For everyone who doesn't know, the aesthetics of this game and several easter eggs are inspired by polish artist zdzisław beksiński, who is one of my favorite artists as well. He grew up in war-time poland, his son's name was Thomas, and his wife was Zophia. His paintings are INCREDIBLE imo. The makers of this game clearly liked him quite a bit, and it's what drew me to the game in the first place.
I think the monster looks like that because it’s a mixture of all the people’s souls its eaten. It kept talking about outgrowing it’s “skins”. That’s why you see it in a nurse outfit (Ursula), walking like a ballerina (Vivienne) etc...
@@arianamichelov holy shit you're totally right, it has the wings from Lily's butterfly obsession, the nurse hat from Ursula, and I always wondered why it was tip-toeing around but now it makes sense that it was walking like a ballerina because of Tori (Vivienne). You kinda just blew my mind.
Duuuuude when Marianne is pushing Sadmess on the swing and she jumps off, Sadness actually takes off her mask!! It’s hard to tell because it looks like just the side of her face but it’s in her hand!! As soon as I seen that I knew there was something sus about her
Henry's monster mimics a predator. Similar to a Lion or a Bobcat. It stalks around waiting for an opening, swipes at her to see if she's paying attention or not. Which is why when she drops to her knees, it rushes in from behind. It just also used the time to talk. I think that's why I like the terror from that monster, it was something primal. Like walking a trail and running into a bobcat.

This game is sooo good. I'm from Poland and I'm proud that we can make such great games like the witcher, dying light or now the medium. Character at the beggining of this film is a real person and he's a polish actor called Michał Dorociński, he played in many good polish films and not only. once again I feel pride that our games are so fantastic. Poland is so awesome. Went to Warsaw a few years ago to visit a friend who’d moved there & I’ve gone back every year since - I seriously ❤ your country, omg. The food, the people, the shopping, the natural beauty, the cities (I❤️ how Krakow looks almost exactly like Prague, but actually has a soul 😊), and while Western Europe is crumbling, PL is thriving. And, yes, the rad video games too. 😊
I just figured out Troy Baker voices The Maw it makes so much sense. It sounded so familiar while also being terrifying, disturbing, and made my skin crawl. This game was an absolute blast to watch thank you so much!

I have never in my life cried over a fucking game 😀😀this is emotional damage such a good story I would definitely play this. When she finally meets Thomas other side I started balling.
Personally I don't think they just want to scare the hell out of people, but honestly kudos for keeping the atmosphere 100% all throughout the game. I fell in love with this game.
That demon was female with a very deep voice which can be confused as being male. You can tell by the chest and high heels it wore. It explains why it wanted to wear skins like needing new designer clothes lol
I think wearing skins was symbolic of Lilliane having been mentally torn apart and needing to put on different faces as a defense mechanism. Of course, she is a medium in the game so there is an entity that can physically harm as well as psychologically.
I mean besides the obvious female figure like you said, it kept going on about not looking at it and being naked which was referencing how Richard was drawing Lily and what he eventually worked up to doing.

I know! My theory is that Lilliane ended up killing herself to protect Marriane. I know she said she wasn’t strong enough but maybe when faced with protecting her sister, she had enough strength to do it. Symbolically, it’s so incredible. The trauma could never heal for her and it’s unfortunate she feels suicide is the only way out.

This game does an *incredible* job of showing how individual people are always complex & that people very rarely become evil or do horrible things without also having experienced negative/traumatic events in their life prior. Doesn’t excuse the things they do! But DOES show the importance of protecting children/young adults from such negative/traumatic experiences as much as possible. Not only for the sake of the children/young adults…but also for those they encounter in the future & society as a whole. Wish here in the US as much attention was given to children *AFTER* theyre born as is given to unborn children.😕

Watching the entire gameplay within one day, it was so good and I want there to be like a sequel to this game. I mean, we heard thr gunshot at the end, but what actually happened to Marianne? How did Lilianne handle the Maw? Is Thomas going in and back? There are so many questions left unanswered

Hollow was the reason why I bought the medium , now horrow games usually scares me but hollow's gameplay was what sold it to me ... the fact he was able help me solve the puzzles was even better ... The story telling, the visuals, what a game! We were all hoping for more and Hollow grinds out 3 hours for us 🙏 I was so immersed I ended up sitting on the floor closer to my TV 😂

@@poppychalupa9390 you should’ve specified, I thought you meant random resolution drops. The drop when it split screens is understandable, question is what screen size do you have ? That’s where resolution drops can bug me. I have a 70”, so that part wasn’t bothersome.
@@MrNate05 I play on a 32” monitor I will say the game is great just idk a little disappointment with 30 fps and the little resolution drops you get here and there. This was supposed to be a “Next gen game”
Absolutely fantastic game! I’m a huge horror fan and games like this are far too rare. I was so invested in the story that I couldn’t put it down. Finished it in only 3 sessions which is unusual for me. It takes a special game to get me hooked like that. Brilliant! Easily the best psychological horror game since Alan Wake. I feel like Hollow is the most genuine gamers I’ve ever watched. Like others that I’ve watched in the past always have to resemble some character with crazy reactions but Hollow is just being himself. You know what I mean?

The graphics suck which is the only bad thing resolution drops as low as 900p on series x
