I think in general is a general characteristic of who comments sports don't used in politics
In fact, they dropped their voices a lot after Filippo's impossible victory. Of course they were gassed and rooting for Bigham. It's normal, everyone cheers for their compatriots. What I didn't like was when Ganna, with a lordly gesture, waited for Bigham at the balustrade to pay his respects. It was a gesture that needed to be emphasized. But I understand the disappointment for a result that seemed to be achieved. The crowd, the humanity of the people, however, seems to have appreciated.
Joanna Rowsell i like very much but i cant stand that screamer carlton. I really dislike him and he gets on my nerves. To the point that i stopped subbing to eurosport because of ths buffoon.

Più la guardo e più mi sembra impossibile quello che ha fatto Ganna.

Di per sè ha fatto quello che fa sempre, un negative split, finendo più forte, è più Bigham che è partito a canna ed è esploso dopo i 3km, se guardi la velocità finisce a 56 orari con Ganna che si mette a fare 61-62!

Bigham trained Ganna. He knew what Ganna could do and tried a long, far out attack. Ganna, cold and calculated, by hook or by crook or by luck or by strength, came back to take it, goddamn incredible. I could watch this 1 million times over
Dan Bigham was clearly cooked the last km, he ended up running at 57 km/h while Ganna was still at 62 km/h

It was truly amazing. Ganna won with a better distribution of efforts, Bigham put everything he had and even more but it wasn't enough. Two champions, both deserve our admiration.
If in the future someone asks me why I love track cycling I'll show them this.

Comunque, l'inseguimento è uno sport spettacolare anche in TV. Ora non voglio dire che è più spettacolare del ciclismo su strada, ma meriterebbe un pubblico maggiore in Italia. Ganna in altri paesi sarebbe un Dio, ospite fisso ovunque, sponsor a pioggia, e tutto meritato. Ma forse è colpa nostra che lo guardiamo solo nelle grandi occasioni e quando c'è un campione del genere.

That Individual Pursuit is any more an Olympic discipline (there is only team pursuit) is a shame, it was the most tradition race in track cycling and they removed it.
It's unbelievable (in the most negative way) what years ago they chose to do.
They took it off to put skateboarding and other similar "sports".
