Great podcast lads, I joined the Corps in 1974 passed out June 6th 1975 and only a few things have changed during trg we did a week long exercise at the end of trg then we were Kings Squad.
Hello Brummy bro's. We had the Blythe brothers when I served in the Corps,70s Straight outta the east end of London. Eric and Bert, hard as feckin nails. One was RSM at lympstone.
Sorry I left in 2012 so as you were saying about jobs in the Corps I was given because of my age a stores job but I was also playing a very good standard of hockey and I had been the corps Hockey keeper for about 20 years and got time off to play for England vets, winning a silver medal in Kuala Lumpur so I was over 50 playing in an over 40 age group. once again guys great podcast.
Bit hard to do a tour when the lad joined Afghan and Iraq had wound down, and he’s got his green lid so has nothing to prove, particularly to a keyboard warrior

Spot on about the blokes who stay in the corps…tend, with an emphasis on tend, to not be the best blokes, in my experience.
Not the best in terms of what? Outlook? Personality? Plans? Skills?
All of the above. Emphasis on tend.
