Such a good vid I don't know where to start, that bluefin footage was hands down the most hectic I've ever seen! Dunno how you stayed so calm bro, I'd have been jumping around screaming my head off.
The striped red fish looked so sick and how crazy were the teeth, imagine one of those at 20kg haha.
The flats marlin was angry as, looked like its beak was half as long as its body too!
That flute/trumpet fish thingo was nuts, can't wait til next vid, the one at the end was wayyy bigger.

That bluefin was sick! And those cod look amazing, very similar to the Spotted Sand Bass we have here on the southern west coast.

Invasive in the ocean ?
Yea they were introduced here in the 50s and since there was no natural predators . They started to take over the reef. The toau is probably the least bad out of the 3 fish that was brought here in the 50s
Kind of cool, seeing everything as a familiar species from Hawaii.

2 Roi(very different color scheme but same looking fish.
I know it’s all Pacific Ocean, but it’s still pretty cool to be able to fully recognize those species. Wonder if they taste as good from there.

Cavy, those fish were so crazy! I cannot imagine swimming in that now knowing that those crazy fish with the long snappy beaks are in there, as well as those eels, lol. I had to laugh at the fish you release at 12;30. It's hiding it's face in the rocks reminds me of playing hide and seek with a 2 year old. They figure if they hide their eyes from you, you can't see them. Loving these Japan videos. I cannot believe the footage you are (were?) getting! Yes it's actually soooooo spooky here in the water! The eels look freaky under the water and the sea snakes are BIG!!!! Not to mention those toothy fish are everywhere hahaha. There is so many more cool fish I couldn't catch this time but next time!!! BTW the vids are not finished, you wait and see what I catch next!!

Are you still in Japan? How long is/was your trip there? I can do without the sea snakes. I watched show on UA-cam today called Robson Green: Extreme Fishing in Okinawa. It showed these little old Japanese ladies catching the black banded sea snakes (very venomous apparently) and what they do with them. It was a good show, so look it up if you are wanting something to watch in your down time. I'm kind of hooked on it (no pun intended, lol) as it's a series where he fishes in many different countries, etc.
Those garfish die rather quickly... Always best to release them quickly... Nice video guys, I always enjoy watching them... 😊👍🌴

Literally is the best aquarium here man. Ive since left and yep was defiantly hard but will go back for sure, many places I never got to fish that looked incredible. I've got a tip if you want to target parrotfish. They're pretty hard to get on lures and shit but even using a little bit of seaweed or small crustaceans works pretty good from my experience.
