Hi Claudia! Long story, not short 😄 This month on the 17th will make 2 years my Mom passed. She loved yellow roses, it was a childhood thing I started when I was around 13. I worked summer jobs and I would buy her yellow roses. Her neighbor of 40 years sent a money gift when she passed for me to plant a rose in her honor, from her. After much searching and research that winter, I chose Teasing Georgia! You will love yours! 💛 I received it Spring of 2023, bare root from DA, planted it and it greened up right away. I had blooms and some height, not much. This year it is at the 5’ height and has more blooms. I’m looking forward to next year as the 3rd year it will leap! 😄 It’s a soft yellow but kind of has an apricot hue, it is gorgeous! Enjoy 💛
Awww Denise, thank you for sharing this with me, I truly am so touched. I’m sorry that your mom passed, but I think what you did so special. Funny enough, yellow is one of my mom’s favorite colors and always think of her when I plant yellow flowers. This is the first year my mom has seen my garden since we bought our home and it’s been so special sharing my space with her. I love that you have Teasing Georgia and in her honor. I will remember this story every time I see mine. 🥰💛
Wow thank you so much!! I can’t spend hours with the dahlias. I always get excited to see how they look under the soil but I sure will miss their beautiful blooms.
Hallo sweet Claudia. How beautiful thank you. I love the squirrel running on the wires above your head at time stamp 12:26!!!! So wasn't expecting that! Well done dear one.
That put the biggest smile on my face. He’s one of our regulars and he’s busy hiding acorns right now. At this point he doesn’t even shy away when he sees me in the garden. 😆💗
loved the video. your dahlias are amazing. thanks for sharing with us. hope you have a great day. and roses are beautiful plants too have in your garden. nice ones picked.
Hi Claudia, I'm glad I got to know your channel through Janey...You have a beautiful garden and the tips on collecting seeds, amazing...🤗 Can't wait to see you work on your side garden...
Awww thanks friend!!!! So I have some news on that! Our neighbor removed the big tree so that changes everything and gives us so much opportunity to plant there! I’m going to take some time to really plant out the space and reference Kate’s suggestions. I can’t wait to develop that garden with you all. 🥰💗
I TRY to get my hands on ANYTHING that has a pleasing scent for my garden and is hardy to my zone 6a garden. I also like to plant fragrant annuals nothing beats walking through a garden and you catch a scent in the breeze ! 🌺💚🙃
Exactly! It adds so much to the garden. I love when our magnolias are blooming, it’s the most pleasant smell. I think about creating moments and spaces that make me want to be in them and adding plants either scents definitely do that for me. 🥰💗
Hi Claudia and Sergey 👋 Those Roses are going to look beautiful 😍 My 2 favorite Roses has been the Ebb Tide (purple) and the Ketchup Mustard 💜 Thank you for another great video. You take good care 😊
I bought some heirloom roses this spring, Koco loco, plum something, and distant drums. Distant Drums is a stunning rose, my all time favorite ! GORGEOUS! 🌺💚🙃
Absolutely!! They came from Dania Furniture. If you click into Outdoor tab you will find them there. I love them, they are light and super beautiful in person. 🥰
Claudia, the yellow rose is a sign of friendship! So it is a perfect addition to your garden.
I love that and am always going to remember that! 🥰💛
