Whether he is or not was not the point. The point is it seemed like an uncommon match considering his wife does not look like her. The point is that in spite of it all, he thinks she is gorgeous and is not afraid of what his wife or anyone thinks. Once again, I want to reiterate this is not about Obama, but instead about Meryl. Bush is not an illegal, but he has done illegal things in the White house that should have gotten him impeached. Either way, I don't like either of them. They have both been terrible presidents, even though Obama is still in office. I can't blame them because they are only puppets, and their puppet masters prefer to remain faceless.

I swear she has very little ego. A talk show host once asked her about memorizing lines of dialogue and she remarked she was very good at it at one time. The host asked her if she still was and without hesitating she exclaimed "Oh no, menopause took care of that!" She's just so natural and unassuming. No vanity or fear of aging at all.
She speaks Italian poorly. In Bridges she still sounded Slavic.

It's funny how flexible beauty standards are over time. I remember at that time, in the late 70s, beautiful and blonde in Hollywood meant Farrah Fawcett, Suzanne Somers, and Christie Brinkley, and when Meryl came along, she seemed offbeat. People actually talked about it. I look back now at Manhattan or Kramer Vs. Kramer and think, "Good God!!! What were we all thinking? She's gorgeous!!!" She still is. Dino, Sr. was an idiot for sure. But I think at that time Hollywood beauty standards were narrower.
Literally everyone you mentioned would still be considered prettier than Meryl Streep.

Dino was a movie mogul, produced over 500 movies, he just didn't think Meryl Streep was pretty enough to play Gwen in King Kong. Streep was not yet famous and Mr Delaurenttis didn't debate her acting skills and his son Federico saw her in a play and brought her before Dino to audiction for the beauty Kong fell in love with. He just didn't think Streep was beauty enough for that role, specially when he already had in mind Jessica Lange. King Kong 1977 was Jessica Lange debut in the big screen, rumors were Mr Delaurenttis and Lange were having an affair. True, Streep career as an actress soared higher than Lange with 22 Oscar nominations winning three times. Jessica Lange also went soar winning two Oscars. Mr Delaurenttis was a good man, he was just pickie with it came to casting for his movies.
