Why all the dissing of him? Chicago fans need to realize the members have changed and moved on! Just enjoy listening to their songs and Lou’s a great musician!
I saw him perform a couple times...and clearly....the guy has the chops to play and sing anywhere. His heart is in it, too. No feigned stuff. I admire his talent.....
One of the greatest keyboard/vocal voices of Chicago from 2009-2022……Lou Pardini I remember when we were at one of the shows of the band alongside EWF, Doobies, & REO Speedwagon in LA & Irvine…….that was a blast that this great voice of him has powerful music of Chicago songs in a row…….like Dialogue, Ballet For A Girl In Buchannon, Hard Habit to Break, You’re The Inspiration, I’m A Man, Hard To Say I’m Sorry /Get Away, Free…… That was the last I saw Lou was @ Irvine Fivepoint Amphitheatre when REO Speedwagon w/ Michael Tolcher before him and Keith left the band in 2021 and 2022 previously……..as Tony Obrohta & Loren Gold replaced them
Its hard to replacing a band member especially a great talent like Bill. Remember when Jason replace Peter. But now, Lou is a perfect guy. Cant wait some new Chicago music with Lou. Keep up !
Great job Louie !!! I will always remember 1971 and 72.You in the practice rooms at Fresno City College giving those old pianos a workout. You were also such a wonderful musician and person.I am proud of you and all of your accomplishments.
Sad day today, hearing that Lou Pardini is leaving the band. He was one of my favorites. Amazing voice, passion, and sensitivity. I loved what he brought to the band. He will be missed. Won't be the same without him at the March concert that we have tickets for.
He has an amazing voice. But his shirt reminds me of those optical illusion puzzle things I did when I was a kid--actually, back around the time this came out ('88). ;)
robertbdesmond absolutely he’s done a lot in recent years: check out his latest music - CWF 1 and CWF 2 plus Bleeding Secrets. All new stuff and you’re gonna love it. Checkout Bill & Tamara Champlin Fan Group on Facebook.
Hello Chicago I'm wearing your hat 50 hoping to get well to see you this summer with my 2 aWESOME sisters who took me last year in MH. Miss you all tAke care n have fun love Dave Moe Moon
The band Europe was first offered this hit song that Diane Warren wrote but Joey Tempest refused to use it. After Ron Nevison had finished the album with Europe, he went on to produce Chicago and brought the song with him to Bill Champlin. Case closed.
Derrick Whitt said, "Sorry but Bill Champlin had the voice and soul to sing this. On top of it all and most importantly...no Peter Cetera. Nothing against Jason Scheff or Jeff Coffey, but Chicago can't replace Peter's voice regardless as to what the band gets to sing songs Peter can still belt out.
I will always associate this song with Bill Champlin. Even if sometimes he looked constipated while singing this, he's still the best. Sorry, Lou. But when Champlin and Scheff left the band, I couldn't listen to Chicago songs anymore. They were the members in my generation.
Totally agree but still luv Robert Lamm. In what way did they treat Dawayne Bailey bad? I have got all Bills and Robert solo albums and will get Jason's new album
Same here. When Peter left, it was tough to take. Jeff was capable, even though no where near as good and consistent live as the legendary PC. Once Jeff and Bill went, that was a bridge too far and I stopped following Chicago.
@@Gem0674 I will have to join as I am not on Facebook. I'm a massive Bill Champlin fan and have all his solo albums and all Chicago albums as well. Thanks for letting me know Mary
@@asheard23 technically dianne warren didn't a 14 yr old brendan from the u.k won a emi contest with this song, because he lived in the u.k he never heard it until a few years ago when he got a 2 month apple music trial, he came across it and thought to himself this sounds familar, he has a video on youtube showing the similarites to the one he wrote
there's no sense in comparing bill champlin with lou pardini. both are amazing vocalists in their own rights and have totally different techniques. so i'mma register my dissent respectfully.
Bill sound like much Rock/AOR , Lou sound like much Ballad romantic Just no like of the end, with horns, sound bad, but... Eletric guitar sound much better in the end
I love Lou Pardini and think he's incredibly talented. It's just my opinion of course but I think he would do well with an eyelid lift. He's cute as he can be but I would like to see his eyes opened more.
Chicago is distancing itself from the 80’s and the great members who carried them through their most successful decade. They have not had any impact in music since the 80’s. This is like watching a cover band. Great musicians but not Chicago.
He does a adequate job but JUST SING THE SONG THE WAY IT WAS WRITTEN!! ALL OF THE MARIAH CAREY RUNS WERE NOT NEEDED...HE LOSSESTHE MELODY A COUPLE TIMES TOO..
If they degrade any more they'll be able to play proms. Cetera, Scheff, Champlin... once those names stopped as far as Chicago was concerned, so did I.
Shows u how much u know about music. Maybe Champlin 20 years ago, def not now. He's a stiff now. Pardini is waaaaayyyyyyy better at this point in time.
Why all the dissing of him? Chicago fans need to realize the members have changed and moved on! Just enjoy listening to their songs and Lou’s a great musician!
Mary Kelley-Vaughn IKR why all the hate I agree people should just listen and enjoy the music
As far as I'm concerned he is the best since Terry Kath. I just saw them 4 months ago .
Yup enjoy the music and each rendition brings something new, fun and incredible.
You misunderstood thy shout his name Lou.... Not dissing him.. Lou has a great voice we always miss him great job Lou
I saw him perform a couple times...and clearly....the guy has the chops to play and sing anywhere. His heart is in it, too. No feigned stuff. I admire his talent.....
I like the fact that James Pankow has written a horn arrangement into this tune. It's made it a true "Chicago" song.
Pankow is an awesome horn composer and has written some good hits!

Wow, just wow! Awesome!
Lou Pardini was fabulous in concert. Just glad they are still giving us the concerts. I like Champlin as well.

Love this man!
Omg I love Lou’s voice so amazing idc what other feel think and say. Just listen and enjoy the music. He is a wonderful musician talented musician.

What a beautiful song. It reminds me how difficult to understand Love can be. Lou Pardini has a strong voice here and is perfect for this song.
I love this song
Very nice voice and awesome song 👍😀😀
I like his version he can hit the high notes of the song.
Pardini is a great singer.
One of the best in the industry👍
LOVEING LOUS VOICE JUST FABULOUS PERFORMERS OMG
off the charts performance 👌🏻

I grew up on Chicago..Lou does a great tribute and is a wonderful musician. I knew him in LA
This guy is good and Uber talented!
Amazing performance by Lou Pardini ❤️👍
Go, Lou, you are great!
The cutest and best looking in the group....
The best looking and most talented is Robert Lamm!

Loren Gold is now the official replacement
Bill Champlin version blew this away.
Although I love Bill Champlin, Pardini still sings almost/just as good as him! Can't wait to see them live in July
Insane. Amazing.
The piano intro is haunting..

daming mong hanash.. baklang to...
Joshua Echt his voice is amazing
Lou is great. But Bill Champlin is MISSED by us Chicago fans. Bill is such a hard habit to break.

The Bill Champlin - Dawayne Bailey era was the best post-Terry Kath era IMHO. They brought a fresh energy to the band.
Lou Is Great At This 🎵 Song!!
4:53 nice
Nothing far as yesterday ; how we miss the original team band
With a guy of his looks.. who needs voice??? He is luckier than lucky bcoz he can even sing...and his piano skill is heavenly..
Hairam Krisse Ogdan IKR he is amazing on piano
Great Job !

Wow this is great! So glad they didn’t kick this song to the curb cuz of their hatred of Champlin, they built on it!
But I like that Lou isn't over-singing, unlike Bill Champlin.
"Strangling a goose" is how someone described Champlin's singing on another Chicago video.
Derrick Whitt said, "Sorry but Bill Champlin had the voice and soul to sing this. On top of it all and most importantly...no Peter Cetera. Nothing against Jason Scheff or Jeff Coffey, but Chicago can't replace Peter's voice regardless as to what the band gets to sing songs Peter can still belt out.
nicely done
Voice and looks...I love this guy...I watch this video before I sleep because it is him and not champlin
Chicago Rock like Montreal!
Fucking awesome!!!!!!!
Chicago is one of my favorite all time bands but they’re essentially a cover band at this point.
Hoping for a video of him singing what might have been...😔
Solid.
Many "Chicago" fans think that there is no difference between Classic Coke and New Coke. Enough said.
There is as big a difference as there was in those two colas.
Bill Champlin nails this song so I prefer Bill over Lou...but the biggest element missing in Chicago is Peter Cetera.
Do I hear boos here?
keelanp53 That would be the fans yelling Loooo, as in Lou Pardini.
Respect Lou...but......he aint Bill Champlin.....
Jeff is singing a bit high for me, but damn I miss Lou

Bill Champlin is still the man tho
Good version but miss original singer Bill Chamlain
The only thing good about this song is it doesn't have any horns, so you don't have to see James Pankow prance around the stage.
Until the end...
It good ! But it’s just not bill Chaplin!!! Not even close!! Sorry 😐
Bass Man 64 This song is just so identifiable with Bill. It’s weird coming from another singer
The Bill Champlin - Dawayne Bailey era was the best post-Terry Kath era IMHO. They brought a fresh energy to the band.
Nice, but still prefer when Bill sings it.
I love this guy! So better than Champlin!
keelanp53 you have no idea what you’re talking about and you don’t have an ear for soul or good music. The present Chicago is a joke! #CoverBand
