Hi Jamie, I was frustrated trying to read all the information and the various steps to begin the automation workflow process. I chatted with some folks at mailchimp who were sincere but the best help they could give me a 25 page fine print pdf to read. Then my son asked me, " have you looked on youtube for a video of what you're asking them. Thank you so very much. The direct concise approach you disseminate info is awesome. They should pay you for making their product user friendly. As a matter of fact I've sent them the link to this video and suggest they do just that. Jamie Leigh you are awesome!!!!!!!!!!
+Aaron Mottley so basically I have to pay the 10.00 dollars a month if i have less than 2,000 subscribers to be able to use this feature? Am I correct? thanks for your help
This was so helpful, Jamie! You just saved me so much frustration trying to figure it out myself! Subscribing now to your channel and on your website!!
Thanks for walking us through setting up the automation. Question for you Jamie. If I'm creating a 14 day challenge where I want the emails to trigger on a specific day, let's say a month from now, how would I do that? Thanks.
Totally helpful and useful. You're very easy to understand...so excited because I feel like I will get this task done today...Would you know anything about setting up a Membership Only Page? Thank you!
so I am assuming now we have to pay to use this feature? I looked for AUTOMATION WORKFLOW but didnt see it. do we need to pay first before we can see that optionm?
Thanks Jamie, Now how do you put the code for this in your blog/ website? If I want to offer three different content upgrades, how is that done? Thank you!
Very helpful video Jamie. I'm just setting up my first workflow and was wondering what to do with all the existing subscribers, some who've been with me for years. They tend to not buy anything anymore, are just readers but get around 30% open rate. Do I just file these new subscribers into the old list after they've gone thru the sequence? Thx :)
Can you use an email you have previously sent out by itself or within another automation with a new automation or do you have to create the emails from scratch every time?
My issue with Automations is that you cannot easily put a new mail into the beginning. It actually switches two mails together, instead of just flipping the new mail where you want it to be. Any idea with that?
Is the difference between a campaign and sequence that campaigns refer to only a single email? Does this mean that I must create campaigns for abandoned shopping carts and other transactional emails? Thanks.
Hiya! A campaign is a regular ol' broadcast email that you send, to either a list, group or sequence. If you want to create an abandoned cart automation sequence, I suggest taking a look at this documentation: kb.mailchimp.com/automation/add-an-abandoned-cart-series
How do I issue new subscribers with an account number and details of my bank account number with deposit instructions when they register, automatically
+Md. Sazzad Hossain I think you are referring to link-triggered automation (for example, if a user visits a URL on your website, start this automation workflow, or if a user clicks this link in an email, start that automation workflow). Check this page out for more information: kb.mailchimp.com/automation/about-automation-workflow-types Hope this helps!
Wish you did more of these so helpful and concise
I'm going to be building a welcome sequence soon so this video is a starting guide. You have a very pleasant speaking voice by the way. It's soothing.
This automation makes it much easier than the basic setup. Thanks!
Hi Jamie,
You explained it so nicely. Great tutorial indeed....

Thanks for the tutorial! How can I change the position of the emails? Because now it seems that it isn't possible anymore. Thanks. :)

are you mailchimp expert? I have question?
+Md. Sazzad Hossain I"m not a self-proclaimed expert, but I can certainly try!
