Don't worry to much about dirt in the jack shaft housing because the bearings are 6202 2RS, rubber sealed on both sides. On the gas tank bib there is a small hole in the threads for a vent. Don't even worry about the chain, it is super cheap China chain that stretches and wears out fast. The cheap chain wears out the sprockets fast. Buy some quality 415 moto cross chain, Regina, Pro Taper, Renthal, etc. I have had my Rover since May of 2019, about the 3rd bike to be shipped so I know it intimately. The bottom bracket can be bought from Phatmoto for $19. The jack shaft bearings can be bought separate like I say they 6202 2 RS, but any thing else like the spline sprockets, and shaft are only available from Phatmoto as a kit for about $70. You can switch out to a true 5/8 keyed shaft like I did for about $70, including sprockets. As for a HF P79cc engine on it you'll need to make a motor mount as the engine needs 30+mm's or about 1 1/4 elevation on rear for the valve cover to clear seat tube. Anyway Good Luck with your project, once you get it built with some quality parts and maintain it it is a good street bike, avoid any serious off road or jumping with it as the hard tail rear can suffer cracking.

The gas cap vent is already installed so I guess I ain’t goin back on that one. A new chain is definitely on my list of upgrades. The one that it had on there is awful. I have the bottom bracket ready but I’m waiting for the Jackshaft kit to put it all together. I haven’t figured out the motor situation yet. We’ll see what happens there. For now, I want to get the supporting parts ready so when the motor is installed, it is ready to ride! There’s a part of me that wants to add a gearbox hub wheel so that might be coming soon too. Cracking doesn’t surprise me considering it’s a hardtail with an engine that vibrates & normal bicycle axles. We’ll see what happens

@@arasheqajar Yeah, the gas cap vent is extra security as the hole in the threads can get plugged with paint. Good luck, looking forward to the finished bike.

How much did it cost you? That frame is great. I bet when you get the better forks on and maybe bigger engine? It'll be awesome

It cost me $150 for everything. Frame, wheels, engine, & all the parts that go with it. If I can get that engine fixed then I don’t know if I’ll need to upgrade it

@@arasheqajar dude, that's such a good buy! We just got 2023 Phatmotos in the Czech Republic. Sadly the forks are crap and they ommitted the Hilliard clutch for some reason but yeah. We'll see

@@Matthew-wj8cm it’s a good buy until you realize the seat tube design allows dirt to build up in the jackshaft & bottom bracket if left outside. I’m gonna have to get creative to find a proper solution for that. If you ask me, its this kind of design flaw that makes these bikes so unreliable

@@arasheqajar Like I say Phatmoto leaves debris in the JS housing at the factory in China, don't worry so much about it, the bearings are sealed. Concentrate on the rear wheel hub, make sure you have the correct amount of loose bearings and they are packed with good grease. Also the 50T sprocket/rotor disc needs upgraded bolts to 12.9 class metric and use thread locker on them, the bolts are prone to coming loose and destroying the rear hub. Good luck.

@@Matthew-wj8cm The Phatmoto they sell in the Czech Republic is not from Phatmoto, China is selling a similar bike there. Nader owns the copyright, he is out of Van Nuys, California, where his store is. But sadly China is not trustworthy. Anyway why it comes with the cheap Chinese clone clutch is Nader adds the Hilliard to his bikes only as a upgrade. Myself and another good friend, did the testing for Hilliard for Phatmoto to come up with a suitable clutch, weights, spring combo's etc. I liked it because I got 4 good quality Hilliard clutches out of the deal. Anyway the bike in the Czech Republic is a good one with a more robust looking frame and more room in the engine triangle for engine swaps etc.
