It works really good using Proton, you just can't apply your license if you have purchased it. If you are just using the trial, though, it runs great. They are working on a linux version, it is just not done yet.
Extremely realistic, so this might better be used in a film production rather than in game development because honestly speaking, both Unity and Unreal can achieve a certain level of realistic VFX with direct native support to the game. Also, both of those engines, especially Unreal, are starting to be used in film production also! It's hard to imagine how stand-alone apps like this can compete with game engines actually. ---- I've used Unity to make: - Games - Simple VFXs in my video - Interactive presentation in school - Video editing
Not directly linked to Embergen, but what would you use to make node graph UI (langage, API, etc.) ? I've been wanting to make a few tools for a game dev project and that would be very useful (something like Blender or Maya node UI).
realtime is not synonymous with 60 fps. The point is that it’s interactive, with playback that doesn’t require lots of pre-processing to see the final result. For a game running 60 fps, you’d still want to pre-render the simulation and play it back as a flipbook on particle quads, but the process to generating that flipbook would have very fast feedback for quick iteration and rendering, compared to conventional simulation tools
I gave you a thumbs up, but I wish you wouldn't cover anything with a payment plan..I understand it still works after the year..but that's for now...we can't keep supporting this garbage business model.

Props to this man for always delivering 30 minutes of dialogue within 15 minutes.
Tempted about using the trial to get the hang of it and let my laptop rendering as many sequences as it can handle. My future me would be grateful.

Please explain to me how to create some fire in unreal without any texture created in another software
Janga also acquired GTV (Game Texture Viewer) from Overscore and made it free.
I far prefer it when you talk about open source stuff, particularly stuff that works on Linux

Probably ImGUI - ua-cam.com/video/Du--cH01ZWI/v-deo.html
or Neosis - gamefromscratch.com/noesisgui-hands-on-with-the-game-user-interface-framework/
I will stick with Unreal's Niagra
Can that export to Blender?
why my line force dont have chaos
😲😲
isn't UE5s niagara better than this? and it's free
It is not as detailed as this, because it is realtime.
Another point is that Niagara is GPU based, so it is faster. This one is CPU based I think, because it uses Odin language to compute.
@@damaomiX EmberGen is GPU based
It doesn’t look 60fps real-time to me, why does the fire and smoke always look like it’s running in slow motion?

I was super interested until I saw it's a damned subscription service.
It's not subscription though, its subscription support, its a perpetual license.
@@gamefromscratch You are correct. I appologise for the spreading of miss information.
Amber Heard Gens? No Thanks! :D
sry, for this very bad joke :)
It was no worse than the joke that is Amber herself. ;-)
