I’m going on 37 years being HIV/aids. It is a life of working on your ever changing health. 62 years old and mind/body feel 82 years old. I’m so happy to be around to complain about it. COVID twice, allergic reaction to vaccine and long COVID adding to my decline. Keep fighting to be here, wish me a good long battle

Just because someone is living with HIV doesn't mean sexual castration? She's probably undetectable and so she cannot transmit it sexually. And she literally just said that it was traumatising at the time. What else can she do now apart from be positive?
P.s. Your stigma is showing. Stop it.

      Crystal,
      Woah…. Slow a bit.
She didn’t laugh. She said she is working with people in Washington to perhaps provide rapid access treatment to other parts of the world.
She also stated of those being treated only half are virally suppressed.
She was a writer for POZ magazine, a grassroots AIDS action group, responsible for saving million of people”s lives. Also, remember she write with her identity hidden for her privacy and chose to expose her private identity possibly to show the world there is hope, although more needs to be done as she stated.
I’m a female HIV negative but I lost two best friends to HIV. One died of HIV lymphoma with a high CD4 and good percentage.
Another died from a resistant strain and he couldn’t tolerate any meds.
I understand your emotions and anger at this disease. Although better it has a way to go and people like this woman working at POZ and with Washington help in ways which are invaluable to many.
I understand your anger. My best friend died of this disease.
He was my soul mate, but she is a friend and maybe inspiration to some teenager or young woman with no support and no hope.
