@@pwethman1 most musicians actually dont have perfect pitch even though it seems like it. Perfect pitch is really something your born with or learn at a very young age where you can identify pitches based off sound. He probably has quasi or semi-perfect pitch where you can identify notes based off of your memory of hearing those notes over and over again. When he figured out the chord progression he used something called relative pitch were he know what the intervals were. People with actually perfect pitch have trouble with this because they dont think in intervals. So someone like me who doesnt have perfect pitch would think that its a ii-IV-V progression and then figure out the key, someone with perfect pitch would go thats a F#m-A-E and then think about the interval based on the pitches. So basically perfect pitch is something your born with and may be different than what you think and may not be the best thing. It definitely helps with audiation but intervals are actually harder to figure out based off of their sound vs how far apart the notes are. And one thing about perfect pitch is it actually goes away when you get older and can really make you struggle with your music. Absolutely! Totally agree re ‘Pyramid Song’. Bear in mind that Thom was performing ‘High and Dry’ when he was about 18, with Headless Chickens, so it’s a very early song for him.

The entire “A Moon Shaped Pool” is a sonic adventure! Compared to the Bends it’s extraterrestrial! Choosing one song is tough. I’d say either “Daydreaming” or “Decks Dark”.
For a composer I would definitely recommend some Radiohead hits like, Pyramid song, Weird Fishes/Arpeggi, or Jigsaw Falling Into Place!! Love the reaction btw 🤙🏻

After pleading with you to react to some King Crimson I was really sorry to see your video on Starless get taken down. King Crimson used to be notoriously protective of their copyright until the last year when they released all of their studio music to streaming services and UA-cam on their own channel. Unfortunately, it seems that the copyright owners of some of their live material (not the band themselves or DGM, their management) haven’t loosened up so I’d recommend sticking to studio recordings if, as I hope, you decide to try again with KC.
There's something to be said on the simplicity yet the effectiveness of pop music but I always prefer the "what is that" reaction when I'm bombarded with complexity.

@@robinstrauss4351 YES. it's a great album, maybe less cosy than the previous one by Cacophony. GO OFF was unreasonably underrated by the media. To me, this kind of music was simply astonishing.
Something to remember about Radiohead is their chronological journey. They couldn’t fully express themselves until they had gained a critical mass (experimental rock didn’t have interest in the early/mid 90s). It’s why Pablo Honey and The Bends (to me) are kinda safe and pop-adjacent. I mean you said it: “this sounds like the 90s”. Once they had a foothold, they could be expressive. That’s when we got OK Computer. You’d be well-served to do piano reactions to things from Kid A, Amnesiac, Hail To The Thief, In Rainbows, The King Of Limbs, and A Moon Shaped Pool, as that’s the more sonically creative stuff. Plus the B-Sides. You already did The Daily Mail (a personal favorite), but I’d recommend Spectre, their submission for a Bond theme.

TAAB ranks with 70s Genesis or Pink Floyd as a masterwork of early prog, both in lyrics and music. Aqualung is interesting for the different musical styles used, and even employing atonal phrases where arguably there isn't really a key-center to the melodic phrase] Moon Hooch - Number 9 [Moon Hooch is a pair of saxophonists backed by a drummer, exploring just how far they can stretch their instrument's sound. I recommend that you check out Jabra headsets. You could use a good blue tooth headset that would rid you of the cumbersome wire when sitting at the piano. Jabra's fidelity is excellent and are similarly priced to the corded headset you put in your Karma account. Amazon sells them.
Thanks for explaining why I play E major with my right hand in the chorus on the words 'High' and 'Dry' even though my left is playing F#m and A, when I play this. I was unsure whether I was doing it right. I don't have perfect pitch but I can pick stuff up by ear, and that's the way I play it but I doubted that I was hearing it properly.
Since you enjoy the compositional aspect of these things, I'll once again recommend Speed Metal Symphony by Cacophany, and Air by Jason Becker (half of Cacophony). Becker has a fascinating backstory; you might like his "End of the Beginning" as well. You'll also like Malmsteen's Trilogy Suite Op. 5 I think.
This is one of my favorite Radiohead tunes. I love that they made 2 videos. One for US and one for the rest of the world. I had never seen this version or realized their was an alternate version until years later when youtube became a thing. This video is garbage but the US version is an amazing cool video that tells a wild story that makes no sense but keeps your attention.

Day nr. 8 of asking a metropolis pt.2 (dream theater) reaction. It is a really special album with incredible story. I went to the last tour and the played the whole album and it was the best thing in my life. I recommend the Live Scenes from New York version just because the Portnoy solo in Finally Free is the most epic s*** i ever seen
Yes, they like to use a common tone a lot of their songs. It really works. So funny to see you do a song that they have effectively disowned. (I still like it; but they clearly have not been fans of it in a long time.) They've got much more interesting material. Try out Pyramid Song on the piano. You'll have your mind blown.
