I find it interesting in that it seems a lot of the anime episodes show relatively accurate heights for these pokemon with one of the major exceptions being the legendary birds. In pokemon 2000 they are shown as being more than twice the size of a normal person.
Kyogre is probably meant to be measured from head to tail, not flipper tip to flipper tip, making it a similar size to Groudon. However, this way is ok too as in the anime and stuff they are represented as Kaiju-sized behemoths, not barely taller than a professional basketball player.
Honestly I like the idea of legends being insanely huge, and seeing kyogre that big made that part of me very happy lol, I think these insanely powerful pokémon, some even being literal gods, should be massive honestly.

See I do agree with a lot of this but the scale is off for some just like animals are I believe that the Max height measurement should be measured at the head or hip (for quadrupeds) horns and antlers makes sense to increase the height but stuff like wings that go above the head I don’t think should contribute to the overall height of Pokémon so some of them would probably have been bigger in comparison to the trainer
You're right. Quadrupeds are usually measured from the shoulder to the ground. Unless Juichi Masuda has said otherwise, that would actually make many more of the quadpedal pokemon bigger than listed here.

I subscribe to the theory that each legend we see is akin to a sock puppet or a limb to a much larger, much stronger being that can push more energy into their facade to make it stronger at a critical moment. With Groudon, Kyogre, Palkia, Dialga, and Giratina we actively see them do this with Primal Reversion/Origin Forms. The Thundurus, Tornadus, Landrus, Enamorus set too, with their Therian forms. Arceus is confirmed to be such, so why not his strongest creations?

There's something so funny to me about normal Latios being bigger than Mega Latias
Can we start counting ultra beasts to the legendary cathegory?
No, they aren't legendary pokemon
I still can't believe that the Sword and Sheild due are as big as Zekrom and Reshiram...
Just how cool that Eternatus and its form beat Wailord into being the largest Pokemon by height.
What’s the song at the start !!
Hey this is just a favor to do if you do this next time, I know how you did Hoopa, but can you do Hoopa Unbound next time. I mean you did Gigantamax right so how about adding one more.
Groudon's height...to think the land-creating mountain-raising volcano-bathing god of the land can fit through a slightly taller doorframe...
I thought the Regi "Giants" must have been taller, turns out they are just of my height.
I definitely think some of them are measured via wingspan and or length cuz some of them just seem too big especially for their counterparts
it also posts the question as to why is Primal Groudon taller than normal Groudon like I get it as you get older you get shorter normally, but why does the fantasy lizard creature have to abide by what humans do when aging?
I subscribe to the theory that each legend we see is akin to a sock puppet or a limb to a much larger, much stronger being that can push more energy into their facade to make it stronger at a critical moment. With Groudon, Kyogre, Palkia, Dialga, and Giratina we actively see them do this with Primal Reversion/Origin Forms. The Thundurus, Tornadus, Landrus, Enamorus set too, with their Therian forms. Arceus is confirmed to be such, so why not his strongest creations?
I imagine it's shorter now as it's not as powerful as it's primal form. More power=bigger typically in the pokemon world!
dang those are some big bois
Took mr too long to realize he was using shinies lmao
Ceux qui décident des tailles des Pokémons font vraiment de la merde. À part pour certaines exceptions, tous les Pokémon paraissent trop petit ou trop grand
I was expecting Kyogre to be huge, but holy sh!t
In anime and movies groudon kyogre and ryquaza are titan sized really massive here even normal pokemon will out size it
Today I learned im as tall as a Regice
I did not realize we had that many legendaries till now, damn
Canon size is funky. You would expect Latios and latias to be the same size, Zapdos, Articuno, and someone like Kyurem to be bigger while someone like Xerneas to be a bit smaller but nah.
Been out of the loop since gen 4 and when I saw gigantamax regigas in battle I was like Noooo way the games are now going by the cannon sizes? Then I searched up a bunch of waillord battles and got disappointed. I think having a sprite so big that it forces the camera angle to change would make pokemon seem so much cooler.
Wow. There are so many I did not know existed. Like most of them I didn't know existed.
phione being taller than manaphy killed me
