Love the hand crochet scarf! What a neat idea instead of using crochet or knitting hooks just use your hands! I crochet a lot so this gives me an idea to do some diy scarves this year as gifts.
For anyone who can knit and crochet I would love love love to receive a gift handmade by someone I know. Scarfs, hats, shopping bags, blankets. I have a large head to finding a hat that fits well is challenging. I just cut my hair really short and live in a really cold place so I was overjoyed to find some hand knitted new hats in a thrift store that fit perfectly and they are saving me from freezing this winter.
Wood burning is totally food safe! Rub in some food safe oil (cutting board oil for example-found at any hardware store) let it soak in/ dry overnight and it's good to go! Reapply the oil ever so often, depending on how often you wash, and that will keep your wood beautiful!
I heard that your heart grew beyond your body!!! Larger than the Sun!!! Lone Fox You are loved by people you will never meet!💝🦋✌️🕊️ The kindness You spread with helping English Family in Nova Scotia is just Astoundingly Amazing!
To keep your finger knitting even, you can pull your loops over a piece of dowel, a ruler, even a piece of fabric to keep them all organized and keep the loops all the same size. For a very chunky knit, you can even hold all the loops on your arm! I love that you shared a knitting project for people who don't have all the tools already!!
That scarf looks so comfy and warm. I love it! As for the clothes, loved them all and when it comes to modeling you're a natural! I always look forward to your videos.
I LOVE the cutting board idea. I would probably make a loaf of homemade artisan bread (or pumpkin, banana or zucchini bread would work also), then maybe find a small wooden bowl (add initials or word) and fill with either a creamy whipped herb butter, whipped cream cheese or honey butter for sweeter breads.) Actually, I think I WILL do that for Christmas presents. :-)
@@jessicajordan680 Absolutely you can. I actually spent last week baking (I kid you not...) 1,500 cookies for our Christmas tree lighting party at church. Here's the crazy thing...I'm sitting here planning more baking this week. I literally will be baking pumpkin bread and doing a little container of cream cheese frosting for anyone who wants to smear it on. This is why Drew's cutting board idea is so perfect. :-) I was actually also thinking about making some either homemade baguettes or ciabatta, then fixing a jar of bruschetta to change things up a bit. Maybe making some homemade mozzarella to go with it -- and there you are...a fun, edible present.
Thank you for these great ideas! I’m going to try my hand at the scarf for sure. Have you ever looked in to getting a cricut joy ? It’s small and works using a phone if you like. It could cut out a stencil for you very easily.
THANK YOU THANK YOU. You truly make my day to watch your videos. You bring happiness to this almost 73 yr old. Love your Christmas 🎄. Rosie from Weslaco Texas in the Rio Grande Valley 😀❤💙😍
Some of these look super fun- thank you for linking the burning tool. I wish the yarn types had been specified as together they gave a really cool texture
Love the scarf - I'm going to use this knotting process for a wall hanging and perhaps a scarf too. Thanks for the clear and easy instructions. Happy Gift Giving!!!
Drew, seeing you model the outfits took me back to watching your other channel. You should be a model. So handsome. I also liked all your gift ideas especially the cutting board. Well done.
Love the wood burning. You can try printing the letters out mirrored and transfering them onto the wood with nail polish on a cotton ball rubbed over the letters on the blank side. We used to do this in school. Saves time with the stencil.
you can color the backside of the picture you want to burn, dark with pencil, you can turn it and trace the picture right on the wood. It's a bit like carbon/graphite paper
Well I don't think I'll make a video but what I did was this: 1. Look up cocktail recipes online and .put them in Canva, edit it to be nice and fun (Also made a cute little cover) Download and edit the sizes in Word (I made them one cm smaller in width and height that a regular card). Now print. 3. I had some (brown rectangle shaped) cards at home, you can use any color. 4. Choose a nice order. I used dubble sided stickers to stick the recipes - on all 4 sides I put one recipe. 5. Just stack the cards on top of eachother and use a hole puncher to put two holes in and bind them together with a ribbon. Make sure you have enough room for the holes when sticking on the recipes otherwis you punch the recipe. I used normal paper but "luxurious" u can maybe use picture paper
I don't think this TOPS last year but I want every single gift this year. Easy, affordable, customizable. Drew sir, for Christmas I hope Netflix or Hulu contacts you 😁💖
I absolutely loved all the clothing pieces and you looked fabulous modeling them Drew. Loved each DIY project also - you make everything look so effortless, but I'm skeptical of my ability to make things look as good as you do. That scarf with all of the beautiful textures and colors is epic!!!
i’m not exaggerating when i say i have been WAITING for this video! oh, and i’m gonna have to get a wood burning tool, lol. also making the bowls for my parent’s cats. thank you for the inspiration, i’m so excited! 🎄❤️
That scarf 🧣 is beautiful! You explained & demonstrated well enough I feel I can reference this video to make my own. So excited to try so of these. ❤️
Boy, I've had such a weird year, and haven't been watching DIY channels as much, but clicked on yours while making presents, and wow, have I been missing out! Happy Holidays honey! x
Love the idea of combining multiple strands of regular yarn to make it thicker! I haven't found super thick yarn for hand crocheting in my local store, so this idea is perfect 😁
I have a wooden spoon that has been wood burned and 9nce you seal 8t with some food grade mineral oil or a butcher block conditioning cream, it's totally fine to use!
To make a usable spoon, do the wood burning on the handle, towards the end (so the burning doesn't wear off with use)
That's what I was thinking, the burning wouldn't stop it being usable just would have to wash it
Wood burning is food safe. It's usable as he made it! No worries.
@@Jessa8891 that's what I thought
@@Jessa8891 unless the wood finish isn't safe after burning?

Really cool DIY gifts. I have to get myself a wood burning pen!😃💞
Tip for polymer clay, if you paint it while its still warm (not fresh outta the oven but warm) it sets the paint better :)
Ohhh!!! Love this tip and that piece actually was a little warm haha!
Thanks for the tip!
My favorite ones are the cutting and the scarf. Everything turned out awesome!
