I think they should keep the Duke title but permanently remove the HRH and post on the website they are not representing King or Country. It will take years for any legislation to remove Duke titles and even then it will be conditional. Better to just focus on things we can achieve that will have a big impact. If possible my next vote would be to remove the Prince title as that prevents markle from telling everyone she’s a princess and okaying they call her princess Meghan. I believe the king can limit a prince title through an act as long as parliament agrees with the move.

Meghan has no titles or styles in her own right. She only has courtesy titles because she is the wife of someone who carries titles. As long as she is married to Harry she keeps them. She would also keep them if they divorce, unless she were to remarry.

Prince is different, it's an honorific style rather than a noble title and if the Dukedom is taken away Harry is still a Prince. Meghan has no titles or styles in her own right. She only has courtesy titles because she is the wife of someone who carries titles. As long as she is married to Harry she keeps them. She would also keep them if they divorce, unless she were to remarry.

People are calling for Meghan to have her title removed, but she doesn't have one in her own right, only because she is the spouse of someone who carries a title.
Prince is different, it's an honorific style rather than a noble title and if the Dukedom is taken away Harry is still a Prince. However, as Meghan is not a blood born Royal, she can never be a Princess in her own right. She would only be allowed to take Harry's style and call herself Princess Henry (Harry's birth name). Of course, it is possible that Harry could have his Prince style revoked, in which case Meghan wouldn't be able to use it at all.
Complicated isn't it? And much more difficult to deal with than most people realize when they shout for removals.
