To celebrate over 10 years on UA-cam helping English students all over the world become fluent speakers, and because there are now more than 500 videos on our channel, I thought it was time for a series of “Greatest Hits” lessons to make review simple for long-time fans, and help new students and teachers find my best ideas easily. This first video introduces my most controversial lesson: There’s no such thing as a second language.
The basic idea is that if you believe there are “second” languages, you will also believe there must be special “second” language learning methods that you didn’t use with your native language. But, the truth is there’s ONLY ONE WAY you become fluent in ANY language - whether it’s your native language or a new one you’re learning. So there’s no such thing as a “second” language requiring any special methods, and you should learn EVERY language like it’s your first! I explain this in detail in the video. :)

I appreciate this kind of videos! They are super useful! This is how I learned English and now I'm starting my project to teach English to others or help them to improve their communication. I create videos and record my own voice to practice my pronunciation. Keep up the good work!

You are the only person who speak true fact about fluency in English. You are the best teacher & motivator as wel. Your teaching style is Marvelous. While you talking about fluency its keep me on my own track. Sometimes, i detracted, but you give the confident. When you say fluency comes aromatically, we don’t have learnt grammer, voc, bla bla bla, its boost my confidence. Then I come back with full rhythm. You're just amaizing. I am deeply great full to you.🇧🇩🇧🇩

I don't consider English my second language. I just consider it one of my languages. Yes, I still make mistakes but I don't think about those mistakes. In fact, right now I'm not thinking if I'm writing these sentences with the correct grammar or not. And the same happens in my native language I just drop lines and see what happens. 😀
