- Watch the full episode 22 of H2O season 2 :) While out swimming, Cleo bumps into Charlotte... and sees that she is a mermaid. Although the girls are unhappy that Charlotte has now become the fourth mermaid of Mako Island, they decide to welcome her into their group, and try to form a friendship with her. The perfect opportunity comes when the four of them are placed on the school's beach volleyball team to stop them from failing gym class (as they have been avoiding swimming lessons). But, although the girls do form a bond, Emma, Rikki and Cleo still have reservations about Charlotte, when it is revealed that she possesses all three of their original mermaid powers...

Charlotte is a prime example of why you should go to therapy if you’ve suffered years of rejection. You can tell she’s desperate for connection, but doesn’t know how to truly connect with anyone. She feels she has to deceive, control, and force herself onto others in order to feel connected. It is sad in a way, but it’s the lack of self-awareness/need for self-reflection and unwillingness to take accountability for her actions that make her so detestable. She seems to be a narcissist with no respect for boundaries or consideration of how her actions affect Louis, who she claims to care for. Then you can see once she loses control over the situation, she lashes out. Props to the writers of this show, they’ve outdone themselves with Charlotte

Just here to point out that when Lewis was trying to help Cleo with her powers in the beginning of the season he touched her a lot, always hugging her and putting his hand on her shoulder for comfort. Now with Charlotte he looks like he wouldn’t touch her with a stick😂

She freaks is he goes anywhere without her, hangs with any other girls (who have literally been his friends since they were kids) and she never even asked him out she just decided one day they were dating and he tried to get out of it but couldnt. It's my first rewatch time in my adult years and I gotta say, I used to hate Charlotte as a person: stalker, annoying and even crazy! But now I want to point out that I even have empathy for her. She was a loner, never had any friends and was always aside of fun (sad, right. You might say "oh well she has a horrible personality and stuff but nonetheless, she is a person and has feeling, can be sad) And even when she got her powers and a tail she acted so excited and like a little girl. Am i the only one who thinks their so mean to her. I mean any of them could of easily been in her situation. Plus having more mermaids wouldnt be all bad. Shes new. They shouldnt be so hard on her. Sure she was a "bad person" back then. But all she wanted was the same thing as them. Its not like their destind to be this. And on top of that she is a direct descendant of one of the original mermaids and they just took that all for themselves. Then they just took the connection between her and her grandmother as if it were theirs. I personally like her. All these replies are VERY exaggerated. Sure she broke into her room. But everyone was lying to her. ABOUT her grandmother. They expected her to betray her own grandmother. And really if anyone should be a mermaid the most it should be charolette. She even looks like ariel from the little mermaid. They should of been nicer to her. And given her a REAL chance. Not just blame her for something she didnt do or even have control of.
