the melancholy in his latest tracks is out of this world. never felt something like that... this sound points his soft fingertips right to the closetdoor where all your fears and insecurities are hidden behind and takes them out to play. gently but determined.
Listening to this and watching the visualization I'm imagining great celestial fields of interstellar grasses, descended from an ancient photon-based single "celled" organism in a vast plasma field inside of some ancient nebula. Fed by a brutal storm of radiation over billions of years, the grasses acquire a complex neurological system the parallel to our meatsack synaptic networks. The grasses discover this music millions of years after humanity goes extinct, declare it the epitome of aesthetic and launch into a synchronized dance for a billion years to commemorate this glorious meatsack's creations.
I love Stephan Bodzin, but for me personally this is his best track in the last 3 years. The percussion, bassline, the simple melody and that harmonic progression just fits perfectly. I love this time from 2011 to today.... it is comparable to 1993 no doubt. Happy to have lived through both

He doesn't make music, he spews up old music and old ideas and then proclaims them as his own. Honestly, "Strobe" has been done better than that a thousand times more than 20yrs ago. Go and listen to the Chill Out Or Die series of albums from the early-mid 90s and then maybe see this soulless EDM piffle they call Deadmaus through opened eyes.
I have to say this, I was very very nervous before this song, all my muscles were hurting even my neck but in the third minute. It was like jesus, i'm so soft, relaxed, even the video visual is amazing.
