Testimony! I was working somewhere where part of the organization supported the LGBTQ community. Not only did company involvement increased, I was specifically assigned to manage it...of course. I knew I wouldn't be able to stay, but respectfully did not speak against the community. I met a few who were genuinely kind and had broken pasts that opened door to that lifestyle. But I knew I couldn't stay and started simply asking questions about certain things. In the Spirit I could tell things were changing against me from key staff. It got really difficult emotionally because I was accused of things and questioned when I stood my ground. For me, I didn't need to quit because I was advised wisely to have them let me go. And their reason for finally letting me go became a simple statement despite the malicious things done against me. They couldn't admit those things because I carefully documented everything I had done with integrity. So my getting fired was stated as a simple "willful dismissal" where I still qualified for benefits. I was making good money so it was initially scary. But since then, God has allowed me to start my own business and contract with organizations I believe in! I don't make more money, but I make my own hours, can focus better on family, and I am doing what I love!

The answer to the "LGBT" question was extremely simplistic, That's the answer I received many years ago from a GC pastor when I sent them a letter asking what are they doing to prevent homosexuals from coming into our churches. Long behold, I started to see videos of American churches for the most, granting leadership to homosexuals. God only knows what else is happening in other Churches

Homosexuals should be welcomed into the church, made to feel like they are welcome and accepted. Jesus may then begin working on their hearts (just like He does for everyone). Jesus died for them just as much as He died for everyone else. He can help them overcome as well. We can't shun people just because they sin differently than we do. Alot of them are hurting badly and need to be shown the love of Jesus through His people.

I agree. We are all sinners. But to openly sin in their life to others be it adultery, drugs, raping children, or whatever it be. I don’t think we can have them being in positions for offices in the church. Love them invite them. But don’t show it’s not a problem to do so.

@@chadandrew2935 Yes, I agree. Just like a position shouldn't be given to someone say openly stealing all the time or getting drunk every day. But something to think about is that the people that do have positions aren't sinless just because we can't see what they struggle with. It's important that they live in a way that honors Jesus if they do have a position, but we can't put them on a pedestal either. We are all in this struggle together. 😊

I took a criminal law class many years ago. The attorney teaching the class was a defense attorney that has represented murderers, rapists, and other criminals. He said "Nowadays 99% of clients are guilty. The police do a great job finding the right person. The job of the defense attorney is to make sure the police follow the letter of the law and protect their rights. The defense attorney will try everything they can to cast doubt that this person committed the crime."
I don't think it's a job requisite that they lie for their client. I'm sure some do. But I could see why it would be a difficult job for a Christian. It's such a slippery slope.

"Haven’t you read,” Jesus replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’ So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”
    Matthew 19:4-6
I have taught my children this passage to memory as it speaks of God ordained concept marriage and the fact there are only two genders or sexes. Those saying gender is a continuum are speaking of unspiritual human earthly wisdom, of the evil one. It’s that simple. God made marriage between a man and a women to bring children into the world - to be fruitful and multiply. Man is corrupting God’s design for a family unit and it’s a direct rebellion and affront to the Creator when someone does not accept who God made them.

To be honest people are so scared to say things that God has said nowadays.
If the scriptures were preached twisted because the Apostles were scared of people so they preached anyhow to suit their own personal pleasures, we wouldn’t be saved.
People try to twist scriptures and make it so comfortable to fit into people lifestyle.
At this point, how greatly have we disappointed those who want to hear the truth of our Lord Jesus Christ to be saved.
Look, The fact that you didn’t write the Word of God, you should say everything exactly as it is.
It is written: the scriptures are nobody’s words but God’s words.
Preachers need to understand that when it comes to the Scriptures, you have every right to say it exactly as God said without fear.
The Scriptures are Pure and Truthful. Who doesn’t like truth? Except those bound to be lost.
May the Lord Jesus Christ save every heart who is looking for the truth to be saved. Amen!

God hates the sin but he still loves the sinner. It’s up to us to allow God to work on us and change us, and if you listen to the pastor carefully, he said the LGTB should allow God to work on him/her/them( LGTB). Mathew 9:9-13, 12:7 (let’s not condemn the person but the act/sin. We’re all sinners and God has given us all a fair chance. His arms are open and stretched out to anyone who repents, he will never turn away anyone who repents. There is joy in heaven when a soul is saved) God is not biased. It upsets me when Christians treat them horribly, telling them God hates them for their sins, trying to scare them with stories of how God will punish them in horrible ways. Jesus died for them just like he died for everyone else. All of us sin just in a different way. How is treating them so unkindly going to inspire them to want a true relationship with Jesus? It is for Jesus to work in their lives, just like He will work in ours. We all have struggles we need to overcome.

Concerning your answer about Deuteronomy 14:26, you overlooked the fact that Num. 28:7 says strong wine is to be poured unto the Lord for a drink offering. This passage in Deuteronomy is about traveling with your offerings to the temple. Also the strong wine may also refer to boiled down, concentrated grape juice that would be less weighty for travel, and which could later be reconstituted by adding water. Also Lev. 10:9 says prohibits entering the temple if you’ve drank wine or strong drink.

The dietary rules were never intended to apply to anyone other than the Israelites. The purpose of the food laws was to make the Israelites distinct from all other nations. After this purpose had ended, Jesus declared all foods clean (Mark 7:19). Later, God gave the apostle Peter a vision that implied formerly unclean animals could be eaten: “Do not call anything impure that God has made clean” (Acts 10:15). When Jesus died on the cross, He fulfilled the Old Testament law (Romans 10:4; Galatians 3:24-26; Ephesians 2:15). This includes the laws regarding clean and unclean foods.

@@elizabethmonroe5791 In place of the Old Testament law, Christians are under the law of Christ (Galatians 6:2), which is to “love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind…and to love your neighbor as yourself” (Matthew 22:37-39). If we obey those two commands, we will be fulfilling all that Christ requires of us: “All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments” (Matthew 22:40).
The purpose of the Old Testament law is to convict people of our inability to keep the law and point us to our need for Jesus Christ as Savior (Romans 7:7-9; Galatians 3:24). The Old Testament law was never intended by God to be the universal law for all people for all of time. We are to love God and love our neighbors. If we obey those two commands faithfully, we will be upholding all that God requires of us.

@@elizabethmonroe5791 Christ fulfilled the Law on our behalf and offers the power of the Holy Spirit, who motivates a regenerated heart to live in obedience to Him (Matthew 3:8; Acts 1:8; 1 Thessalonians 1:5; 2 Timothy 1:14). James 2:26 says, “As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.” A grace that has the power to save also has the power to motivate a sinful heart toward godliness. Where there is no impulse to be godly, there is no saving faith.
We are saved by grace, through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9). The keeping of the Law cannot save anyone (Romans 3:20; Titus 3:5). In fact, those who claim righteousness on the basis of their keeping of the Law only think they’re keeping the Law; this was one of Jesus’ main points in the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5:20-48; see also Luke 18:18-23).
The purpose of the Law was, basically, to bring us to Christ (Galatians 3:24). Once we are saved, God desires to glorify Himself through our good works (Matthew 5:16; Ephesians 2:10). Therefore, good works follow salvation; they do not precede it.

@@annewood8673 The purpose of the law is to convict people of their heart issue. Its not that we are unable to keep the law, but that we don't want to keep Gods laws. The unsaved man is unable to and desires to not keep His laws but The Spirit within the one who is saved has caused a change of heart for which makes a way so that he or she wants to keep the law. In Jeremiah God states He will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with Judah. He will place His laws within us and write them on our hearts that we may want to do them. The original (church) was built upon the apostles and the prophets with Jesus as the chief cornerstone. The original church kept the commandments and taught others to do so. Jesus even said if you want to see life then keep the commandments. John said: For this is the Love of God, that you keep the commandments and they are not burdensome. In order to walk in todays Christianity one must throw out 95% of what Jesus said. If Jesus, Paul or even John were to walk into one of the churches today they would not recognize what they built. And if either one were to preach in one of them they would probably be thrown out. Christ was the end of the man made laws and traditions. Not Gods laws. Jesus even said so. Paul even said it is not the hearers of the law who will be justified in Gods sight but it will be the doers of the law who will be justified. Remember Peter gives a very grave warning about Paul being misunderstood. He says not to be lead away by lawless men. People need to know their bibles and they must have Gods Spirit to understand.

No. All mankind came from Adam and Eve. She was the mother of all living humans. In terms of law, there was no law given until Moses came. Adam and his offspring lived hundreds and hundreds of years. Many offspring of siblings didn’t even know each other and their genetic pool was still uncontaminated and pure. Adam and Eve had perfect DNA that became polluted and weakened through many generations of offspring. Different races emerged over time as people migrated all over the planet and their genetics adjusted to climate and geography over thousands of years. Read the Book of Revelation where people
from every tongue, tribe and nation stand before God and worship God.

What about the Male and Female created on the sixth day? Adam wasn't formed until after the seventh day. Isn't it likely that the many different races came from those sixth day creations? We know by science, that we can't have all came from two people of the same race.

    • @itiswritten
      @itiswritten  Місяць тому

Great question, Erin. Genesis 1:26-27 generalizes God's creation of human beings. The account recorded in Genesis 2 recaps what happened in Genesis 1 and provides greater detail. This literary style, referred to frequently as 'Repeat and Enlarge,' is a common one throughout the Bible.
Genesis 1: God created human beings and made them male and female.
Genesis 2: He made Adam (the man) out of the dust of the ground, breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and he became a living being. God then caused a deep sleep to come over Adam, and He took a rib from Adam's side and made Eve. The events of this account also occurred on the sixth day.
All of the genetic material that produced the many "races" we have today was present in Adam and Eve. Eventually, as people spread out from the area around the Garden of Eden (think of experiences like the Tower of Babel), they formed into different people groups in different geographical locations. Some genetic traits became more prominent as they procreated within those various people groups. One of the great uniting elements of the Bible is that we all came from one common pair of ancestors. An understanding of this can help do away with much of the racial and ethnic division that exists in the world today.
While science is undoubtedly a blessing, remember that scientists used to believe that the sun revolved around the earth. So, the things we "know" from science are helpful, but they have a history of changing over time.

So the question "Were there other people outside of Eden?" doesn't make sense. ALL the people were outside the garden of Eden. And all of them came from Eve (Genesis 3:20). Some of her offspring obviously had to have been females although not mentioned by name. He created THEM, male and female.

That is correct. You have made an excellent observation.
It is likely that the person who asked the question was wondering if there were other people whose existence originated from somewhere outside the Garden of Eden. In other words, from parents other than Adam and Eve. But in any case, your observations are correct. By the time Cain and Abel arrived, everyone was outside the Garden of Eden.

Thank you for this study. I think I heard you say at about 6:23 that the cause of men's abdication from their duty to care for their offspring and the women who bore them was that it became easier for women to have children outside of marriage. And as it became easier men abdicated their responsibilities more and more. This sounds like women are being blamed for men's behavior and once again, men are being excused.
While I recognize that women are vastly responsible to encourage godly behavior in dress, speech, demeanor and behavior, it is such a discouraging thing for women to hear this repeatedly while men - who are supposed to be the priesthood and leader, and closer to Christ in a sense - are excused and women are told its our fault. I do not believe this is godly. Scripture does show numerous instances of the woman's behavior leading men, and often herself, to doom, I do not even begin to deny that. But to say that women and their children being abandoned by their men is only due to their behavior is historically and practically inaccurate. History shows that men had a long practice of abandoning women and their children - for numerous reasons not approved by God, and then women were left to starve or turn to ungodly methods of self sustanence. One of the strongest catalysts of the unfortunate women-to-work movement was so they could support themselves after marital abandonment, and that abandonment was not about the wife's adultery but more often, the husband's. "Husbands love your wives," Matthew 5:31-32, Mark 10:5 deal with how readily men threw their wives away for convenience. If we would be honest and truly admonishing all on this subject, call the men out too, for the repentence of their sins.

I don't think he was saying it is women's fault at all but because men left the responsibilities to women alone to deal with that is where things begin to break down. Children need the influence of a mother and a father that balance eachother's strengths and weaknessses. Men are to be the spiritual leader of the family and when they're not, the family suffers because of it.

The Bible also says in the new heaven and new earth we are all going to be like angels, no marriage no procreating. I don't think it means females are now going to become HE. So it's quite possible there are feminine angels.
    Seraphim's sounds kinda feminine 😊.

The elders are afraid to point out sins of being gay and lesbian from the bible as God as has obvious put them. So whats the point of answering certain questions and avoiding others? Indeed you must tread softly but be true and rebuke sin.
