Voidreckon is not just my way of celebrating 100k Subscribers on UA-cam, it's also my first true album experience.
Each of the 8 tracks were created specifically for the album, so there is a sense of cohesion between them.
This album has been my obsession for the better part of this year, and I'm so excited to finally share it with all of you! 🧡

This album completely separated Mittsies and Helltaker for me. It proves just how well Mittsies can do without being attached to something. Mittsies was probably thinking of a story while producing all these songs, because of the names and background images, and that was a nice play by Mittsies, you can hear the emotions in each of the songs. You can feel that something is up, there is meaning on that soundtrack, not just some noise, like most of eletronic music I've heard. This album is a masterpiece, and I expect more from Mittsies. Since this album was themed around space and stuff, how about the next be themed on a sort of medieval/magic adventure?

Is it just me or this album is perfect for space themed strategy/rougelike game. Seriously, if there was a space game (preferably with vanripper as the artist) I'd buy it right here right now.
Every track thematically fits for different levels.
1)Floodlights is perfect for a first level where player is safe on one of bases/ships but still on the frontier, ready to learn and discover the vast space.
    Basically a tutorial/exposition.
2)Painkiller is a second mission which starts at the end of previous one. We and our friends are geting attacked, everything and everyone goes in battle mode. But attack is too sudden and we get hit pretty hard, we're in "Pain", but as mission progresses we gather our forces and rebuild what was destroyed while steadily pushing aggressors. And at some moment music shifts, we're not prey anymore, we're winning, we're not feeling "Pain" anymore. But at the end, original "pain" beat returns.
First combat mission which works as motivation for our character(s). I think at start we start alone or with very small forces and collect more forces as we go to the our destination point while fighting bad guys.
3)Voidreckon at start carries a pain but it's more industrial, crude and feels like painkillers are wearing off. Then it goes farther and farther away from it, into the void, as like we escaped or calming down. BUT IT RETURNS EVEN HARDER and chase/fight continues untill... until something changes, the solo starts which is probably means either we have finaly ran away or found something that helps us.
This mission have a different playstyle, we have already gathered everyone who we could and our main priority is to get out of there. So main core mechanic is constant moving.
4)Braincell sound unfamiliar and muted, almost foggy. It probably means that we're in nebula. After some time we getout of there and see a beatiful planet on the "Horizon", but BAM BAD GUYS ARE BACK. But not for long as we start hide and seek game in nebulas.
Now main feature is stealth which is very convinent with all the nebulas around.
5)Horizon - Bad guys lost us and we've made our way to the planet which is perfect to colonize.
Can't really say how exactly it fits into the game because it's so peaceful and full of hope and have no sign of the enemy.
    It can be:
    A) Peaceful resource gathering and preparing for a final battle. But song doesn't sound urgent enough, but if we add some background "pain" beat, which grows louder and louder as the time passes, it will fit perfectly.
B)Or it can be an ending song.
6)Phantom can be a bonus zombie/spooky level or a part after nebula wher we get ourselves in a dark part of space full of derelicts and new enemies (Ai or alien organism which can control destroyed ships for example)
I imagine it as one of late game levels when you know almost all about the game and get tired of same enemies and want something fresh, and you get it as a fun level with completetly new enemies and mechanics.
Or it can be a theme song for a "Dark space"
7)Stranded is us being... stranded. We're too far away from any known and unknown parts of space. It starts slow but keeps getting steady but nerveous, hopeful but lost. But at the end it stops, we stopped.
I like to think about it as final level (or close to finale) where we have got too far... too far to stop, steady and deliberately make our way through all the dangers of space.
Main idea of this level is environmental dangers like asteroids or blackholes.

from the song names and background images, i think the lore is Mitty (a twitter artist said this became the official name due to the majority liking it or suggesting it in the live chat) and the camera is us the veiwer, i think the first 4 and a half songs are us getting to know each other (note her visor is opaque) and in horizon midway through she makes her visor see through due to us having a friendship, and i think stranded comes before Phantom, where in stranded something happens and she runs out of life support before she can get inside, thus being stranded (also note the fact you can't see her face and it's white washed with what seems to be a tear running down her cheek), and in phantom it's a nightmare of her, because we couldn't save her in time (or in a more dark thought we locked her out, either knowingly or not), and Ledgehugger is us remembering her/seeing her ghost (note that you can see some of the rocks through her leg and tail) due to our inability to save her (or guilt for locking her out) we are hugging a ledge. (be that a cliff ledge, a bar table, or some other "ledge")

I don't know what am I writing exactly, but let's name it my "love letter to your music"
I am a person, that was born in the years of hyping The Prodigy music in 2000x. All my childhood I grow in the house where every single part of my small family was listening to his own genre of music: elder brother listened to black metal and synth/EDM music. My mama listened to intense Indian and French mixes of different songs. All that sound had very vivid pulsing rhythms and no wonder that at my teens I found myself in breakdance until some kind of physical trauma.
Then I changed my profile and started to exercise in drawing/arts. It was my passion, cuz I could literally visualise the music and beats that I listened before. Breakdancing people were so dynamic and cool to draw from my memories(yeah, dats right, I draw without any "references", just canvas and brushes despite the fact that I did this in CG. So my fantasy was working fully getting the main inspiration from music in my headphones.
And god bless you. It was the only time I liked hyped thing SO much: Helltaker inspired me to draw more but what is more important is that I discovered this channel with the full discography that will be attached to different periods of my life: Naga, Tandem album, TOWER(!!!!), Morningstar, REGISTRY(!!!!!), Sanctuary and of course Vitality. I don't see this song as meme or Helltaker related(although it is the way I found it). This is a separate work of art that gives me a slightly perceptible feeling of loneliness in the good sense of the word and also makes my heart shiver and almost making me cry every time I hear it.
I can describe every song detailed(Does it gonna be interesting?)
All this prelude was said just to say:
Ledgehugger is SO emotionally-related to me.
And also your songs are a huge part of my real human life.
And right now after dance and art I do study in sound design college. Started to listen to popular music, but hear only individual sounds under the filters. This is not the case with your music. You put a lot of love into it.
    Sincery your Alex

It was important to me that every album on this track felt like "the one". I definitely agree. Each song is great in its own way. People keep saying the album is sci-fi... Which... okay? But I wouldn't say so. Stranded seems to be greatly inspired by the sea, for instance - at least that's the vibe i'm receiving. I've been listening to this album every day for like a month because, on top of just being S tier music, it so badly makes me want to go play or watch or go experience something that matches it. Obviously something space themed but something action or adventure focused because the music gives that feeling of wanting to go see majestic sights but also go knock some teeth out. I also think that the first and last tracks are positively sublime, Floodlights gives this feeling of introduction and setting out on something (plus I just like listening to it the most) and Ledgehugger gives this feeling of some final conflict, finally getting back home, and being able to finally lay down in bed for the first time in ages and look back out at the stars ready for that next adventure. I don't have such concrete feelings on the other tracks but they all feel very distinct and yet flow together effortlessly. I also can't get the image of being in orbit around some planet with a ring system and looking back up at those rings while listening to this album out of my head. The entire album makes my mind race with individual little thoughts, stories, and scenes in a way very few other pieces or collections of music do, it feels like a very special project made a talented musician and I'm glad it exists.
