    When you say "hold down the nozzle" to release the pressure, do you mean squeeze the handle? That's the only detail that isn't shown.

    • @Know-How-Now
      @Know-How-Now  3 роки тому +1

      Yes, squeeze the handle on the sprayer, releasing the product in the tank until there is little/no pressure. Then it is safe to remove the pump from the tank.

  • @mollydog444
    @mollydog444 3 роки тому

    I have a similar tank but with a pressure relief valve on the side. I noticed you can turn it one way to relieve pressure and another way to lock it closed. When you are pumping and spraying which position should it be in? I used it to release the pressure but I'm not sure which position it is supposed to be kept in or if the position matters.
    The instructions that came with mine were terrible and the manufacturer website was awful too. Although the instructions did say that if you still have liquid in the tank you can turn it upside down and release pressure through the nozzle, thus not having to remove all the liquid to release tank pressure. Thanks for the video - so clear, great.

    • @Know-How-Now
      @Know-How-Now  3 роки тому

    Very nice video - I actuall was having problems removing the handle insert to dump the old water even with pressure relieved. I have no words of wisdom here but you have to apply very slow connstant twisting motion counterclockwise to get the inset to budge a little. It's like a lug nut that has been over torqued. What I think I can do when I want to put the pump handle back in is to use some type of lubricant to the threads toease the untwisting motion. What do you think?

    • @Know-How-Now
      @Know-How-Now  5 років тому

      You could put some silicone spray on the threads . The other Idea would be to wrap the threads with plumber's tape (aka teflon tape). The downside to the tape is that you may have to reapply the tape. There is a chance that it stays stuck in the threads.

    I always lay the pump down on the ground--completely away from my face. Even if the handle depressurizes it could still have residual pressure and spray poison on your face when you open the tank.

    • @Know-How-Now
      @Know-How-Now  2 роки тому

      I'm not an expert plastic/materials used to make the tank sprayers. I do know that bleach can destroy some materials. That being said, the sprayers for bleach are likely made so that the bleach doesn't destroy them. So, my guess is that it would be OK to put that solution into a sprayer made for bleach. For the best answer, you should contact the manufacturer of you tank sprayer.

    hi there, I have a similar tank sprayer and I am getting lots of air bubbles making the water spit out. Any ideas as to how I fix that? Thank YOU :)

      If the sprayer did work correctly in the past, maybe the nozzle is clogged. You might try cleaning it out.

      I searched "garden sprayer replacement wand" on Google and found replacements are available.

    Is there a way to change that nozzle? I’m not sure how. Can you do a video on that

      It looks like you can buy replacement wands/parts, but it might cost more than a new sprayer. I know, it's sad we live in a throw away society. www.sprayer-outlet.com/Chapin-Sprayer-Parts.htm
