We use Explode the Code as our main phonics/learning to read curriculum. I dont use the teacher's guide. You'll need to supplement with readers. There are practice sentences to read but thats about it. We started with Bob Books then those leveled readers you can get from the library. We're on level 7 and is my daughter's favorite subject.
I'm going to have to check out your suggestion for Bible curriculum. We are doing BJU bible truths K5 this year and loving it; but I'm always looking for new ideas to share God's word with my children. Thank you.
What kind of extracurriculars do your children participate in? I find it hard to find a balance for the different age groups…. K to middle school… you mentioned a coop, of course church, anything else your kids do?
Do you prefer learning to read vs all about reading? Also, if you only had first grade and younger, would you still use biblioplan or story of the world, sonlight, mfw or something else?
If you don’t have any older children, Little School of Smiths is actually a great hands on curriculum creator for history! She released Adventures in American History and it’s so fun! I prefer those reading programs depending on my kids. If they are a super hands on kiddo that does well with multi sensory or needs extra help I like AAR, if they do well with a more traditional approach I like LTR.
I always enjoy watching your videos. I learn so much from you! 😊
Clicked so fast 😅 , we've missed you mama , you look so beautiful and glowy 🤩 God bless you
I’ve missed you all as well! It’s been so hard to get videos out but I’m really hopeful to start getting them out more consistent again 💜
Fellow homeschool mama ,also due in nov. With baby #5 been a viewer for years 🩷
Congrats on a baby boy 💙
Do you do CLE Math all the way through? Do you switch as they get older to something else? Thank you! 🙂
