Once at the church, I asked my friend where C note was on piano? He showed me. I then figured C major, F, G7 on piano myself by applying the knowledge and how C major sounds from guitar, and it was in 1989 when I was in refugee camp in the Philippines. I came to the U.S in Feb. 1989, and I never had piano at home. Anywhere I go and if I am allowed, I sit on and play piano. Actually, I just practice, not play. Until 2019, my daughter sent me the video clip of Mariage D'amour, and I can't resist. I told myself that the only way I could play Mariage D'amour is that I must have piano at home. I then bought an electronic piano. I found the video you played Mariage D'amour. I knew that I read music very slow. I decided to do the copycat. I copy from your video, monkey see monkey do, and it took me 1 year and I finally played Mariage D'amour at the age of 58 years old. I share my true story to say thanks to you, Tom, and to encourage all of us out there, don't give up until we got our goal. I knew it very well that I couldn't stand if I didn't play Mariage D'amour. I'm a pianist, and I can say that it's quite an easy instrument but not the best. You can do lots with it, but you also miss out on a lot, like vibratos and such
