- Hey everyone and welcome to the Pick ‘N’ Mix Sweater pattern! This is a made to measure pattern consisting of double crochets and clusters. It’s a great design for using up scraps and adding pops of colour! As this pattern is made to measure, you can use any ply of yarn from your stash. I have provided the measurements that you will work towards (which you can find below), so you can concentrate on making an amazing sweater in any yarn that you desire!
The tutorial is in US TERMS.

Construction Details...
This garment is made up of 2 panels, one front and one back. They are both worked from the bottom up. You will then add a small amount of neckline shaping before seaming the pieces together. The sleeves are crocheted directly onto the garment. For my coloured sweater, I alternated between black and white for the foundation row, row 3, row 5, row 7 etc and then changed to random colours for the in-between cluster rows. This is completely optional.
This sweater has 8cm positive ease but due to the nature of the stitch pattern, it will create a fitted fabric. If you would prefer your sweater to be a bit looser, then I strongly suggest going up a size. You can also block your panels before seaming.
Here are some yarn estimates based on both 4ply (4mm hook) & DK yarn (5mm hook). You can find more details with regards to metres and yards in the written pattern - www.craftandac...
Please note the yarn measurements are estimates and it all depends on the yarn/hook you are using and the length that you go for! These are based on a cropped/waistline length.

I love how you explain where we may accidentally add or even miss a stitch, inaverdsntlly messing up our count for the row. Even having crocheting for a few years these areas can be problematic, or I second guess myself. Thanks for another great video!
You are so welcome!
Love, Love, LOVE your tutorials! Will always recommend you because you're so clear with your instructions - but you're also hilarious and most importantly, you don't edit out your mistakes! I'm stitching along with you making my own mistakes so every "What have I done here?" and "OOF I'm all thumbs" makes me feel that much less daft and I keep going
Ha ha aw thank you! I really appreciate that! Yes let's normalize mistakes!! They happen to all of us! 🤣🥰
This would be sooooo pretty with some ombre yarn, might have to make this for the fall!
@@addyc4 ooh yes it would!

It’s a joy to learn from you! Very entertaining and easy to understand. You taught me to make the foundation double crochet chain and I’m now crocheting my second sweater 😅. The first ones ever after crocheting mainly scarfs. Thanks so much love from The Netherlands ❤
Ah that's amazing! I'm so pleased you have enjoyed the tutorials 😍
Just watched to make sure it wasn’t super difficult - your instructions are so clear - and took advantage of your December discount on the written pattern. I’ve some sport weight yarn I think will be ideal for this lovely sweater. Thanks so much and Happy New Year!!
Ah lovely! Yes I do like to do full detailed tutorials! Sometimes I worry if babble too much but if I do, well nevermind 😆

You are very welcome!! I was a little hesitant making the red version as it looked soooo different but then I decided it helped to show how versatile it can be when done in one colour!

Aww thank you!
I am waiting for it ❤❤❤
Have you ever done a sock yarn sweater?
Not as a sweater but I have made a little summer shrug in some hand dyed sock yarn which was nice. I don't have that recorded though 🥰
I love this - I have to say I think the white/black/colour pattern attracted me, i love white/black colour change in almost any pattern. But the texture on this 😍 as soon as my Xmas gifts are done. This will be for me!
Do you have the written pattern up yet? X
Hi yes I do and it's also currently half price on my website, Etsy and Ravelry ua-cam.com/video/GXev1EcmHuU/v-deo.html
@@CraftandaCuppa thank you I’ve grabbed it! Might have to wait to be made till after Xmas sadly 😅

Is doing the cuffs would be thr same as doing it on the granny sweater?x
The cuffs are included in this UA-cam tutorial ❤️
@@CraftandaCuppa brillant thank u hunni. Eek looking forward to starting this evening or tomorrow x thank u for sharing ur work with us again x
Now I'm thinking to cuff it but with a 3quarter lenght sleeve. Haha. Decisions decisions 😂
@@emmachapman1179 you're welcome 😁
I'm making this now after buying the pattern. Its my first ever jumper. Is it normal for the back panel to get several cm wider than the starting foundation chain. It all seems to have grown! Including the fdch. Is my tension too loose or is this normal 😅 thanks 😊
Usually it shrinks, if you're not too far in I would suggest going back to the foundation ch and taking out however many sts it seems to be over your measurement 😊
Had to look up the exchange rate to US dollar.
I have a currency converter at the top of the shop page of my website 😊
Türkçe altyazı lütfen ❤
FYI: The word is "cinch" (pronounced "sinch") ;-)
Omg... this sweater looks amazing.....thank you for doing this tutorial for us
You're very welcome 😁
