I just got a Panasonic WJMX 12. Will this play nicely with that?

I'm not sure, I haven't used that mixer before. A quick google search leads to very few results of using the WJ MX12 with an HDMI signal, which is what you'd need to check. Maybe try running the output of your laptop or something into a converter and check if it works with that?
