This isn't a trail test. It's motocross in the woods. I'd love to see how the bike does in some rock gardens, techy single track stuff, clutch slippy hill crawls etc. I'm getting more of a cross country racer vibe from this bike which isn't a bad thing. I just want a Japanese hard enduro bike already.
It's an mx bike with with an 18" essentially. Same with the crfrx. The yzfx models can do more hard enduro style riding, they have the wr wide ratio trans while the honda and kx have the mx trans. You can also through a wr400-426 trans in the yz250 smoker.
@@panic-revv85 I know they say the springs and valves are softer, but I'm hoping for an engine that can handle the gnar. The YZ is better as a 2t (no experience with the FX 4t) but it's still not the same when the going gets rough.
@ShadowsFirst the fx can get into some nasty stuff. Ive got a number of friends on them, it's the mountain goat of 4t bikes. Plus, if you put an oversized tank on it it's not as noticeable.
Boysen rad valve. Pro circuit exhaust and silencer. Proper jetting. Milled head if you really wanna wake her up. I loved my 200 and with +1 rear she was a torquey hill climber and corner to corner rocket.
do you think this bike is too heavy for a girl 130pounds and 5feet4. i just buy this year my klx140rl and it was fun but also booring at this timeand i need more challenge . trail, enduro and track for me do you recommand ?
I have a klx 230 nd a Wr 250f . kawasaki should make a kx x 6 gears nd they are gonna step in the game same with honda they have a cross country bike but they use the same transmission than a mx bike its really a bad choice .
250 4stroke in the bush is asking for trouble. All you need is to over heat it a few times and its going to grenade in the middle of bum fk. Better off with the YZ250X 2stroke got more dependable grunt.
There is no such thing as "hard Enduro" this is a term created by people who never competed in a 12 race series week after week. These people will say I rode an Enduro 1 time...ride a 12 race series then tell me it was easy....ant BTW Kawasaki.....make a damn TWO STROKE
Not having any POV footage from his helmet or chest is a mistake. Offroad 3rd person shots for 3 seconds before they dissappear again into the trees feels like an ADD kid did the edit.
This test really is totally no good for this bike, the X is supposed to be more trail focused, what’s happened here is it’s been ridden in almost an M/X fashion and certainly an enduro race fashion. I own 2 450 X’s and honestly they aren’t great as a trail bike, it’s still got the Mx gearbox, you spend all your time in 1st gear on rocky climbs, even gearing it down for better acceleration so you can shift up a gear or two isn’t perfect. Yes riding it flat out is great, but slower speed technical stuff isn’t enjoyable on these bikes, can only be ridden on the soft map, std map, green plug, the throttle is way to on/off as you open the throttle. I ride my bikes in Spain, on Rocky trails it’s constant clutch slip to navigate it, or it will stall easily, if I had the option to test one before buying two, I’d have bought a different bike!
@@DirtBikeMagazine Review sucks guys. Just moto guys honking it GNCC style. No trail footage, no tight trail footage, no talk of gear ratio or flame out etc. Yea CB can handle a good trail but the rest? lol Bring him or any others to Hawaii and put him in one of my races. I'll hang and im 50 lol.
@@Madtigertv he talks about gear ratios. maybe watch the whole video before crying online. and this "moto squirrel" has already done erzberg and Tennessee knockout without crying....so what's your point, again?

Only a matter of time before this guy meets a birch tree.
This is how I think I look when I ride
Yeah no shit then I watch the go pro back and look like a damn cartoon
nice sound
nice Jday weapon
Isn’t Carson Brown known for his ability to shred even the worst bikes?
Id like to know how this compares to yz250fx
The fx is better because of the 6 speed transmission.
@@nvmcrider8475 Bigger tank too
6 SPEED transmission makes a HUGE difference also it needs a fan as well. I would get the YZ250X myself.

If only they had not abandoned 2 strokes. - YZ125X or YZ250X only ones available new other than Euro.
Test the yz250fx
bush diving.
first where my free bike at??

They make these things called fans. Wild, i know.
@OtisFlint if it was the fan that needed replacement, that would be great. But the fan melts too.

Give the kx250x to a proper enduro rider and not a mx rider to test
Carson rides everything . Mark Tilley also rode the bike
Far from trail riding. Real trail would make those moto squirrels cry lol
