I’m new to terraria and I used the clinger staff, nimbus rod and queen spider staff and I got the job done on classic you vid have really helped me out looking forward to seeing more ❤️
For me the Twins are the funnest boss to beat and if you want to make it more fun attack both twins and not just focus on one. You don’t need the asphalt road and I just use the goat skull in master mode. For Spazmtism you can use the king slime mount if you want and for wings for classic you don’t need wings but in expert and master mode you do. Over all the twins are a very fun fight with good rewords to whoever beats it. But I hate how in 1.4.5 they are going to change the boss music :(
ua-cam.com/video/92rRvE56pKA/v-deo.htmlsi=4zOSbMxCuo0vUerd this is the new boss music for me it doesn’t hit as hard as the old boss music witch is sad for me because this is my favorite boss theme and now I can only hear it when fighting the wall of flesh or using the music box
@@gavindawson1332 I kind of like it! Though I don't really notice the music very much when I'm fighting bosses - I'm usually too focused on fighting the boss!!
For wings (after 1 mech boss defeated) it is most recommended to go into the jungle for me. You can get the tattered bee wing/butterfly dust from moss hornets and moths respectively, increasing odds of getting a nice pair of wings

Fantastic news, man. I just started my "first" classic world (I played a little bit shortly after the game first came out) and wow there is sooo much now it would be impossible to figure it all out on your own
Excited for this!! My character is long-since ready for hardmode, but I've been prepping my world on-and-off for the last 10 months or so 😁 I need to get back to creating a Plantera arena
@@salendrak I think I finally will! I'll get my scarab bombs and clear out my jungle arena and then start It. At this point I'm just waiting for the Traveling Merchant to sell the Stopwatch and the Paint Sprayer in order to finish the Cell Phone and Hand of God, but I've got everything else for them.
Hi there, thanks much for the guides! May I suggest a guide on building/updating the arena(s) for endgame bosses and/or seasonal events? I've been stuck on the Moon Lord and I think that what I'm missing is some more arena buffs and general preparation. I've read the wiki but your approach is much easier to follow!
I'll get to the Moon Lord eventually, but usually my preferred method is basically the same as the Twins - make a REALLY long asphalt runway, and try to keep your distance. First kill I usually go Melee with the Daybreak, and a high defense and health regen armor set like Valhalla Knight. Make sure you have all reforged items, full potion buffs, and line your runway with heart lanterns, campfires, and sunflowers, with some honey baths here and there. Good luck!!
For Melee and Ranger, my personal favorite is the disc and megashark respectively since i always go for Destroyer first. As for mage... well i regularly go for Duke first after Destroyer, get the Razorblade and the mount then obliterates the other 2 mech bosses. And now i'm here hoping a summoner strategy to beat those two, been stuck for 3 days now ;-;
@@salendrak Ok after a week worth of pain, i've finally killed the twins, but without actually whipping them, just running around and let my little daggers chip their hp down... Guess i'm just that bad in keeping distance, still need more practice. Thanks for asking though
For melee, correct me if I’m wrong, I really like to use the chain guillotines from the corruption mimic for all the mech boss fights and all of early hardmode along with a nights edge
I tested the Chain Guillotines on a few of the bosses. On classic difficulty it works fine, but on Expert of Master Mode it's range is a bit on the short side.
Youre finally back!,i watched your videos for my first playthrough but i was so dissapointed that it just stopped at the destroyer,i already beaten the game multiple times but your guides helped me alot, glad your back.
When I first did the Twins in Classic, I believe I used the Shadowflame Knife or possibly the Light Discs. For my second playthrough in Expert as a ranger, I used the Megashark with Crystal Bullets, with the unicorn mount for speed rather than asphalt, on a skybridge long enough to not need to turn around. With that setup I had trouble with the eyes despawning rather easily though, especially Retinazer, due to me trying to get a lot of distance from Spazmatism to dodge its shots, and Retinazer lagging behind.
I'm personally not a fan of mounts for bossfights. They limit mobility, which I prefer to keep over raw max speed. And asphalt gives you the best of both worlds - PLENTY of speed without limiting your mobility!
@@salendrak I’m under the impression that on asphalt, you lose the extra speed as soon as you jump, while a unicorn can at least double-jump at full speed. Certainly you have to dismount if you want to turn around though. More of a problem is that the mount makes your hitbox taller so you can’t fit between some shots that you can on foot.
I beat WOF and first night i got the mech eye. I was scared to try it because i only had cobalt armor, but ended up using it. Died and next 10 nights it spawned by itself
@@salendrak Yeah.. I was getting mythril for the anvil because i wanted to craft fairy wings, then the twins came to me. I had no weapons that would deal good damage. Any ideas? Edit: I was blind because there was weapons for me (Melee)
Nope! I might do a short video about movement speed in the near future, but in essence, Swiftness potion doesn't stack with sprinting movement speed of boots on normal ground. So if you have boots, swiftness potion normally does nothing for your speed. Without any other buffs / items that effect movement speed, your default movement speed is 15 mph, and if you just add a swiftness potion, it goes up by 25% to 19 mph (rounded up). If you put on Hermes boots you get a sprinting top speed of 30 mph, and Lightning Boots or better (Frostspark, Terraspark) bump you up to 34 mph. Adding Swiftness Potion on top of boots won't increase your speed at all - most of the time. Thus Swiftness Potion is a LOT slower than the sprint speed of boots. Surprisingly though, things are a little bit different on Asphalt. With no speed boosters, your base movement top speed on Asphalt is 53 mph. This is because Asphalt multiplies your speed by 3.5, so 15 x 3.5 = 52.5, which rounds up to 53 in-game. Add in just a swiftness Potion, and goes up to 66 mph, because 19 x 3.5 = 66.5, which rounds up to 67. But if you add in just Lightning Boots you'll top out on Asphalt at 57 mph - less than your speed with just Swiftness Potion! This is because for some reason you don't get the sprint speed from the boots on Asphalt, but instead get just their base walking speed boost of 8%. So 15 x 1.08 = 16.2 base walking speed with Lightning boots, and on Asphalt 16.2 x 3.5 = 56.7, which rounds up to 57. HOWEVER - once you take sprint speed from boots out of the equation, you allow the smaller 8% movement speed from the boots to actually stack multiplicatively with the 25% movement speed boost from Swiftness Potion. So if you wear Lightning Boots AND use a Swiftness Potion on Asphalt, your top speed hits 71 mph! Math is this: 15 x 1.25 = 18.75, then 18.75 x 1.08 = 20.25, then 20.25 x 3.5 = 70.875, which rounds up to 71 in-game. Crazy huh!?
Ok so on master mode you should target retinazor because you get over whelmed by spaz very easily with his dashing and because they are also connected even with wings it’s hard to fly above them and dive the dashing so if you can dodge the flames which I’m pretty sure everybody can even on master mode you should target retinazor because the dashing with lasers is really bad edit:also this is if you don’t have an asphalt runway and just have a normal arena

So I brought My endgame friend who took out the destroyer with ease whit his endgame armor. Yeah kinda embarrasing. And the worst part is that to this day Im still bad at destroying the Destroyer. I don't usually use the cheese thats why I struggle with the Destroyer. Reasons why I do not do cheeses at all: 1) I simply do not have time to make the cheese. 2) Im not the person who likes to do math at video games. 3) is that to simply make it more challenging for Me... Hehehe..... ( Definitely not an excuse that Im lazy and I just want to get rid of the boss as much as I can). And plus I hate making buff potions since some of them is a pain to get. Most of the time I skip the endurance potion. Because it simply makes the game more challenging. ( Definitely not another excuse that the number one thing that I hate to do in this game is fishing).
@@salendrakSure try it! But you will get brutally close to daytime like what I did in skeletron prime, when I used the fire arrow stormbow combo in classic it took Me until somewhere around 4AM literally right before daytime so that was extremely nerve racking. Another tip! YOU CANNOT MISS 30 FIRE ARROWS I REPEAT YOU CNANOT MISS MORE THAN 30 FIRE ARROWS or else Skeletron Prime will definitely turn into a dungeon guardian but weaker.
They are definitely a notch higher in the difficulty department compared to everything that came before them, especially when you're new to the game. Stick with it though - you'll get them down!
Start chucking those Shadowflame knives! Overall it isn't that bad so long as you have a ranged melee option, and can ignore the cognitive dissonance that statement causes 😆
Hey salendrak i just got an idea for the random challenge series. Is it possible to defeat skeletron, EoC, BoC/EoW simultaneously with max. prehardmode gear??
@@salendrakmy guess would be to you warding on all accessories and have every single potion ready. Using drayds blessing and nurse nearby might also be a viable strat. The Gray Zapinator would be my pick tho.
how had i never seen this guide before! its so good! its super detailed and has tons of good advice for these bosses I especially love that you show a large variety of weapons being used so no matter what class someone is going for they can get a good idea of what to use and how!
My strategy is somewhat unusual and not very cheap I put 2 teleporter(not very far) just to have distance and while it feels cheating because you can't take damage if you time it right. I put a box to protect my self from any enemies so they don't interfere with me.
Never tried it! I've always found those weapons to be really RNG dependent - both in getting it in the first place, as well as having it hit the big damage spikes. I generally prefer to use more dependable weapons. But do give it a try and let me know how it works!!
Have you checked out the wiki information for Plantera? I'll be doing a guide on Plantera before too much longer, but it's probably still a few weeks out before I get to it. But in the meantime the wiki should help a ton! terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Plantera and terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Guide:Plantera_strategies

Given the number of creative references in this game, there's a good chance the devs were thinking the same thing when they named it that. That said, I have no idea what the reference might be - I've never watched Family Guy LOL
I've always done everything on a given character in the same world I started with that character. Is there any particular reason you would maybe prefer to fight bosses in a different world? In order for your current world to progress you'll need to kill all the bosses in that world, so I have a hard time thinking of a reason to do them in a different world.
@daddys_turn I generally make my arenas pretty close to my base, but that does result in NPCs sometimes getting killed by certain bosses and events. It can be nice to have the base close to your spawn point though, in case YOU get killed by certain events 😆

Most of the time I skip the endurance potion. Because it simply makes the game more challenging. ( Definitely not another excuse that the number one thing that I hate to do in this game is fishing).
Good news - you're always welcome to play the game however you want!!
ps - now I want to try the mech bosses with the stormbow fire arrows combo 😆
@@salendrakSure try it! But you will get brutally close to daytime like what I did in skeletron prime, when I used the fire arrow stormbow combo in classic it took Me until somewhere around 4AM literally right before daytime so that was extremely nerve racking. Another tip! YOU CANNOT MISS 30 FIRE ARROWS I REPEAT YOU CNANOT MISS MORE THAN 30 FIRE ARROWS or else Skeletron Prime will definitely turn into a dungeon guardian but weaker.
The mech bosses are so frustrating :(
They are definitely a notch higher in the difficulty department compared to everything that came before them, especially when you're new to the game. Stick with it though - you'll get them down!
fiNALLYYY WOWEE
😎
Now is not a great time to be a melee main🫠
Start chucking those Shadowflame knives! Overall it isn't that bad so long as you have a ranged melee option, and can ignore the cognitive dissonance that statement causes 😆
Useless comment
Looks like I was 1st by second 11
First comment is NEVER useless!! 🤣
Hey salendrak i just got an idea for the random challenge series.
Is it possible to defeat skeletron, EoC, BoC/EoW simultaneously with max. prehardmode gear??
Don't know if I've ever tried it, but sounds like fun! Maybe add in an enraged Queen Bee for fun? LOL
So far I cover pretty much everything up through the mechanical bosses. More to come when I get around to it!
YESS ITS FINNALLY OUTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!
(the twins was my first ever mechanical boss that beat lol)
Yippee!!!
@@salendrak i already beat the game and i moved to playing (singleplayer) don't starve
My strategy is somewhat unusual and not very cheap
I put 2 teleporter(not very far) just to have distance and while it feels cheating because you can't take damage if you time it right. I put a box to protect my self from any enemies so they don't interfere with me.
They put teleporters in the game - feel free to abuse them to your heart's content!
@@salendrak ah thanks, now my heart is at ease.
Nice strategies. One small issue: gravitational potion goes brrrrrrr
Oooooh I never thought of that!
Thank you thank you thank you so much because i cant beat the twins so what should i do if i encounter the twins
Uhhhh - do what I said in the guide?
Thank you so much for this, I was just starting to wonder how to prep for the Twins!
Sometimes my timing is excellent!!
I returned to terraria after a decade, and this has become my go-to channel for guide videos. Great content. Full of great info
Thanks!!
I have a megashark and a highway and a friend is that enough for the first time twins on classic?
The highway is from that thingy that makes u fast
Sounds good to me!
BABY WAKE UP SALENDRAK CONTINUED THE SERIES 🔥🔥🔥
More to come after the holidays!
Is the Orange zapinator good for the twins (mage) ? Or at least viable? Mainly expert mode twins
Never tried it! I've always found those weapons to be really RNG dependent - both in getting it in the first place, as well as having it hit the big damage spikes. I generally prefer to use more dependable weapons. But do give it a try and let me know how it works!!
Do you any type for a best weapon for melle? I have shadowfire blades and bananarang.thx.
Both of those work great!
Could you write a basic expert mode tips and tricks for plantera?
Have you checked out the wiki information for Plantera? I'll be doing a guide on Plantera before too much longer, but it's probably still a few weeks out before I get to it. But in the meantime the wiki should help a ton!
terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Plantera
and
terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Guide:Plantera_strategies
I was just watching through your for the worthy playthrough but now just noticed you stopped at hardmod, why did you stop?
Sadly, the series just wasn't getting enough views to justify the time and effort of making the videos.
😢😢 @@salendrak
As a 0 iq returning player who has forgotten everything your videos are really helpful i appreciate the effort you have put in to make these guides
Refresher courses are something we can all benefit from now and then!!
Thank you!
You bet!!
Omg he is back I could cry
Gonna stick around for a while too. Grab that box of tissue!! 😆
First
Technically second, but yeah - it was close!!
Who was first
Super star shooter also works awesome
Absolutely!
Bro haven't played in a few years. Thought id jump back in with an expert run. Boy....These twins gave me fits. Failed previous 12-15 attempts. Beat it first try using your asphalt runway tip. Ty bro. 🫡
Welcome back!!
You helped me alot when going to hard mode and i just killed the mechanic destroyer and i use the shadow flame knife its so good
Well done!! And yeah - that weapon is GREAT for melee!
@@salendrak yeah i love that it dosent take mana so you can just spam it
Salendrak Has been awoken…
Hopefully the end result isn't "Salendrak has been defeated." 🤣
Is that a new mic?
Nope - but I did get a new computer and had to re set up my audio editing settings and whatnot. Sound better or worse?
you've helped me defeat destroyer and the twins now, thank you!
Great!!
i havent watched your videos in a while and as soon as i heard your voice it reminded me of my sophomore english teacher 😭
Is that a good thing or a bad thing? Also, for the record, never have I ever been an English teacher 😆
@@salendrak good thing, my 10th grade english teacher was the greatest of all time
the legend is back 😮😮
Cue fireworks and celebrations!! 😁
Im a bit late but he finally came back unlike my dad
Ouch! Heavy dude - heavy!
Every time I hear "cool whip" I can't help but think of Family Guy I'm so sorry- 😂😂😭
Given the number of creative references in this game, there's a good chance the devs were thinking the same thing when they named it that. That said, I have no idea what the reference might be - I've never watched Family Guy LOL
ok - I just googled it. That was pretty funny 😆😆
Same bro😂
That’s a cool hwwip
OH my god this is a god send the twins are just about to spawn i thought this had not bein posted yet thank you
My timing was perfect!!
yes it was you madlad i still died tho but i got both 2 phase 2
@@salendrak
should i put my arena in my world or a different world?
I've always done everything on a given character in the same world I started with that character. Is there any particular reason you would maybe prefer to fight bosses in a different world? In order for your current world to progress you'll need to kill all the bosses in that world, so I have a hard time thinking of a reason to do them in a different world.
@@salendrak oh yeah, that makes sense, should i put my arena away from my house?
@daddys_turn I generally make my arenas pretty close to my base, but that does result in NPCs sometimes getting killed by certain bosses and events. It can be nice to have the base close to your spawn point though, in case YOU get killed by certain events 😆
