More like THE best. Thank god they let him showcase his vocal talent with such melodic songs and not only with the usual atrocious slayerish fast-as-hell tracks most thrash bands tend to produce.
I have been listening to death angel since I was 13 years old I'm 42 now. This is absolutely fantastic work. These guys have really grown up and developed an amazing amount as musicians over the past 20 25 years. It gives me chills to hear these guys play so proficiently tightly and masterfully. Congratulations guys on the Fantastic album. The best one yet
Death Angel was one of those bands I missed in the late 80's/ early 90's when I was first getting into metal. I went for the bigger and more well known bands, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Megadeth, Motorhead etc and this band never got a look in. Then, a few weeks ago, I noticed that Testament, Exodus and Death Angel were playing in Dublin on the 4th March and on the spur of the moment I buy a ticket. And Testament and Exodus were 2 other bands I'd skipped out on as well years ago. So, there I was with a ticket to go see 3 bands I'd never heard much of. And Death Angel came on first and blew the other 2 bands away that night. Mark the singer was a human dynamo that night and his vocals were great. And yes, from watching this, I'm reminded of RJD and live is no different. What a great way to be introduced to a band that I'd missed years ago! They said they'll be back in Dublin soon enough and I'll definitely have listened to more of them by then and will be going to see them again.
well Act 3 came out in 1990, They did a Band called the Organization in 1994, the Band without Mark. you might like that. i really didn't like it. I recently did a video on death Angel & like many times i always forget to mention something. Thats why The Head Bangers Ball was so Great it introduced me to Many of these Thrash Bands

I have been a fan of "Death Angel" since I first saw one of their concerts at "The Stone" Club on Broadway in San Francisco in 1988/89. I'm glad they are back and recording again, thanks.
I saw them open for Anthrax about 4 years ago and they were awesome, older bands still tearing it up!! First time hearing this, and I love Mark's voice, I've been listening to it over and over, killer fuckin song 🤘😝
Mark never lost his voice, Rob never lost his touch. Was fortunate enough in my youth to get to see these guys with Sanctuary, and Forbidden, in a small Nat'l Guard Armory venue. One of those shows you never forget, where every band was in top form, and just melted your face.
So good. I never took this band seriously in the past, I always thought they were another washed up Thrash Metal band, but I was wrong. The best of the Bay Area bands in my opinion.
That's what makes them ours. We number in the millions, we don't need billboard top 10!!
My favorite chorus is "train me then blame me i bought into this game"
Can anybody hear me now
A cruel land's fallen son
Pleading to the skies above
Forgive me please for what I've done
The only truth is death they claim
I chose to gift that lie
Force feeding truth to so many
My eyes numb as I watched them die
[Chorus]
Train me, then blame me
I bought into this game
Mold me, then scold me
I'll never be the same
If only you could see me now
I broke a dark one-sided twisted vow
You take a poor, broke, lost, and stolen soul
And simply throw his world away
Believe me when I tell you now
They mold the truth, and turn it upside down
It took me years to see, and comes this far
And still I feel so lost today
Will anybody save me now
Exposed I stand alone
A prisoner in my own body
No place really feels like home
I've grown to see the wrong I've done
And I cannot shake this pain
So I close my eyes, and let it go
With one final breath of shame
[Chorus]
Rain down on me
And wash this pain away
Rain down on me
And wash this pain away
Rob Cavestany deserves to be mentioned with EVERY thrash guitarist!!!
Absolutely agree. 🎸
