The front end looks like the Lexus GX and the rest of the car looks like the Defender. Whether that's good or bad is up to the beholder. At least it gets the best fuel economy and pricing is great.
There are car reviewing Russian youtubers based in Shenzhen, one them actually bought one and took it to the mountains of Sichuan as well as climbed a couple of muddy hills in Guangdong and I got to say that this car showed some very nice off-road capabilities.
Hybrids are for the rest of those countries, which is almost everywhere except Mainland China, that lack charging station infrastructure, just bought a BYD Sealion 6 in a city that only has 4 charging stations, in between cities, the lack of charging infrastructure make a full EV unmanageable.
Love that it has heated and cooled seats a big problem of Chinese cars is that they don't always cater to colder climates well, as a parallel import it's been well received in Russia and will soon be coming in officially.
unbelievably nice from an unknown company. Plastic grill in the front is too rugged, it could use a bit of shine by matching car paint color at the horizontal bar with the logo. Devoid of chrome and piano black, amazing!!👏
Elliot if you are going to show us the kitchen get it out properly please, like set the table up, i think it had legs! I think there was some sort of hole for sink there, what about the light get it out will it stick to stuff, where was the tap? I presume it folded out. What was in the bags? show us dont just tell us.
nice video Elliot, what are insurance prices for EV's like in China? It's becoming a hot topic over in the UK. Only yesterday on the Tesla UK FB group some guy with a 2 year old MY had a busted wing mirror and damaged door but the insurance company wrote it off!
Seems to be a growing large puddle under the vehicle of fluid dripping from the front engine area, seen it multiple angles, not good and the fact it is a hybrid just more to go wrong, sorry.
Lol, every car that has AC will grow a large puddle under it if the AC is turning on. Even if it's a Rolls Royce. Never have a car that has air conditioning before?
@@electricelliotrichards Owning two generations of Leaf I had also looked at a hybrid with the range I needed for every day EV use, the Prius came to mind but seeing that I could buy two new Leaf's for the cost of one Prius my Spidey Senses kicked in and told me "ARE YOU STUPID? So me and my 2018 Leaf continue on trouble free but a bit boring until I see all the Cookie Cutter Boxes on Wheels SUV's and my Leaf starts looking better all the time, Solid, Reliable and a great value....oh well, whew, glad I figured that out ! My wish list is an EV with TWO DOORS but must get 5.5 miles per kwh (what the Leaf gets).
Generally yes but I think we need an exception for proper off road 4WDs for a while. One reason why Range Rover is struggling to develop their EV is weight. Of you pass a certain weight you need a special licence.

Would be useful to know what the capacity is of the fuel tank to know how efficient (and costly) that motor is when charging the batteries.
