I had an R9T 2018 absolutely loved the looks, the torque, the sound, the character, the drive shaft, the ergos but suspensions were quite budget and not really offroad capable and the oil consumption was absolutely ridiculous (1L+ per 10000km) and dealer told me anything under 4L/10000km is considered acceptable.
yea indeed the suspension is cheap. Actually most of the bike's components are. It's just very well hidden :D
BMW has a specification of how much oil the boxer is allowed to use. It's completely normal for them to burn oil. If you have one that doesnt burn oil, I'd be concerned! I have 2 of them, a R1100S and R1200RT. They are rugged, and last forever. Burning oil is another of their character that gives it soul. Haha. Love em.

The color scheme from 2017 ist still available (minor changes, yes, but)… This is just the Edition 40 Years GS
It's the 1990s color scheme. Same year as they went from 800cc to 1000cc. It's the 30 year edition.

How’s the low and mid range torque of this bike say compared to an mt09 or z900?
And do you miss the tachometer or find that riding is intuitive and it’s not really missed?

compared to the Z900 it has quite a bit more but to the MT-09 I'm not sure. The missing rev counter doesn't matter really

Loving your videos! Thanks so much! I’m looking for an R NineT (regular) myself. I read the 2021 / Euro5 spec’s sound is less (volume as well as quality) and have heard the difference in person BUT with differing exhausts. Do you have any advise? Should I go for the pre 2021 or for the newest with the added rear shock quality+tech and a good exhaust? Thanks again!!
I enjoyed both the euro4 and 5 models equally so I'd get the one with the better price

The nice thing about this engine is it doesn't really care what gear it's in. It'll scoot.
Die Rninet war das erste Bike, auf dem ich ständig das Gefühl hatte, mich festhalten zu müssen…woran könnte das liegen? Kannst Du das in irgendeiner Weise nachvollziehen, gerade im Vergleich zu anderen BMWs?
