    Thanks for a clear concise non BS review, starting to love that bike myself.

    Awesome stuff LB, is a cracking bike, I was very tempted by the R9T when it first came out to replace my V7.... but it never happened.
    screens always cause wind noise I've found, is why I love naked bikes so much.
    Hope the trip is continuing to be splendid and you are having some good giggles? Was brill to finally meet you over at the ABR 🙂

      Luckily mine have lower screen. The bike is great indeed and with every mile I enjoy it even more. And yes, it was brilliant to finally meet you in person

    Love the bike in the Unit Garage trim. I'm thinking of getting a scrambler and converting it to look like this one. I need the little lower seat

    Really liking the BMW white and M power colors on this one, and I agree, a fun bike to twist the throttle on, just right amount of pull!😃👌
    One other great thing with it is if you like to take some dirt roads to a location, and no more dirty chain to clean.😁
    Looking forward to see and hear what you will try more, and what bike you will go for in the end!👍

      front mini fairing and fender from Unit garage, side number, rear enduro fender - same. Seat from unit as well. The rest I believe is stock

    I'd totally buy that bike just because of the way it looks. Even for a first bike (beginner). It may not be the best but that would be perfect for just cruising short distances on early Sunday mornings.

    how many years have you had the W for? I think you should try a few Guzzis before settling on the bmw, more old school, more character is my personal opinion.

    • @UncleLongbeard
      @UncleLongbeard  2 роки тому +1

      I started fifth year with the W. Not that long really but as much as I love that bike, I love plenty other bikes as well ;) And want to ride them all ;) Talking about the MG or BM or other bikes - I have enough of old school character in my garage still, so I'm more into something that is a bit less old school actually ;) We'll see

      @@UncleLongbeard I cant picture you on anything more modern than the r nine t. it would be very strange. W800 is missing something after a while, grunt, character? something on top of the beauty. I got a big block guzzi after my w, one of the last ones from early 2000s, modern enough with twice the power of the w while still feeling retro, still feels like a real motorcycle. Maybe an indian? the scout? liquid cooled though... Good luck, cant wait to see what you settle on.

    • @UncleLongbeard
      @UncleLongbeard  2 роки тому

      I think that r9t is the most modern bike I can get ;) W800 is still a great bike but indeed miss a bit of angry character. It is too good and smooth basically but I also need a change as there is loads of bike I would like to have in this world ;)

    Looks like you are smitten with the BMW. They sound lovely, similar to W800. Would you change the exhausts or was it loud enough for you?

    "pensioners' bike"? I'm 69 (and a "pensioner") and ride a 999S, ZX9R, Aprilia Tuono Factory, Husky 701 Supermoto, Bultaco 370 Pursang, Husky 701 Enduro, Husky TE250i, etc., etc....you get the point...but what was yours? BTW, I'm looking to add one of these Urban GS's to the stable as a fun backroader. Interesting review, but watch those assumptions!

    • @UncleLongbeard
      @UncleLongbeard  2 роки тому

      hahaha, what I meant is mental "pensioners" if you know what I mean. Age has nothing to do with that. When you start saying that you can only ride comfortable machines - then you are the real pensioner ;) No matter if you are 35 or 95 ;)
