, growing up between Honduras and Argentina was awesome! Now, every time I sing this song (murder it actually) at a karaoke, I simply change to “Summer of ‘79”! Thanks for your reaction guys! Btw, check out a kinda long song if you could: The Foreigner: suite, by Cat Stevens!
Love BryanAdams. Please react to "Heaven", "Please Forgive Me", "Everything I Do" and this gem feat Sting & Rod Stewart "All for Love". Thanks fam. Always enjoy the reactions! 🙏🏽
Apparently he was good friends with Princess Diana as well. Well know photography along with a Canadian icon. Glad you enjoyed one of his many great songs
The good and the bad we experience growing up help shape who we are as adults. It’s how we take those experiences and apply our own standards is what makes us who we are.
The summer of 69', aka 'the summer of love'! Also the summer of WOODSTOCK!!!! 3 days of 'Peace, love and music'! And drugs. Lots and lots of drugs!!! 😎🎸
"Cuts Like a Knife" "Somebody" "Run to You" "Heaven" are just four more of Bryan Adams' classics.
Yeah! And those albums are great too!
Yes. All of these.
What about "Please forgive me" or "Everything i do"?😊 They are also great songs ❤️❤️
All of these and “This Time” and “It’s only love” With Tina Turner! Bryan Adams is just awesome!
For every Canadian kid growing up in the eighties, this was our soundtrack of our youth. First kisses, drinking behind the post office of my small town, hanging out at the arcade. Thanks for bring back the memories. Great reaction!
And in Australia too man!
Even grown up but not too much.
In Carolina too. Ride around the court square windows down radio blasting grinning like a lion. Yep those were the days my friends
Someone has mentioned it, but, American kids too.
I’m only 20. Listening to stories of peoeple growing up in the 80s excites me. It sounds like so much more fun than just social media and stuff
Bryan was a hit machine throughout the 80s and 90s... Lots of great tunes for you to check out, particularly songs from movies
I remember when LA gave him the key to the city and they announced 'Bryan Adams Day' and that felt so weird for Canadians like me who knew him from playing bars.
@@s.mcpherson6354 yup. My older brother used to see him in Van in the bars when he was getting started. He said they were good@
he should have stayed on the harder edge of music, not the softer stuff...
spirit 🐎
You'll love their "Run To You", "Straight From The Heart" and "Cuts Like A Knife"!! He's got bangers and ballads!!
Yes, and those songs are all tied together, continuing the story!
Awesome artist. Cuts like a knife, straight from the heart, run to you, somebody, heaven, please forgive me, etc…..
This song is nostalgic, it can make you feel heartsick, and thinking on younger days. Hell, it made me feel like I was missing old times even when I was in high school. Best to only listen to it when you’re in a good place. That’s how powerful it is. Great song.
Amen to that brother!!
I saw Bryan Adams open for the Rolling Stones in the 90s and was blown away by how powerful the band was live.
I saw him twice in Montreal boy what energy he has on stage very good show to see 🥰👌
I saw him open for Foreigner and he blew them away.
One my favorite Bryan Adams songs. Always think about summer when I hear this. Great nostalgia song.
Summer of 69 I was 19. Best year of my life. Rock & Roll festival roadie, Drywaller in between from the West Coast to the East Coast. 1970 in military going overseas. Those were heady days.

So many great musicians have come from Canada. Canadian proud here.

Bryan Adams "Heaven"... and... "Cuts like a knife". ❤️❤️
Try "Have you Ever Loved a Woman" by Bryan Adams. Love his voice! First time I ever saw him, he opened for Journey, back in the 80s

“It’s only Love” with Tina Turner is great too.
Saw Brian Adams with Billy Joel in 2006 in Rome, at the Colosseum.
That was probably pretty awesome,I want to see a concert in an old Roman arena, maybe in Nîmes France or Pula Croatia 😎
Bryan Adamas, Rod Stewart and Sting singing all for love....you won't be disappointed
Great song 🎵 💙
You two are the best.. By FAR my favorite reaction channel with you personalities and diversity in music. 🎶

Y’all probably missed at the very end when he sings “ohhh yeah.... me and my baby in a 69” which he waited a couple of decades to point out/admit.
That song put a really beautiful smile on your face girl!
GREAT OLD SKOOL JAM. I JUST ADD THE SUMMER OF 89 IN MY HEAD. LUV U GUYS
Favorite thing about you two! Your smiles!

Fun fact about this song “69”does not refer to a year but a sexual act you’ll never hear this song the same way again
I remember wearing out this cassette tape in my boom box when it came out. I was born in the “summer of 69” 😁

No one writes sentimentality better than Bryan Adams. unbelievable songwriter.
Such a classic to me. In my childhood it was an everyday radio song in the 90ties in germany 😂 as a little child I heard it regulary
I think this is the song that started Bryan Adams career and it was a fun song
one of the best tracks from my childhood!!!

“Run To You “ official video . Loved this reaction 👏
Bryan Adams is my favorite singer.
Probably the guy with the most top 10 hits from the 80s. He was a Canadian institution here in the US. As big as Michael J Fox in the 80s.
Funny thing Bryan Adams was only 10 in 1969. "Everything I Do" is his peak of power it was the longest #1 on the charts for a few years.
Now you have to listen to Heaven by Brian Adams. He has so many songs its crazy. Run to you, and Cuts like a knife are great too.
He sang, Ole Sol A Mio with Pavaratti.
