      I love gifting handmade gifts 🙂 I'm just starting to learn how to do embroidery and there's a few people who I'm super close with on my list that will be getting embroidered gifts from me this year ☺️

      I enjoy making jewelry so I really love giving a handmade piece to a friend or loved one that I’ve made specifically with them and their colors and style in mind.

    My favorite gift is when I can see that someone listened to me. Even if it's something simple like getting an item that I like in a certain color I love. Thoughtful gifts are the bests ^^

    I love gifts I can eat, or read, and experiences with family and friends- a ride somewhere that ends with coffee or cheese and wine. Flowers and plants too!

    As a family we always try to give useful and needed gifts. One year we got a garden shed from my parents and this year I know it's a duvet and pillows as ours are old and worn out xxxxx

    Ashlynne, I would love to know how you plan for Christmas spending? Do you break down a budget per person or a number of gifts per person? Gifting can be stressful to be because I'm trying to find a good gift with a (usually) very small budget

    • @savannahkeller9459
      @savannahkeller9459 3 роки тому

      What works for me is to create a budget per person and then add it all up to my overall Christmas gift budget. I actually keep a whole spreadsheet to keep track of my spending so I know how much, for who, and what.

    For the past couple years I made a wish list that contains everything I want and need, and I update this list throughout the year. For the past two years I encouraged my family and friends to do the samr, and they seem to get the hang of it. This way we can make sure that whatever we choose to give will be actually used and loved ❤

    Six of Crows duology was so good! Don't forget to read the follow-up duology, King of Scars! It might help to read Shadow and Bone trilogy first (though the trilogy was so-so for me). As a booklover, I completely agree that books are also an experience.

    Thanks for the great tips! My brother gave me a knife set years ago, and I often think about him when I'm prepping my food - definitely one of the best gifts I've ever gotten! I purchased Catan for my husband this year, so I'm happy to know it's going to be well used! I have some candles and soaps on the way from a local maker that I'm excited to gift as well. I really find that thoughtful intentional gifts make the holidays brighter as opposed to adding gift buying stress, and they're usually appreciated all around!

    This was a GREAT video! I've done all my shopping for my kids but I did end up getting my brother an instant pot cook book (he loved cooking and is getting an instapot from someone this year) and I also got him a great condition Nintendo 64 game that he used to love (he collects and plays games on old systems).

    This is awesome! Have you heard of Nomad Lane Bento bag? I've been using this quite some time and makes my travel more convenient. A duffel bag that packs like a suitcase, with a trolley sleeve, fits under the seat, has lots of compartment, has a key leash and is very stylish. I plan to give my friends the same bag I love using for travel.

    Hi, Ashlynne! For anyone looking for a cruelty free, vegan lip balm- Crazy Rumors are amazing. They are really effective and smell great. I'm coveting the cinnamon bun one at the moment! 😋😋😋 I like to give edible gifts I've made myself- peanut butter cups and chocolate gingers are favourites. Have a great weekend.

    Awesome content as always! This video came just in time! 🍁✨
    I was wondering how your pots and pans have been holding up, if they’ve lost any of their non-stick, if they only make small portions of food, etc. I’ve been thinking about purchasing but want to make sure it’s going to be worth it!
    Thanks for the input! ✨

    • @AshlynneEaton
      @AshlynneEaton  3 роки тому +2

      Hey!! So we did accidentally learn the hard way with one pan that you need to follow the instructions and not overheat the pans (whoops 😅), but since we replaced that pan they’ve all held up very well and are still completely nonstick!
      Then as far as the actual pots and pans go, I love the sizes! Christopher and I find them to be a great size and the perfect variety for our needs. Hope this helps! 🤍

    Have you tried to use loose leaf tea to make full pitcher of iced tea? I’d like to get away from tea bags, but I’m afraid it wouldn’t work. I’m Italian, too! 😊😊 Diane in Denmark pronounces it “HOO-guh”.

    • @AshlynneEaton
      @AshlynneEaton  3 роки тому +1

      I actually don’t drink much iced tea, so I’m not exactly sure, but I make a French press of it pretty regularly so I assume it would! And that’s awesome! I love Signe from Use Less (she’s also Danish) so I watched a video where she was saying it, but it’s definitely still a hard one for me. Trying though! 😅☺️🤍

    In some cultures it is inappropriate to give knives or watches (a knife - symbol of future argument, a watch - symbol of limited time to death). Personally I do not believe in those superstitions even though that's how I am raised haha. Treat it as fun fact, please. :)

    Why not try educational books as gifts to kids? While young they would be at an optimal age of learning and growing so why not nurture it further with learning books? If you're child is not keen on books, you can have it tailor made to match their theme , basically their own *personalised childrens books*
