Man I feel for ya. Not feeling good and fought through it. Not going to get done by looking at it.
Well Done!! I had good luck with putting that clutch and plate on the input shaft, then stab the
Transmission, and put the bolts in the pressure plate through the bottom cover hole.
Yes you need to roll the motor a few times, but much easier for me.
Fine job. On your tank patch could you put a thicker piece of rubber to shim the patch, then install your insulator to help keep pressure off the patch?

Good luck Gerald. Hell of a job. By yourself. I just found out this week my 2000 isx has an oil leak were engine and bell housing goes together. Didn’t know there was oil in there. 80 dollar gasket. Mechanic said about 25 hours labor. After seeing your job I can believe it. Does. Cat have oil in there. Good luck. Great video.

Yes a cat has oil back there. The bottom of the fly wheel housing is actually where the last few inch of the oil pan bolts to. It’s not a fun job to do and 25 hours sounds about right.

Thank you guys! I’m glad he is better and you are headed to the lake house for the summer. Sounds like a good get away.
David I grew up in trucking on both sides of my family. I started doing all the little things I could and a little kid. Washing, lights etc and kept on learning as I got older and was able to do more. This whole project was a 3-4 days work time. Can’t really remember. It was cold and I was sick so I had a half day in there and had to wait 3-4 days in the motor mount brackets.

Hi , while you have your tank off you could do one of my favorite mods I had on my truck . a shit trap tank welded under the tank usually the front being the lowest part of the tank . this catches all the dirt and water leaving the filter any microns of dirt in cloudy diesel to deal with . then once a year drain all the crap into a bucket . the shit trap is a constant cleaning system that works with any movement of the truck and theres nothing better or cheaper . mine i made 8"x6" around 2" deep drill a hole in the main tank about 5/8" debure it then weld so its centre of the hole is in the middle of the shit trap to stop any flow back ...
