@@CabralCreates Well you were right on the money. Until now, I have evening just re-inventing the wheel each week hoping something sticks but it never does. I have seen the elements of the aesthetics I want in other films and video, but never thought study, dissect, and combine them in the way you just explained it.
@@SoRealSoReal23 Thanks again! Yeah I feel a lot of creatives like us spend their whole lives trying to find ourselves but never do, but trust me I can't wait to see what you become once you perfect your own style.
@@CabralCreates but seriously your editing style is actually beautiful and i was also curious did you add film grain as an effect or did you shoot this on film?
@@user-y5m5x Great question, I can't afford to shoot on film but it's a mix of my old camera GH5 with Film Emulation from Dehancer, yes there's grain in it, anywhere from 65mm 250 or 65mm 50. The Emulation formula is Kodak 200 Gold and the film print is Kodak 2383. The GH5 is so soft that it helps sell the look, I've paired it with the S5iiX but I feel the GH5 is so soft it looks more filmic but it's a hard camera to master. 7 years using it helps.
So it’s not just editing each individual person has their own style just like their clothing style or writing style Thankyou for helping me realise this
Yes! It applies to everything in life even sports like basketball, when I was a kid I took tricks from Jordan, Kobe and others and made my own style. It's the best and easiest way to find yourself. Thanks for watching!
im having the problem of establishing my style. and trying to make it actually authentic to ME and not heavily influenced by creators that i feel aren't doing things for the love of them
Just focus on creating and watching a lot of films and tv shows and eventually you’ll shape your own super unique style, it’ll come naturally to you trust me you’re in the right path by searching for knowledge and a style, must people don’t even think about it. 😁
@CabralCreates I appreciate that. I'm gonna take your advice because honestly I don't consume shows like I used to.(due to depression) and I AM the type to analyze scenes AS I watch. Sounds like it's just time to get back In my bag 💯 many blessing bro thank you
Yeah feel free to always ask anything. What’s the purpose of adding a dog in any movie? Or any pet? He’s a big part of my life like a son to me and in every good story of you fail to show what makes a character human you’ve failed to accomplish one of the first goals of great storytelling which is to make a character relatable. Hopefully that helps.

In less than 3 minutes, you’ve explained something I have been searching for years now. Thank you!
Omg thank you 🙏🏽 I tried to make it as easy as possible because it really helped me. After I discovered this I changed as an editor and creator.

@ That’s a great skill to have, use it! Don’t over think it just start!
Can I ask you a question? What made you add the dog scenes in your edit? Like, what's the purpose of it?
