The low TTK in the MW series encourages camping whereas the higher TTK in Black Ops makes people more comfortable to run and gun (also killstreaks could build off of each other in MW2). Really good video friend!
I appreciate it! My own take on the pace of the games is likely informed a lot by my play style. I have really good reflexes and aim so I tend to play Modern Warfare a little more recklessly than most because I know I can win an aim duel with most people. Black Ops’s slower TTK means that aiming and shooting first doesn’t matter quite as much, and the movement is a lot heavier and slower (esp. without double time sprint) which forces me to slow down.

What does Vanguard have?
The funny thing about this game is it has a proper offline modes like local multiplayer when newer mw2 and mw3 don't and mw2 doesn't have custom classes and cold war only let you access 5 classes while modern warefare gives you 10
Some of my most favorite cod games are the mission that are heavily scripted the eighty examples being mw2019 clean house mission, and the wolfs den or missions or the semi open missions like the few marine missions in mw2cr mainly being were you have to take out the enemies via uav drone and protect burger that areas was just open enough to allow me to take cover behind various bushes near the edge of the level. The gas station you get near after avoiding the uav you can grab the javelin along with the lmg next to it, so when Foley tells you to grab the javelin you already have it already in your hands. Even the small detail they added when you kill two enemies that were supposed to be one at a time the ai would have commented on that action. Even all gillied up in cod4 was kinda open near the end where you try your best to flank and take cover whilst protecting macmillan as you wait for the chopper. I think if call of duty find a way to not fuck up a open world experience, they could really revive the series via that approach because right now the cod games are bleeding out and Id rather wait for lobbies in past cod games that are only being held together with tdm matchs. I mean as I type this I'm waiting for a match on battlefield hardline on the PlayStation now service and that version is the PlayStation 3 version of the game
It doesn't feel refreshing or different. Main reason I didn't even consider the game. I play zombies myself. It's no where near like cold war. Straight forward tasks. Layouts are done well. (Not awesome but it's fine) They added more neat ideas. Example Outbreak. I just hope they improve the mode and allow more than 4 players. And the upgrade system was simple and also straight forward. Vanguard when I saw the many reviews and gamplay. Feels unfinished and more like a step back.
Not gonna talk about the gamefeel cause what you said was spot-on, but, IMO Vanguard's wacky bubba customization and narrative would fit well in a alt-history "what if the war didn't end" scenario. Like, by essence since Activision just want a rerun of Modern Warfare 2019 with WW2 skin, they should at least go hogwild bullshit and did make WW2 game set in the 60s or something, when modularity start being a point in military armament developments and so they can at least justify having a goddamn red dot on a STEN. It's kinda what I expected from BFV just because the trailer show us insane (and in my opinion would be absolutely delightful) stuff like MG42 with angular foregrip and barret-style compensator implying we're not in proper historical setting anymore, but instead we got "GamersTM" crying about women in vidya and how there's "no cripples" in WW2 or some shit idk.
While I never played Modern Warfare 2019, I know for certain I would’ve liked it. I was a minority that really enjoyed Cold War, especially its campaign. Currently I’m trying Vanguard’s free multiplayer weekend and it’s definitely fun. But yeah I don’t wanna spend $60 at least on it.
Thanks man. Was debating on whether or not to even try it. But now I just won't. Even mw is getting stale for me now. So I know I won't like vanguard. Cold War was only instresting cause of the zombies mode, for me atleast the mp was lack luster. I look forward to seeing if they try to do anything to amend for this or if they just do what they did with sledgehammers last game ww2. Act like nothing happened and keep moving forward.
Yeah I didn't really gain interest on Vanguard because it felt the same as MW. Nothing new besides Zombies but even the people who are die hard fans say zombies isn't so great compared to Coldwar which to be honest, treyarch did well. They really expanded on different types of gamplay. Not to mention outbreak which Is a neat idea but wished it had more than just 4 players. To be honest. I'm looking forward to see the next NFS game instead and hoping it's solid. Otherwise I'll find a different game to play.
Great video - thanks for rushing this out and saving me time I might have spent on the campaign. This is my first cod since WW2 so I was a little curious if it would be any good. The only thing I don't think is quite accurate is what you said about attachments. There are a lot that don't do shit, but accuracy affecting attachments have a significant impact - whether your gun sprays basically randomly or is a laser beam. And vital basically functions as stopping power on the guns that have it. Essentially the attachments that do impact performance allow you to create some of the most broken guns in cod history.
i can say that the best game sledgehammer made in this series was their first nothing more nothing less it imo is the best advanced movement call of duty a sequel is very deserving but seeing how this game turned out i dont know anymore
Vanguard is a good game because the maps are honestly excellent. Search and Destroy plays extremely well on every map from what I’ve played. If you like SND I would definitely recommend it.
Also extremely disingenuous on your part my guy. Only two maps are from world at war and castle is honestly one of the least fun maps in the game. Straight lying to people lol.I

Probably the worst triple A game ever. I liked MW2019 and was excited as a WW2 fan. This was easily the laziest game I've ever played that's almost offensive to veterans of the war
Idk man Cold War is much faster than MW2019, I’ve played a lot of hours on both and Cold War is only slower in trek but that’s only on certain weapons. Movement and map layouts in Cold War lead to much faster gameplay.
I will never understand how anyone can praise MW2019's map design - or like Piccadilly. The map design and SBMM are 90% the reason I stopped playing MW.
I Love MW 2019. It's the best COD MP. That said Piccadilly is the WORST COD MAP EVER created. No one likes it, even fans. Also, Activision's Version of SBMM is immoral.
The last CoD I liked was Infinite Warfare 2016. And that was just the campaign, didn't care for the multiplayer or zombies. Campaign in Vanguard looks absolutely terrible to me. They literally give ya super powers now and aren't even trying to be respectful to the historical setting unlike older WW2 CoDs. Sledgehammer makes the worst CoD games. 2017's WW2 was bad too.
Tbh I've played 15 hours of Multiplayer and I think all the maps are shit. The ones from World at War just play awfully in a modern meta. Zombies is unfinished Don't really care enough about campaigns anymore to even think that a good campaign would hold up the rest of the game. I'm probably one of few who don't mind where Zombies is starting as it might have the potential to be alright JUST ADD A FUCKING PAUSE BUTTON FOR SOLO!! But realistically I played it for 2/3 days and ended up playing Forza Horizon as soon as that came out yesterday and I'm much happier then the GTA Trilogy comes out tomorrow.
Cold war zombies offered more. And gave us more freedom. Without pushy or annoying mechanics to unlock things. Pretty straight forward. They did well with wanting to do something new (outbreak is a neat idea. ) I just hope they expand those ideas. And improve from it. Vanguard zombies. It's pretty stale.
@@oscarfunez3806 I agree, but remember they will improve upon it if they want to keep zombies players interested, apparently the first update will come with Season 1 in December. Don’t forget Cold War only had 1 map at launch as well. Although it did have a better progression (technically) with dark Aether skills able to upgrade. It was a bold move not doing a turn based map at launch (or potentially ever) but we’ll have to see what they have planned. With Shi No Numa in the game files already (as it is one of the locations in Der Anfang) I’d be fairly shocked if we didn’t get a remake of it.

What does Vanguard have?
The funny thing about this game is it has a proper offline modes like local multiplayer when newer mw2 and mw3 don't and mw2 doesn't have custom classes and cold war only let you access 5 classes while modern warefare gives you 10
Honey wake up there’s a new Kacey video
I would love to see kacey review ghost recon breakpoint or ghost of tsushima
I’m gonna be talking about breakpoint at some point. Not sure about Tsushima; I do wanna play it but I don’t know what angle I’d talk about it from.
I don't know why but I love cod cold war so much and find it so crazy that vanguard is so bad, they only had to do the same but little more and ww2.
2/16 maps are from a previous game, and I don't personally like Dome, but I don't like small maps generally.
I said best, not majority
7:43 I guess I don't need doors in my house
@15:30
It feels like they know most people play Multiplayer, and they are trying to keep you engaged with the campaign at any cost
They took the spunkegargleweewee stigma of the past games to whole new level
I’m honestly glad I went to a friend’s house just to play the campaign instead of buying the game for myself.
Not Car
Yeah.
Guns
Yuck
Call of Duty reminds me of Fast and the Furious... Well... Fast and Furious...
Says hes gonna play every ds nfs
My brain: flashbacks to nfs undercover ds highway battles
It doesn't feel refreshing or different. Main reason I didn't even consider the game. I play zombies myself. It's no where near like cold war. Straight forward tasks. Layouts are done well. (Not awesome but it's fine) They added more neat ideas. Example Outbreak. I just hope they improve the mode and allow more than 4 players. And the upgrade system was simple and also straight forward. Vanguard when I saw the many reviews and gamplay. Feels unfinished and more like a step back.
What are those games at 17:14
in order of appearance: Deathloop, Hot Wheels Unleashed, Metroid Dread.
big recommend on all three btw :)
I completely agree here with your opinion in every aspect!!!
The best thing to come out of this game is the HLL shoutouts lol
30$ is a good price?
Should I buy it? I really like MW2019 and want to try something new
Really feels like Sledgehammer can’t make a proper COD game that is actually interesting
Plot twist: this video was actually sponsored by the developers of Hell Let Loose
Nah. I paid full price for that game. I just really, really like it
Great video, great editing, but I am a bit more pessimistic about the franchise
the music in the Zombie part..... i play the better back 4 blood (L4D 2 )
If you like Cold War you probably won’t like mw19.
@@balzarini51 Really? Because I liked Vanguard’s multiplayer mechanics that were borrowed from it. Felt really smooth
Thanks for the vid
Kind of says something about the state of CoD when I saw that more people were hyped for Forza Horizon 5 than Vanguard.
infinite warfare underrated warfare
Yes.
Campaign yes
Infinity Ward is the only truly good COD dev. I mean, it is their baby after all.
Straight lying to people lol.I
Fun is subjective. This is my opinion. The maps are generally good, but the best in the game are from other games. That's what I said. This isn't "disingenuous." Sorry you disagree with me but politely, get the fuck over it.
@@Kaceydotme No it’s certainly disingenuous to imply that the map pool’s quality is reliant on retreads when out of 18 new maps the vast majority range from good to excellent.
@@matthewfowler4557 it’s my opinion. I’m sure you’ll get over it. If it’s that big of a sticking point for you that I don’t agree you’re welcome to fuck off.
speaking of tom clancy, why does ubisoft have to arbitrarily put his name in every game they make? i dont understand
I don't think that Vanguard being the same as other very fun games makes vanguard a bad game. Although it isn't too original, I find it to be a very good game.
I actually like this game and having a good time
Glad I avoided this for Horizon 5
I'm skipping CoD yet again. BO3 is the last one I paid full price for. Before that BO1 (which I caused me to never buy any CoDs until BO3)
Well then you just have shitty tastes because black ops 1 was excellent.
you didnt like MW3? even the campaign?
I enjoyed it but its definitely one of the weakest of the golden era.
@@Kaceydotme ah ok
Probably the worst triple A game ever. I liked MW2019 and was excited as a WW2 fan. This was easily the laziest game I've ever played that's almost offensive to veterans of the war
Hey have fun if you like it.
Idk man Cold War is much faster than MW2019, I’ve played a lot of hours on both and Cold War is only slower in trek but that’s only on certain weapons. Movement and map layouts in Cold War lead to much faster gameplay.
jokes on you my broke ass laptop is too trash to even play black ops 2 let alone vanguard lmao
Do nfs carbon own the city
And fun fact at the time (irl) when ww2 and vanguard token place I was leader of Germany in my past life
You don't think it to be the dumpster fire everyone else make it out to be?
i like final front
BRO WHERES GUN FIGHT??????????!!!!!!!!!
Hey Kacey
PLAY HELL LET LOOSE THO...COSIGN THAT SHIT THO...PUT DOWN A DAM. MORTGAGE ON THAT SHIT THO......
the only cod game i will buy if made is a full remake of world at war and not some shity remaster
“The Best WWII Game”.
Uh, that would be Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. In my humble opinion.
FACTS :)
Cod van trash 🗑️
Cold War is slower? LMAO 🤣 You serious?
If you think Cold War's time to kill is faster than Modern Warfare or Vanguard, your sense of time is off and you should probably stop doing heroin.
Tbh I've played 15 hours of Multiplayer and I think all the maps are shit.
The ones from World at War just play awfully in a modern meta.
Zombies is unfinished
Don't really care enough about campaigns anymore to even think that a good campaign would hold up the rest of the game.
@@lewiswaters8479 True on the statement. They can improve from it for sure. I'm confident they will add round based maps. As zombies has always had round based maps which everyone pretty much plays. And add outbreak but improved from cold war. As it is a neat idea to be honest.
noice
Its just MW2019 but with new cover vanguard thats the game same gun fight same gameplay same movement from 12 years till now lol
I deleted the game it’s trashhh
Its complete trash.
i love how these videos can be done in 7 minutes yet these channels all fool you guys and compete for the best "review" like just get to the point not make a video for contents sake, smh
Just wait for lame ow excuse me halo infinite. Yeah infinite cash grab. Ow excuse me. It's free to play. They need to make there money back. How much does Microsoft make. Apparently not enough.
Ow excuse me Nintendo makes phone computer
ur wrong about alot, not going to go into details as to why you are wrong as it would require a video. But your wrong, and thats not an opinion. TRUST ME. (But you are right about alot aswell)
He's so wrong you can't list a single thing 😂
Huh you mentioned nothing about the characters? Let's just say they're one of the reasons why Vanguard is mostly despised.
By racists, yeah. The characters are shallow stereotypes and little more- I’ve not seen criticism deeper than that that wasn’t just “BUHBUHBUH BLACK AND FEMALE SOLDIERS WERENT A THING”
I mean there weren't females that actually fought in WW2 but there were nurses for dealing wounded soldiers and I guess there were female spies during the war. As far as black people fighting in the war that is true. Women had to take take over production while men were fighting the war it's true look it up.
There were female soldiers in Russia- and the only female soldier in the game was Russian. As for multiplayer… if the gender and race of soldiers is your biggest accuracy complaint with Vanguard multiplayer, which has laser guns, red dot sights, suppressors and anime skins, than you should probably unpack that lmfaooooo
@@Kaceydotme Yes there was Russian women fighting in the war heck you see some in CoD 2 which I think you know. I'm saying that American women didn't fight in the war. They were in factories doing the men's job while they were away fighting in the war.
@@JustGenius2001 sure, they don’t in this game’s campaign either
