WOW really nostalgic journey , reminds me of my younger days in the 0s off to Woolworths to ge a box of soldiers,The box art always got me drawn in ,Ive got the British artillery set recently and put it on ny retro wall ,great video and set up on the diorama ,
definitely an awesome start, and really cool using the old school included paints! the tank camo is definitely the strongest bit you did. if you wanted to get more bang for your buck painting wise, and still spend roughly the same time, thinning your paints out a bit and doing more layers, thinner at a time, and using some cheap washs to brint out details. also doing a base coat over everything with a black spray can, its quick and east, and if you miss any spots while hand painting, itll be a fake shadow. youve done great, awesome to see the old school airfix boxs... not seen them in a long time.
Thank you for the tip re painting, I always thought multiple layers took much longer, but having tried Speed paints recently on Fantasy figures I have seen the error of my ways 🤣
@@cerealmad one thing you can do is pur em by moving air, fan, etc. time between layees shouldnt be too bad. but dont take that to mean this isnt cool either. theres something to be said about limiting your materials and making something cool regardless.
Realy liked the tanks, great work there. Personally, I would have used the green on the Germans, possibly with a beige or pale brown helmetcover, the English in Khaki or mudbrown and the French in the blue you gave the germans. Other than that, great work on the tanks and the buildings.
Think you are right re Germans. I went with the colour based on the packet front and the advice from the local model shop - felt a bit too blue though. Hey ho, better than just plastic though 🤣
Thank you. Focus will always be mainly cereal, but I will do occasional updates on my Airfix and other figures - didnt realise there would be so much interest 😊

Thank you for watching and commenting - did you see the Waterloo set I uploaded too?
SUperb figures, nice painting...I do like the Male MK1 and the immersive and realistic base diorama...Thanks for sharing!👍👍
Thanks for watching! glad you liked it. Got a WW2 Diorama set coming next
Male tanks had cannon and female tanks had machine guns, one for bunkers and one for infantry support.
Thanks for clarifying

This is quite nice! Never had this diorama. Have the Germans and the Americans. Many battles with them. Have the tanks now, still haven’t built them.
Thank you for commenting - I enjoyed making this set

That’s a good jumper you have got on for the weather. Do you remember Band of Bros?
Yep, good series
Perhaps for another project you might do the Romans verses the Ancient Brits.
I would love to....but too many projects and not enough time. Painting all the Heroquest figures at the moment
The mould of the faces, especially the Germans makes them look about at least 40 years of age as a soldier!
True 😀
Well done 👏 the 1/72 are quite hard to get spot on when painting but good job 👏
Thank you. Was a big challenge 😃
Great stuff, this channel is quickly turning into a wargaming channel!

😊
I have a request! Could you do some corn flakes adverts?
Sorted for you - check out next Saturdays upload with a festive collection 😊
The German are not surrendering... they're 'high 5' ing 😂
ha ha
If you'd paint everything, Germany's in complete survival mode on that one...
