This was from In Concert which aired on ABC that aired every Friday night from 1973 to 1976. Never will forget this performance I was hooked right away.
Could you imagine them at Glastonbury? Would a Glastonbury crowd appreciate them , would a Glastonbury crowd have the intelligence to enjoy them , a crowd raised on Kylie and the like , personally I don’t see it
I was lucky enough to see SAHB live many times in the early 70's, and it was an amazing experience that I will never forget, never equalled since ! Best gig was London Palladium ! But why have "fake canned laughter" & applause at the "funny bits !!
Blessed to have seen them four times (not a shabby record for a yank!), and my favorite band of all time. That's why... I am... the Tomahawk Kid! Love these guys!
What a find, remembers me the good old days of real acts and music. Saw them at the Olympia in Paris around 73 I think, and at the Reading festival. Still in love with this fabulous band.
Much love from Greece to all SAHB fans globally! It surprised me to read Americans were generally unaware of him... Cause as a greek I relate him more to the american rnr tradition and mentality. He could be feeling at home on stage with Screaming Jay Hawkins, the bands from CBGB's, Max's, the west coast rockers... Iggy, garageheads, bluesmen, rockabillies, psychobillies, anyone anyone. It is a real shame America missed on him. Nice of you to scavenge more than mainstream. Cheers.
It's wierd to Me that people didn't know about SAHB! Another local band that We all saw countless times, that never got the coverage or recognition They deserved.
@@lesliemackay7853 I was introduced to them by a friend of a friend that traveled 1000 miles away from home. 40 years later ,I have still not meet of even heard of another Canadian that have know of SAHB. I will forever be grateful to my friend Dave for introducing this band to me
@@samspookyrice9058 I've known about them for almost 20 years, once I heard The Faith Healer on a local radio station, I bought the album "Next" and then their first album "Framed". Alex and I treaded on the same ground, The Miami Seaquarium, of course he was long dead when I visited, back in '89 but I read an article about his band performing in Miami at the time, so he went there. Alex was larger than life and burned out too soon, his alcoholism didn't help either. Probably my favorite frontman from that era, there is a book about his life that is worth reading too.
Sensational to see this, just as I remember them in their pomp. Seeing the audience all sat down is kinda weird....we always rushed the stage when the lights went down. RIP Alex, Ted...the Band really was 'somethin' else'
@@terrysteward just did a quick sweep of the obits, no details. Just Zal and Chris now...we do still have our memories of the 'Boys' though. What a band...
For those who do not think KISS was influenced by this band. Gene stole Chris Glen's stance and at 1:29 of this video Gene may have got the tongue idea. I had front row at Akron Civic Theatre and this will ALWAYS be my all-time favorite concert. SENSATIONAL!!!
"Pure Theatre", before the concept even existed for rock bands , and I am proud to say, saw the band 3x time in the 70's in Green Playhouse/Apollo..Glasgow
This must be 1976. It looks exactly like the show from the UK spring tour. I saw them at Manchester Free Trade Hall. I was 13, and my mind was completely blown. My dad picked me up and was horrified at all the freaks in the audience. I knew from that moment, I wanted to be with the freaks.
Pure theatre from Alex, excellenty executed with great music from the band. Takes me back to Hammersmith Odeon in the good ol 70's when I first saw them. Brilliant.
Ahead of their time in many ways. Just a great combination of individual styles that gelled perfectly. The original Tear Gas band was just waiting for Alex to come along.
@@lordelpus2099 There is no question that Nazareth were a superb outfit…I suppose it’s all down to personal choice….in comparison, SAHB we’re very short lived…but what they produced in a relatively short time was astonishing….and their live shows were a real event…for me …Vambo Rools!😂
I HAVE NEVER,EVER HEARD OF OR SEEN THESE GUY'S..THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS LIVE SHOW... I AM KIND OF IN THAT FRAME OF MIND OF WHAT THE HECK IS THIS THAT I AM SEEING????
I never got to see my favorite band because my parents would not let me . They said it would rot my brain. I showed them . I bought every lp available by TSAB and played them as loud as I could. Ang that is as far as my story goes because I was Framed. Just joking. My parents were actualy wonderful people and I miss them dearly. From old age. Hell I am pushing 60. But this the best band there ever was. Alex was an genious.

Just discovered these guys, can't have enough of them. I'm 63.
I saw them at Knebworth 1974 , i was hooked absolutely amazing band ! Zal was brilliant!
Truely sensational - 45 years ago and still way ahead of the times - there will never be another band like this one.
nobody can equal this band.
This is the nearest thing to actually seeing them live. They were a fantastic live band!
you have this one, black and white , but its a killer ua-cam.com/video/YRbfFZnJZYQ/v-deo.html
...couldn't agree more
Умница!
I'd say the 1974 black and white footage from Norway is even better
The best live band I have ever seen. They were trail blazers for the more theatrical act. So entertaining plus brilliant music.
For God's sake, how has this not got more love than this? Greatest rock band Scotland ever produced. Respect to Zal Cleminson. Nice tasche, Tommy.
Its an absolute joy watching this---what an incredibly great live band SAHB were.....love them...always will xx

Haven't seen this clip before, loved them back in the 1970's. I know a band who pay tribute to them playing Delilah, fabulous ❤
Awesome performance, and great quality. More please!!!!
can't understand why this only has 415 likes. This is a great recording of a great performance

Thank you for putting this up.....what a find!

Yeah Reading, Saturday afternoon first time then back to headline with bagpipers! Amazing
Saw them live twice in the 70s. They put on a hell of a show and Alex was genuinely both lovable and scary.
Brilliant live band I saw them live first time at the Birmingham Town Hall in 1974 I was still at school at the time
Yep me too..... 👍
Everybody in the band is great but Zal was the man. Great guitar player, great showman.
Alex was a musical genius. Too bad most of America missed out on that. I was one of his few fans here
