Star Citizen is an open development, crowd funded project from Cloud Imperium. Consisting of 2 games, Squadron 42 a single player, story driven campaign putting you in the middle of the Vanduul attacks as an up and coming UEE Navy pilot, and Star Citizen, a highly detailed
first person MMO set within a persistent universe where there are no limits. This includes, space, and ground aspects, massive spaceships with full interiors and interactions, a full dynamic economy which reacts to the players actions allowing for anything you can imagine.
It is all being built on the StarEngine (a modified version of Amazon's Lumberyard Engine).
Please bare in mind that this is heavily WIP and in an alpha state in which much of the foundational tech to make it a reality is still being developed. Both games do not have set release dates yet but you can play the alpha build for the PU MMO which makes consistent progress
with quarterly patch releases throughout the year.
I am an independent content creator and a fan of the game, I am not paid by Cloud Imperium however I do accept ships from them to giveaway to my community but this will by no means influence my opinion or what I say and believe about the project.

I think others have made this comment on some of your other videos but I find it interesting that you walk everywhere. I do not know why but it just makes the videos more "Believable". I know that this is a game but you know what I mean. Great videos, thanks for sharing.
Taking it slow is the way to go with this game
I'm not a walker, but I agree.
I don't play star citizen but in games like GTA, RDR2 or minecraft i walk everywhere except for when running is integeral.
CIG must come a step forward in populating worlds so that it gets more interesting to be anywhere doing anything instead of just missioning or grinding credits.

I walk everywhere too. I think of it like this, would we be sprinting through an airport or walking through it? We would look like madden running everywhere we go in life. This game deserves some good role play, not to mention the details you notice when you aren't running everywhere
It would be nice for this type of game play if CGI added camping features like the ability to have a campfire and boxes or stools to sit on etc. Movable ship furniture would be nice to further personalize your ships and make them feel more like home. I would like to set up a man cave in part of the cargo hold of my Cutlass Black for example in front of the starboard side door and still leave room for some cargo and a Mirai Pulse or small ground vehicle.

I'm glad to find another who appreciates the rambler. I read a lot of hate about the rambler and am dumbfounded.
It looks like a space van, which is fun, but otherwise it's not good for cargo, combat, or exploration.
I just don't see the purpose of buying it.
@@stonerhino83440,000 hydrogen fuel, 2,900 quantum fuel, larger storage lockers for internal storage, extra passenger seat, according to dpscalculator is has 2 scu of cargo but 4 scu if internal storage. It's a cool little ship with lots of hidden bonuses.

This is like watching an interesting take on 'Survivorman in Space'. I hope you continue this series as it is interesting to see what you get into and the interesting sights you come across in your adventures.
Ive recently started to play like this too, artificially limiting myself, even though I’ve spent a couple of grand on SC it’s been tons more fun just starting with a starter ship and basic gear and seeing just how much gameplay i can milk out of it instead of flying my larger ships, although when the Polaris gets released IAE ill be living in that thing 24/7.
If the A Team was being filmed today in a star citizen world, me wonders if murdock would be piloting the cutter van with face hanging out the back of a cutter 'van' shooting those locals (of course BA would have to be drugged as he doesn't like flying :-) lol

I like van life. When you began near a distribution center it reminded me of how van lifers sleep in Walmart parking lots and other shopping centers overnight because it’s free and for security. Maybe there are other van life type things you could lean into. Obviously freelancing odd jobs already fits the theme. You could focus on refueling the Cutter and replenishing your onboard survival supplies like food, water, meds, etc. Camping, sightseeing and recreation are a big part of van life. Your van life game loop could be grinding contracts for money and looting for supplies to gear up and refuel to go to cool spots, camp and have fun. You could even do meetups like have a friend meet you somewhere to ride grav lev bikes, that kind of thing. Punctuate solitary van life with occasional socializing.
I can imagine that this series might be inspired by Steve Wallis or turn into, hunker down.
Star Citizen has to get more stuff that help it evolve into a scifi sim.
You need sleeping bag added to the game, as most survival games have this.
In addition they should add furniture, crafting stations, kitchen supplies and food recepies and fishing.
I recommend that the developers should look at survival mods for games like skyrim or valheim. CIG should ask the devs of those mods, if they are interested in some contract work (so they can get credit for their creations).
@@exosin4394 Chris Roberts played Valheim with his kids during the pandemic which is why crafting is planned. Base building started development in January. Furniture is coming in the next update for persistent hangars and will surely be a part of base building as well. Yeah I’d like a deployable tent, sleeping bag, other camping gear and be able to make a campfire. I wouldn’t expect that anytime soon but at least we’ll get the other stuff you mentioned.
An SC Meetup or Rally in game. Would be awesome. Ad hoc trailer park life. An entrepreneurial type could stock their ship up with consumables to sell or barter with fellow campers.
It seemed like yesterday there was a server outage reported and they put in a hot fix. I'm hoping that the servetd are a little bit more stable. Love the off the grid gameplay as usual, this is a great series

What this game needs, more than anything in my opinion, is NPC crew to allow those of us that pledged and received connies and carracks nearly a decade ago to be able to play whenever we want rather than be forced into hoping we can join an org and organize (or be organized) into playing a certain way.
I've a Carrack sitting in my account, game uninstalled for years now, just waiting for RSI to announce npc crew so I can finally play.
What is needed is a NPC(AI) creation tool for player backers. That provides a way for players to build, train and publish . How and what a NPC is to do!
Then offer 1 free NPC AI build, while offering additional AI builds as a paid service

There are a few mission types where a Cutlass spawns out of nowhere and destroys any landed ship. I hate it.
If you know it is a mission where that happens, you end up just hovering in your ship twiddling your thumbs until the Cutlass spawns, then you kill it and go on with your day.
If you don't know it is a mission where that happens, you 100% lose your ship and there is nothing you can do about it.
It isn't fun or engaging, just a very binary scenario that just results in wasting time.
What should happen is the Cutlass only engages piloted ships. Otherwise, it should land and deploy the reinforcement troops it is carrying.
Ah Van Life, is an excellent choice. I wonder if it is dark and you're all alone do you hear a high-pitched voice call out from the darkness "I see You!" Love watching your videos.
You need to come to these areas with a 5:25 cutty red. Bring some ground vehicles and have respawn. I suggest an stv.

That was a great episode! Please keep them going. I know it's frustrating when the game/servers seem to be working against you, but watching you grind away is entertaining. I can't play as often as I'd like, so I'm living vicariously through you. 😆
The emersion in Star Citizen makes full role playing is the best way to experience the game.
My gameplay style is the same as yours. Star Citizen survival mode.
I love the concept of intentionally going your own way. Leaving the expected path of life in the galaxy known worlds and DIY off grid.
And your gameplay style is exactly that too! Leaving expected gameplay loops and going off to play your way despite the hardships of leaving high-traffic game systems behind.

I suggest they do something with the titles and distances around icons over characters, ships, and POI. It'd be nice if they only appeared when you looked directly at them, like in QT mode, instead of clogging up my immersion
It is even worse in Investigation missions since there are 4 or 5 markers and once you reach one to investigate they do not disappear.

I found out you can use the ramp kinda like a scoop to pick up boxes you can't tractor beam up in armastas zones
Just started your video, but if you put a container in your ship to use for storage (if it works as this is bugged), do NOT store your ship! You will loose the container!
Personal hangers are going to delete so many items when they come out.

Great video, as usual. I love these "living off the land" videos you do. It's how I've been playing for the last month or so but it has its challenges. These abandoned settlements can be death traps and you have definitely got the right approach being cautious. Discretion is the better part of valor. Sometimes. :) Keep up the good work.

Having armour and back pack would have helped so even ninetails will do just to speed up the looting. its going to be even harder when the new hangers come in as no Inventory so you will have to physically move stuff into the ship it is going to be interesting/ but a basic base / home is what your after so you dont have to load the goods into a cargo elevator
The torches work a bit better if you increase the games contrast settings some. I noticed a big difference just increasing it to 60-65.
Should have just walked back to NB after looting. lol

I'd have to go to MicroTech, wouldn't I, it's the only place I can go that I don't have to wear a helmet. I guess Yela, but damn that would be cold. If just these NPCs would land and search the vehicle than trying to destroy it.

The npc Cutlass used to only shoot your ship a little before landing, and then only keep shooting if your ship was line of sightbwith the turret. But now they fly in circles shooting until there is nothing left.
So what I am wondering is what is the npc's detection range? Is it the same as a player's or less?

Love the game play you inspired me to try something similar but I am cheating and using my cutlass with a Mirai Pulse in the back along with a 2 SCU cargo box and some rations. Other then that I am keeping it simple and have added some wildlife control contracts here and there as well focusing around the settlements.
Not sure what aversion you have to wearing 9 tails armour, still fits the narrative?

SUPER MAC BROTHER. LOVE YOUR CONTENT!!! I also love what the grand team of influencers have been putting out content, but I find that it has been less and less informative, but just regurgitating of info most players already know. I am always looking for new updates, but most of it from many is just click bait. Now, i may not understand the complex nature of how You Tube treats influencers or vloggers expects you to meet quotas, but I find that I am having less patience with vloggers (not you), who are talking negative about CIG and the time they are taking to get out new patches, when the vloggers are just putting out content that restates the same thing, sometimes TWICE A DAY! I love this game and I hate to see Vloggers bash CIG when their content (not yours) is stale. They love the game, then they hate it, then they love it. Sorry for the rant, but I want a FRESH APPROACH to how the game is not some vloggers OPINION which does not represent the masses. Thanks for listening!

Can somebody recommend to me a decent graphics card to buy to be able to play this game in peace. About 2yrs ago my computer with no graphics card played it just fine. But with everything that has been added it gives my computer a seizure now. Its unplayable. It does load up with all the settings turned to low. But it maybe gets 1fps. if that much. And all the textures continually flickers. I have 16gb ram. and a SSD.
Ah yes... dribbles of hope punctuated by inevitable failure... tastes like Star Citizen. :D

its the 3rd video in 3.23 from you where you say, you crash all the time. I need to say, SC was never as stable as in 3.23 for me so far. i have no client crashs at all, servers got error some times but allways recover. never had such long sessions.
