the DEFINITIVE classic sonic generations mod!

Sonic generations classic sonic improvement mod gameplay with commentary, I liked playing classic sonic in generations but it wasn't as good or replayable as the classic games especially with the lack of momentum but this mod makes it so much better!

The 3ds version of generations actually has a more accurate version of classic sonic physics, though no drop dash.

Funny enough I made a video using this mod yesterday, but I kinda tweaked it a little to work in Sonic’s 3D Act 2 levels. Simply increase Sonic’s speed cap, slope dependency and turning radius and he is a blast to play in 3D

For anyone else who didn’t know, Classic Sonic also has his classic animations. Most notably his original run with his legs completely spinning

I don't like the model but thankfully you can disable it and swap it out for something else. Generally the American Greg Martin Classic Sonic just doesn't appeal to me. I usually saw Classic Sonic through the filter of the Japanese artwork which is clearly the original vision for Classic Sonic so the model for this mod just doesn't work for me especially considering Mania did a great job translating the aformentioned original vision to current age. But I guess it's personal preference.

I personally use a Sonic 2 style model because I am also not a huge fan of the American influence this model has

@@ThemFish75 I use that mod as well (though it does look weird at some angles) but you do realize that Sonic 2 was made by the American side of Sega... Right?

@@mr.productions9431 yes, Sega of America made Sonic 2, but the sprites the model is based off of is the same as Sonic 1. Sonic 1 was made by Sega of Japan, meaning the in game design for Sonic 2 is the same Japanese design as 1, same can be said for Sonic CD
