Turned out amazing Russ really did I can really appreciate the work and attention to detail you have put into this build I'm lottery stuck for words excellent 👍👍 I honestly don't think I could do a model ship or plane with the details u guys all put into them well done 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Came out great , Russell. Nice job. There's a product called E Z Line. They have a website. It's specifically made for rigging. They have many colors and sizes. It has stretch like a rubberband. Good stuff. Goes on with CA glue.👍
This was actually the Revell l USS Missouri kit as she appeared in 1945. Atlantis just remarketed it and changed decals to make it all four of the Iowa class battleships. The problem with the kit is that when revell first released this kid it was motorized and to be played with in a pool or a bathtub. Later pressings they removed the electric motor and the large propeller that ran it. Hence is also why the model kit is very toy like. The catapults cranes and aircraft on the stern are actually oversized for this model kit but then again it was not originally intended to be an exact model of the USS Missouri but more something for kids to play with. Since the closing of Revell USA Atlantis bought up a lot of their old mold kits and started reproducing them. Some of the kits retain the original decals that allowed you to build sister ships others they just made new decals to make them sister ships. Just a bit of history of this particular model kit.
The USS Wisconsin looks as good as the day she was commisioned. BTW, I watched your video on my phone but the sound was on my Bose surround sound in the car (Bluetooth) and the intro music is awesome! Great job on the weathering.
Awesome job! Yeah Non of the four Iowa class ships today are in their original configuration, it doesn't have any of the 40mm Anti-aircraft guns either, having Javelin Missile launcher pods instead.
This came out great, i like the work you've done. Now that it's finished looks pretty impressive,i may have to try to build a ship as well. Thanks for sharing.
Im working on this kit right now as well.I painted the deck grey not really accurate but i wanted it to match the box art work. Also i wanted it to look a bit different from the Missouri im going to do a bit later on.I think the quality of this kit is a bit better than the Revell Missouri. The Revell kit the plastic is not quite as thick as this kit and some of the AA guns had short shots. Also the rudder is better on the Atlantis kit.The Revell kit really is piece of crap to be honest.I bought a new Revell Missouri kit from Hobby Lobby about a month ago and i really just wanted to take it back the quality was so bad.Flash and short shots galore.Im going to buy a vintage kit on eBay from the 70s the quality is much better back then.
that is cool you are working on the same kit. the box art is what the ship looks like now cause the deck is covered in a asphalt like surface so yours is accurate to the time. that sucks that the revell kit you got is that bad of shape the mold it probably in desperate need of repair. Thanks for watching good luck with your kit.

Thanks Charlie, I just checked them out and that looks like some great rigging and the way it stays after stretching. Thanks for watching.

Lol thanks I bet it was cool in the car. when i am working on the videos and it plays it shakes my desk if i don't turn it down. thanks for watching.
@@RussellModelCars, I played your intro three times! It was pretty cool! BTW, autocorrect sucks. That was Bose not Nose surround sound.
