One of the nicest clips 🎥 ive enjoyed from your channel recently . The history shared, the music, the scenes that show la ‘differance’ ’ from other areas of the world 🌎 ….the quiet etudes. Merci
Loving the music in this weeks thriller! Mr Boo & his drama face at the swan attack was gold…..just disappointed in you Tim that you didn’t stop your Oscar story to point out the yellow GT4 🤷🏻♂. Back to the drawing board with you I guess!
That beach was just gorgeous and how cool was the golfers’ ferry! Everywhere always seems so tidy and immaculate, even at the sides of the road, in a way that the UK just isn’t anymore. Another great video. Thanks !
Mister Me, Mister Boo & Halloween, the story of Oscar Wilde is certainly one that sounds like a very troubled soul! life can be challenging...the Swan incident shows us how in the animal kingdom too it's a battle for supremacy just like mankind..have to say your editing is 1st class & leads to a very well presented vlog..stay safe and well & of course stay charged 👍
another great and glamorous video like always, what a weird ferry/funicular. Oscar, sad story and alcohol addiction but anyway a great author. have a great week and thank you so much for all, so nice to watch your videos :)
Great video. Thanks so much. Lovely scenery and terrific soundtrack with some intriguing info thrown in (you always spoil us with your fascinating facts). But what about that alien swan? If you'd told Halloween it was a cat, I bet she'd have jumped in and sorted it out. Oh, and thanks so much for explaining where the term 'pleasure craft' comes from. I never knew . . . 😂🤣😂
So pleased to see that you visited Château de la Napoule. And honoured for the familial shout-out! Also relieved to learn that it wasn't you two who were attacked by the swans.
@@MeandMonAmi The short answer is I don't think so; at least not having gone back as far as I can in my direct paternal line (to the early 1800's). However, Henry Clews' ancestors, like most of the Clews clan, are from the same part of England as mine (the Staffordshire Potteries). So maybe if I were able to go back far enough ...
The music at the beginning of this video (and the last one) reminds me so much of the 1960's TV series "The Prisoner" staring Patrick McGoohan. Lovely video again, thank you. 👍
Bravo! Such a lovely journey was a moving contrast to tell a short, and not so lovely story around. What might it be that that so many troubled hoped to find there? Was it peace, refuge, true love, a place to cross their terminus, or something more elemental? If I ever make it there, I wouldn't mind taking a flight from that airport and viewing and pondering few things from a higher vantage point.
You’d love the airport and the not yoo far away glider port too. What were they seeking? Many came to escape TB. The restrictive sexual laws in England at the time. The sunshine. Their past. Themselves.. I think it’s always a part of travel really.. although as Larkin said ‘nothing like something happens anywhere!’
I thoroughly enjoyed this video! Mr. Boo was impressive with exercise equipment. The drone footage of the river was stunning. I assume it was drone footage or perhaps you got one of the swans to fly over with a camera. It was very interesting to learn more about Oscar Wilde. The drama with the swan was intense. Steven Spielberg should make a movie of the event. I read the book Jaws as a kid on the beach in Cape Cod. And with my grandmother I went over to Martha’s Vineyard and saw where they made the film as well as the racks that they kept the three sharks on. It took three because they couldn’t make one that would do everything they needed it to do.They were all called Bruce. I wonder how many racks it would take to make the movie with a swan? Thanks for another wonderful video! Love from Vermont
Thanks for another great vlog. Oscar Wilde's is such a tragic story. You'd think that, over a hundred years later, society's intolerance and bigotry would have improved so much more than it has. 😢 On a lighter note, I love the music you've used at the start and end of the vlog: very 'The Prisoner'!
A Very Interesting and Informative Episode. It's good to know the South of France also has Aliens. Ha! Ha! Funnily enough, I had watch The Day Of The Triffids (1962), before watching yours. I much prefer the Old Movies.
Great stuff, I enjoy the backing soundtrack, are you able to put links, I particularly like the woman singer, it sounds very much like a version of the Polish "Luz blues..." that was the theme to the Green Glove Gang... Thanks for sharing.
I really look forward to your great videos although I'm becoming a bit jealous of the great fun you are getting out of life in that tiny car! An inspiration!
Really baffle by how you have had so many adventures in your Ami without worrying about not enough battery. In the mean time. I am afraid to go anywhere when my MINI has roughly 3 times the range if i drive super conservatively.
Another great episode in your south coast odyssey with interesting places to explore. The local tourism office should be paying you for promoting the area. Maurice from Malvern Uk
Great video boys! I know the Esterel route well - stunning scenery, as well as Frejus and up into the hills around Tourettes, Fayence and the lac de st Cassien - so I’m looking forward to next weeks’ vlog. Maybe Mr Boo gets his snorkel out again? 😂
Great video, thanks 👍. I'd forgotten all about Daisy's mother being involved with the Prince of Wales (King Edward Vll)......makes you wonder though how many illegitimate children he actually fathered 🤣 . A couple of illegitimate children in the 18th century have caused problems for me in my family tree because I've ended up with a brick wall and can't research back any further . Time I reread Oscar Wilde 🙂
Please advise Mr Boo he has thoroughly redeemed himself with his river of facts. We can now move on from last weeks faux pas. Lets never mention it again.....
enjoyed that one guys....georgeous....
Thanks Annie

I was waiting for someone to point out that yellow car!;
Excellent guys! One of your best….. fascinating !
Thanks Mike
Another great video. Beautiful scenery and history. Want to know more about Princess Daisy
Thanks. I think she was the sister of Mrs Cornwallis West who was the King’s Mistress?
Thanks for the story of Oscar Wilde. What a sad end to a great talent.
🦢Beautiful but grumpy birds ! Bonne semaine 😊
Thanks Vanessa
Well done guys 🇬🇧
Thanks
That beach was just gorgeous and how cool was the golfers’ ferry! Everywhere always seems so tidy and immaculate, even at the sides of the road, in a way that the UK just isn’t anymore. Another great video. Thanks !
Thanks Andy. The coast is pretty tidy apart from dog poo!;
We have friends from Theoule-su-Mer so we love this area :)
Glad you enjoyed. Share the video with them if you can

Thanks David. Yes I don’t think Oscar’s years post Gaol were terribly happy
@@MeandMonAmi no indeed not..I don't think he ever got over the experience & it stayed with him..he was probably what I would call a 'tortured soul' 😔
Love you guys!
It’s interesting to see how far you guys are going on this trip….🎉🎉🎉
This was another fun episode!
Thanks Henk

Thanks. A very weird funicular! Golf is BIG there
I couldn’t help but break out laughing at the way you tried to sound horrified by the swan attack! 🤣🤣🤣
Oooo! So scary! 😱😱😱
Shocked I was!

Thanks! True, Halloween could have sorted it!
Nice one boys.
The Swan story looked a bit fishy...
It was rather extreme behaviour. At one point the man was beating the swan with a stick
Thank you, as usual an education to watch.
Thanks Mike
You two are very brave to be driving around that part of France on that wee thing, well produced video though🇫🇷👌
We love it! Next week we attempt the red rocks!
Another wonderful video, looks such a beautiful place. Nice bit of bonus swan action too! Looking forward to the next installment x
Thanks Em
Cool video and not bad in 2023 coldest day here in Norway with - 18 brr.
That is COLD!
Love this including the music 😁
Thanks
So fascinating and amusing. Love your choices of music
Thanks Tim
I can’t believe the difference in the weather, we’re 6 hours drive from there and it’s freezing here in dept 47!
So pleased to see that you visited Château de la Napoule. And honoured for the familial shout-out! Also relieved to learn that it wasn't you two who were attacked by the swans.
I did wonder if it was a real relation?!

Many racks! I wish we’d captured more of the swan event as it was truly bizarre. Man attacks swan attacks man etc

Yes
Very enjoyable as usual . I have never been to this area ,will have to try it ,maybe hire a Citroen Ami ,what a spiffing idea …..
the second bit may prove more of a challenge at the moment sadly

La Belle Époque is by the devils sway!
Hi, great video, Looks amazing round there. The swan attack was perhaps a little underwhelming - but your editing and music made it seem so much more.
TBH it was more dramatic than that but we didn’t get it all on camera. At one point he was beating the swan with a stick!
It looks amazing where you are staying, makes us want to come and stay there, do you think it would be ok with a teenager in tow ??
I think they’d love it! Please say we sent you!

Be careful with the swans, they can swallow your dog. :)
Good to know!
Rowdy swans! But civilised content.
Lol. Rowdy swans and very extreme man!

I like the Song "la belle epoque....Who Is singing It? I couldn' t find this song
Loving the HDR content, how is it recorded? Even though my 2017 iMac isnt a HDR screen it is very vivid. 👍

njk Dublin :you sound ‘moralistic’ on Oscar👎
Not at all but as Quentin crisp always said ‘Oscar must have accepted the judgement passed on him by society or he would not have been crushed by it’
