You nailed it, cab tractor! For years I had a New Holland 3930 which was a beast of a machine but mowing fields in the Summer in central NC was rough. I kept thinking, I wish I had a cab tractor. Ended up buying a new tractor a few months ago and got a cab tractor, mowing tall grass last week with heat index over 100 and ridiculous humidity watching the dust blow out from around that mower and tractor while I was in about 65 degree cab listening to the radio! I was literally disappointed when all the grass was mowed, I was having a good time. On the tractors, I priced Kubota, Mahindra and LS because the dealers for the 3 are very close to me. Two of them also carry New Holland and Massey. I wanted a cab, 4x4, loader with 4-in-1 bucket, backhoe, HST and rear remotes in a 45-55 hp. Same set-up with Mahindra was $11k more and Kubota was $15k more than the LS. I went with the LS and so far, couldn't be happier with the choice I made. Not only was it much cheaper than the others, it has some standard features that would have been add-on's with the other two manufactures. But the dealer made a difference also, the people at LS dealership just seemed to be a more genuine people. The owner gave me his cell number to call or text with any questions or problems. The owner even delivered the tractor at 7pm on a Friday so I had it for the weekend, after I told him to wait until the following week to deliver it. He said he wanted me to have it for the weekend even though he had to order the wet-line kit and 4-in-1 bucket. Two weeks later they picked it up, installed 4-in-1 and delivered the following day at not charge. So far the LS has proven to be a good machine and hard to beat good customer service.
In your entire life, you have never been more correct than when you describe a closed cab as something to aspire to. Many years ago, I spent almost ten years as a gravedigger. Good gig, no complaints. Until an observant Orthodox Jewish gentleman crossed the Great Divide on a Saturday evening in January. At the very beginning of a blizzard and slap in the middle of an insane cold snap. Since, owing to religious law, he had to be belowdecks before the following sundown, I had to dig the aperture (Hole sounds kinda undignified) that night. We ordinarily used "grave heaters" (Four by eight metal frames, covered in asbestos and with a propane blower beneath) to defrost the ground in really cold weather. Due to the time constraints, we had no time for the grave heater. Boss calls at about 7 pm. I arrive about 8. It is howling a gale and the snow is blowing sideways. I get on the machine, an older Ford backhoe/loader. NO cab. Zero. While the engine warms up, the boss marks out where the hole has to go. We had two sections of cemetery. One, the old one, had many trees and some hills that might provide protection from the wind. The other section was on an elevated piece of ground with nary a tree or hill or building in sight. Naturally, THIS is where the gentleman has to go. Boss goes home. I begin digging. Although it's a fairly powerful machine, it takes a lot to break through two feet of solidly frozen earth. After an hour (A normal grave used to take me twenty minutes, tops, to dig), I leave the machine and go sit in the cemetery's pickup truck as my beard, mustache and eyebrows are so ice-encrusted that I can barely see. Once I am defrosted, I return to work. Soon, one ear fills with compacted snow (Ice?). Time to warm up again. Repeat ad nauseam. I finally finished the aperture just before dawn and, by my calculations, about three minutes before I froze to death. If THAT isn't an advertisement for closed cabs, I don't know what is. I now descend from my soapbox. Thanks for the vids.
I believe that your comments are honest and represent your experiences with this equipment. For me the deciding factor would be the dealership. How do I get service, parts and the other things that a dealership can provide. You should consider a video on this aspect of ownership. You are correct that competion between brands is a good thing and it benefits all of us. I like your shirts.
Hi Mike - came back and watched this video to remind myself about your lessons. 3 years later, this is all still great info for UA-cam creators. Thanks for sharing your experiences. -Chad
Very good video with real world experience and opines.because of the video I did take the time to look up specs(and prices) on the RK tractors.Interesting tractors: I have a lot of experience with Yanmar diesels and they are pretty tough. And as RK indicates all 60HP and under tractors are foreign made no matter the color or branding. I have 3 John Deere tractors that were made completely by yanmar and 90% of the parts interchange with duplicate yanmar branded tractors. For the money the RK tractors with cab and loader seem to be a heck of a deal. But, at 4400 pounds as a 4wd 55HP tractor with cab they seem a little on the lightly built side. My 2wd New Holland TC 55 with no cab I beleive weighs in at 5800 pounds. It was made in Japan btw. All said and done if a tractor fits your budget, does what you need it to do, and is of a good quality with little or no down time then it's the tractor for you.
I appreciate your honesty with regard to giving a review without enough time on any particular machine. Most anything is easy to sing the praises of when you first get it. I have a new tractor that viewers are asking for a review on but I only have 13 hours on it. Your videos are great! I appreciate them!
My son has been praising his battery powered trimmer for a year or so, I finally broke down and picked one up this spring...two weeks later I went back to our Stihl dealer and bought a battery leaf blower. 100% agree with my son and you.
Hi Mike - Larry here in the NW. I have one uniform - blue jeans and striped shirt. My wife sounded just like yours - she finally gave up. I have been doing similar things to what you are doing since the late 1970's. I drive a green tractor, and like it for many of the same reasons you site. However, the best improvement I ever made was to add live hydraulics to the 3 point hitch. My box scraper went from a drag behind and hope for the best to a real tool - I would say improved the usefulness by at least 75%. Also great for most all of my rear attachments. Best regards and keep the videos coming. I am at the stage in life where my two favorite channels are yours and a chiropractor.
Like a lot the way you said with the trimmer line, "It's the best I have ever use". For me is the correct way to present your point of view. I learned very early that the words: "ever, never, nothing, all" and so on, needs to be used with very caution. Keep your videos, good work
Living in the south cab tractors and the AC are real nice for a lot of reason especially yellowjackets, hornets and bumblebees. However when the AC quits, an dit will sometime, inside all that glass is like an oven even with the windows open. I know this first hand. Just make double sure you protect the AC system from brush and debris and service it like you should.
Mike, great video. With all the ground you cover, its good to have these summaries from time to time. Also, appreciate the objective, humble, level headed reviews. I am surprised the grapple did not make the top 10
Mike, I don't recall seeing you use one on the Kubota pre RK. Based on all the times you praised it, I thought you had finally 'seen the light" ;). Not saying you should have picked it, just thought you would have
I remember your video saying you didn't need a cab, and the modern battery products are amazing. I bought a full DeWalt kit when they came out and it changed my life. As far as competition goes, the more the merrier, mostly you will find a huge improvement in service and spares all round, which is important without parts you've done your dough. Shirts, just wear one . The granite grapple is most impressive to me and could someone go through bulk fuel step by step, I think one of friends missed the point. Thanks Mike. Mellissa get some shirts made with the Chanel logo and stuff and start mechandising, then we can all wear the same shirt, LOL
I really appreciate your honest and unbiased comparisons actually, I really love this channel! I am considering buying another tractor of the compact type and would really like to purchase an RK 24, the problem is the nearest dealer is almost a 1000 miles away. I suppose I could take a chance and get one shipped or go pick it up from an RK store location that has the units in inventory. It's a lot of money to shell out and not have a dealer local to drop in on and ask questions or maybe get a problem easily resolved. I have commented before that RK needs to locate some stores in Northern New England! I also have a favor to ask of you could you do an episode in detail about hooking up (or converting from manual hand pump) the RK trailer to the rear hydraulic(s) for powering the dump from the cab P.S. I've never thought twice or ever noticed what you wear in the videos. I suppose it would be creepy and obvious if you were only wearing a thong, I guess that's what would be classified as 'click bait'! LOL
I would have to sincerely put an RK tractor beside a KUBOTA,an actual physical fit and finish and an engineering standpoint of view.Price wise,a few thousand over the life of a quality tractor is peanuts.Instrument cluster quality, castings, wiring, levers and pedals, ergonomics, ease of maintenance and refinement to access.these are the things that make a tractor for the long run.NOW,resale and dealer networking are also a huge deal when purchasing a new tractor. Its very difficult for some people, including myself,to put out thousands of dollars on a machine when you know the reputation of the Kubota, deere, case, all the big names. But,we all know where Hyundai started years ago, look at them now!I say,if your happy with your purchase, enjoy. As you can tell,Im pro KUBOTA and always have been,But,they are deleting features to become competitive,as all the manufactures are, they want a piece of the economy tractor market also.I like the vids, country life, hobby farms, its how you wind down. One last question,Are you setting up the rotary mower properly on the top link to float with the contour of the land?It looks like it is set very rigid. That top link should float and the 3pt hitch arms do the job of keeping level.Keep the vids coming.
I like your videos, very informative. I have a Mahindra XL max 28 Compact Tractor. I love this tractor, I have had this tractor 4.5 years with no problems other than pulling wires off of safety switches in heavy brush. I need a lower brush shield. I grew up in Iowa, as a kid we had Farmall tractors. Now I live in Gun Barrel City, TX. I just turned "70 yo". I have been clearing my acreage with the Mahindra, I used a ratchet rack to remove erosive vines and grape vines.
Mike, I completely agree with #6. My chainsaw has not ever been this sharp unless the chain was new. Even to send them out and have them "professionally" sharpened is no match to the edge I get with that file deal you recommended. I love it! The only problem I have is that I have four saws and only two of them have the same size chain so I need to buy two more sharpeners that fit the other two. I'm also waiting for Rural King to come to New Hampshire so I can get a tractor, or just come to PA and buy one of yours when (if) you turn it back in. Thanks for another great video but one minor detail, I think your number 8 was upside down. Just me being a Type-A but it's obvious you wouldn't know anything about that, haha.
Hi Mike. Really enjoy the videos and also enjoy doing the same things you do. I’m also a western Pa guy, but south of Pgh. One of the best attachments I ever purchased for my tractor is the 3pt quick hitch. Makes changing implements soo much easier & faster.
When I was looking for a mid-size tractor, I looked at a Kubota L4701 and Kioti DK4510. The Kioti had more features and options, and was thousands less. So far, I am very pleased with my Kioti.
I agree with you totally, Mike. Competition is good. I have a friend who farms over 4000 acres and he is JD green through and through, even after JD has screwed him over royally. Other mfrs have literally given their equipment to him to try or brought their stuff to his fields to run head to head, but he hangs in there. The funniset part is that when his great grandfather bought the first tractor in the family, he thought the Farmall (Case IH today) was actually the better tractor since it had 4 cylinders instead of two, but...the JD was $50 cheaper!🤣 Well, hey, 50 bucks is 50 bucks even in today's world. But, were I in my friend's shoes, I'd buy another brand just for spite after tge shenanigans he's been through with JD. He runs the big stuff, hundreds of HP, so RK isn't an option yet, but the way they are growing, who knows?
That Stihl trimmer line is the best! Have they given you any other battery equipment to test? Would love to see some more reviews. Thank you for all the videos...they say you cant teach old dogs new tricks, but I learn something new on most of your videos.
Mike; I liked the 37/39 comparison, the price point was right on. I have farmed for years and have used large tractors retired and wanted a smaller size. I settled on Kioti over Kubota for many of the reason you mentioned (CK 3510) The strange thing is , for years I bled green. lol
Mike you should get Royal king to give you an offset brush hog for mowing alongside yours road, this way You can stay on the road and still mow along the sides of the road
I work in an Atwoods, we sell those battery powered chainsaws. Since we opened in March about 3 chainsaws were sold, and 2 were returned. People don't seem to realize how short the battery life is.
Mike, this is not really a word of advice because I'm QUITE SURE that you GET IT. WEAR WHATEVER SHIRT YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE IN, YOU WILL ANYWAY. Damn the torpedoes, FULL SPEED AHEAD! 😉
I like the things you learned, and I have to check on the one weed trimmer line you mentioned and is made by Stihl. I have several trimmers and need to get trimmer line which works fine for different applications. I have two John Deere tractors and love them so much, but wish the company would change a few things to make it easier to access them like the placement of the battery and fuel tank on their tractors. I get tired of having spills on my hood each time I refuel the diesel fuel, and the battery is located where it is hard to charge them when they're down. It sounds like your tractor is great and you love it so much.
It's great that companies allow you the opportunity to use their products in real world situations. 1. It gives us the chance to see an unedited, non-biased, how-to application. 2. A company that is so confident in their product that they will allow the average [in your case above average :)] user to show, use and report on said product(s). I really enjoy hearing about new products in this format. Great video. Love watching your channel with a morning cup of coffee. Great job Mike. Keep having fun! - Robert - Kingston, Ontario, Canada - Jeep owner, Kubota BX25 owner. P.S. maybe Tommy Hilfger will send you some product to deal with that whole "same shirt" issue - hahaha. We don't care either, sorry Melissa.
Mike, as a new property owner with a big cleanup job ahead, your videos have been instrumental. In Western NY, I'm battling invasives like multiflora rose, honeysuckle, etc. Have you tackled those species on your property? If so, any tips on how to get ahead?
Kate, I deal with multiflora but have a pretty good handle on it now. I usually rip it out roots and all with either the grapple or a mini excavator with thumb when I have one on rent. If you Brush Hog, it seems to come back worse
How are you today Mike? I enjoy your videos. I just purchased an RK37 with the backhoe. I have got more done with it than I expected in the three days that I have had it. The backhoe has the power that I need to remove palmetto roots and tree stumps. Can you do a video on removing and installing the backhoe on the tractor, with hints and things we need to know and lookout for. It would be very helpful to us that have never had a backhoe before. Thank you Chuck
I like the RK 37 simply for the lift capacity. RK was not selling tractors when i bought my Kubota 3901 but with 5 year 0% financing i couldn't pass it up. I have several water oaks on my property and they are always coming down so i need a tractor with a heavy lift capacity.
I am fixing to buy a compact tractor, it's too bad our local RK is not a tractor store, so to be able to stay in my budget, it looks like it will be a Mahindra for me! Just recently found your channel on here, have really enjoyed all of your videos I have watched, keep up the good work Morgans!
I feel like I'm getting a better deal on this, because I've probably learned hundreds of things. My shop now has VP racing jugs, lock and lube, I'll be getting the Stihl trimmer string, etc... I just need Rural King to open in my area so I can check out those tractors! Love the channel Mike and the Morgans!
Good video Mike, I trust your judgement and the way you present the products you use on your channel. I have used several of the products myself and still agree with you. The fashion policewoman in your life means well but she doesn't understand about the favorite shirt and the attachment and feeling they give you ;-) . Just kidding Melissa, you are alright in my books too! Keep up the good videos and sharing on here, we all enjoy them.
Thanks for another great video. I trust that your assessment of the RK37 vs. L3901 is right on for lift capacity, features, etc. But I have to say that for me, dealer support is the most important feature of a tractor. How is RK for that?
MrRoboto57 I can only tell you from one instance of my experience. They sent a field tech and a shop tech to my house from the assembly center to make a correction just 3 days after I got my RK55. It was an order config error not a warranty or repair issue, but the guys were competent and efficient. They are thin yet at some of the stores for repair techs but they also have a ton of job postings on their website so I'm sure they have every intention of fulfilling their goal of servicing from the store of sale. The commitment was enough for my satisfaction.
Nice Vid Mike. Pretty much what I've been saying about the Kioti (and Branson now) vs. some of the other tractors I've had in the past. Korea puts out some great products... Anyone ever heard of Kia?? Anyway, thanks for sharing.. Although I want to see a vid of you getting one of those beast stuck!!! C'mon man, I know I'm not the only one that gets stuck!! LOL
My wife is on her 3rd Kia Sorento - absolutely love them. 2013 - rolled on ice, totalled, family safe, immediately bought a 2014 same color, then traded that on a 2018 at Christmas. Great cars. And I stuck my RK55 for the first time last night - no video, but definitely some sweating. Trying to retrieve a downed tree with the grapple and hit a soft spot in thick grass that sucked the front tires to the frame in just one revolution of the wheels. The normal drop the bucket into the mud and lift the front didn't work because the grapple stuck in the mud just as easy as the tires. Finally tried closing the grapple and rolling it completely down and it floated the front enough to get back out after 6 or 7 attempts at moving 6 inches at a time. Was a bit worried for a while that a large excavator was in my future, haha.
Good to hear on the Car and that family being saved! Most people are quick to judge these tractors but don't realize that Korea has been building earth moving equipment long before John Deere was even an idea! Glad you got the tractor out too! I know that pucker moment all too well :) But if you use them, eventually it will happen to all of us! Glad you got it out :)
I wanted to buy an RK, but they just didn't have enough PTO hp on the 37 cab, and the 55 was too tall to fit in my shop door. I went with Branson 4720CH for 28.5k.
Mike, I hope you didn't change your shirt like Melissa wanted you to do. If you didn't; would this mean that she was wrong. Not trying to get you in trouble; I am looking at it as a logical point of view. am glad you reposted the video. At first I thought it was my phone. Great tips, some of them I will follow up on. Thanks!
Good vid Mike, in all fairness, the long told story of where to take those off-brand tractors for service and repair is still going to give the trust and reliability nod to the big boys. As you may remember, I have a Kubota L3301 and a dealer 6 miles away. I considered a Kioti but the nearest dealer at that time was 40 miles away (6 months after I bought the L3301 a Kioto dealer moved in 2 miles north of me). Anyway, these RK's and TYM's and all are probably wonderful products, but i suspect they have a limited place in the market. Always enjoy the vids buddy, look forward to the next one!
Thanks Mike, and hey let Melissa know that most of us aren't watching what you wear so it's ok. LOL. Hey quick question: how are you filling that fuel station up? Are u getting delivery service or using gas cans to fill it? Thanks.
Hey Mike, I just want to thank you for your channel. I have watched a lot of your vids, I have been looking for a tractor for a while now, i have tested a lot of brands out there and we own a few JD tractors. But hands down the RK is the best i have used. I ended up purchasing a RK 37 and i love it. It does everything i ask and more. Also my wife does not really like driving any tractor because she says they are confusing to operate, she jumped right on the RK 37 and got right to work like she's been running it every day. Again thanks and keep it going!!
How heavy are the tractors? Do they have enough weight for the power??? The only question that would change my mind in considering buying one . Does it spin easily? Would you consider pulling a plow for a power/weight ratio demonstration , I haven't really seen anyone on the internet really work them such as ground equip . Tilling, plowing, discing, ripping etc.... if I could see how they did in these conditions being a farmer I may consider buying one
I just purchased the RK24. Thank you for your Vids. it was the reason why I purchased this tractor. Can you tell me where and what brand of the fuel transfer tank you purchased?
hi mick I think your doing a great job with ever thing your doing and like you say and its true its only your opinion, just watching the youtube videos you can see your a mans man and would just say it how it is, even if it upsets someone else.....the manufacture....because like you say......its only your opinion.. keep up all your good work I say and thank you for showing us all how you would use the equipment.. happy days
So if you could only have one tractor and doing woods work and mowing would you still want a cab on it? It would be nice if I could afford 2 tractors ! Woods works I am looking at is clearing years of junk growth.
Like your shirts. don't change the style. maybe someone will do a statistic on how often you wear certain shirts. Side note. noticing you are getting chopped off by commercial play. do you have control when to go to the come mercial. bout it, keep up the great hobby.. Weather in Everett WA. good. high 70s and next week low 80s. no humidity that i can tell. west side of theab cascades starts melting around 70 degrees. Easter Wa. 100 is comfortable.... again no humidity
Tried to look at the tractor no One around to ask questions. Tractors look nice but no idea about support that I saw. If they plan on selling tractors need to have support that is easy to find went with a kabota because there was someone interested in selling me a tractor and showed me there facility and talked at length what was good for my needs.
I don't know how heavy your tractors are but when towing these tractors around on a trailer are they heavy enough to need a 250, or will a 150 truck do the job? Thanks
I have never really noticed your shirts, but glad you are wearing one. :) I also had the same excuse on the cab and got an open station but wish I had bought a cab. Really liked this video BTW.
The RK tractors seem nice for the price, but what about service and support after the sale. The RK place I just went to had 5 tractors lined up in the parking lot. Hard to justify spending that much money at a a big box store rather than a tractor dealership.
Thanks Mike. Another great video. Was starting to go through withdrawal there for a minute 🤣. Once again useful information as usual. One thing I do wish about the RK tractors is I hope they can figure out some kind of trade in situation. I guess at the price point a guy could always sell his old one outright but that can take time and be a hassle. Have a good day buddy.
Oh, another question to get your opinion on. I know your L3901 has the loader control on the loader and the RK37 has it on the fender and you preferred that in your comparison video. I know you are used to your L3901 also. What I'm trying to get to is on the RK24 it is on the loader too. Is it awkward or tiresome having to reach up there all the time to operate the loader?
I asked about that out of curiosity when I bought my RK55, not doing used is definitely one of the things to keep prices down. No haggling, no managing trade-in value and condition, no inventory to fix up for resale, no warranty issues on the resale of used, etc, etc. It adds another level of complexity to what is a very lean business right now for them. I mean, they've put tractors in stores that don't even have the garage yet to work on them or a mechanic, it is moving fast, but I think they are doing a good job with the customer service. It just takes time. I just kept my Kubota B1550 by the way as I had more of a need for a small tractor than the few thousand dollars to put down on the RK.
Shawn B well yea, going from a b1550 to an RK 55 is a big jump, makes sense to keep the little b around. I have an 08 simplicity legacy xl 27 hp briggs/ daihatsu diesel, rear pto 3pt, 60" mmm and 60" power angle blade. Love the tractor but wanting a little bigger machine. I think, even though the RK24 is less hp, it is more machine.
Yes, I think you're right, the RK24 would be more machine than the hp rating indicates. I think it depends on the size of area and amount of work you need to manage. If you are under 5 acres, then the RK24 would definitely be what you need. If more than 5 acres or lots of woods or doing work for others, then the RK37 is a large jump, but huge increase in capability. I went from 2 acres to 38 and used the B for five years with a lot of manual work around's (dragging and piling brush by hand, dragging logs, using an excavator for large lifting, etc) before deciding that the bigger machine would save me tons of time in the long run. It has exceeded my estimates by a lot. With the RK Grapple, I never get off the machine. It is like an extension of my hand. I also got a set of forks and made a huge wood box to collect wood. My wife tells me every week it has already paid for itself because she never has to pick up brush or hook up chains to logs and barely has to pick up wood. So I'm happy, she's happy. I'd say put the simplicity up for sale and see where it goes.
Shawn B Haha, happy wife, happy life.👍. On fathers day I went to an RK in Connellsville PA to look at a 24. They didn't have one. The guy told me they are the hottest seller right now everybody is wanting to see the 24 and they're having a hard time keeping them in stock. Not sure if that's all stores or just that one. I do like the 37 but I am at only 3 acres and I want mmm, don't like rear finish mowers. My brother has a jd 2205, I believe predecessor of the 1025?? not sure but he has loader and backhoe. On the 4th I borrowed it to dig out 7 stumps, now they have been rotting for quite a few years but was fairly impressed. The 24 has slightly larger tires and I think at the price point would definitely be a comparable machine if not slightly more capable. Also, for the projects I have in mind, I think the 24 would do just great.
I enjoyed this video based on your experience and honest feedback. Glad to see you're willing to change your opinion based on real life experience. My view on battery powered outdoor equipment was the same as yours, until i began using them. Anyway, thanks again. Ed Kenny.
You are ABSOLUTELY right about that Stihl chain sharpener. I bought one solely because I saw it on your channel and now couldn't live without it.
Great news. Our thoughts and prayers Eva's speedy recovery!
I switched from a gas string trimmer to a battery trimmer and I love it. Never looking back. It's so easy and starts first pull every time.😉
Try using your landscape rake on your gravel roads. It brings gravel to top and make it look like new gravel road.
There is an old saying...."just ask the man who owns one". Thanks for sharing your experiences.
HankOctagon, I already knew how useful the grapple would be. This video was for things that I know now that didnt know then
Mike, I don't recall seeing you use one on the Kubota pre RK. Based on all the times you praised it, I thought you had finally 'seen the light" ;). Not saying you should have picked it, just thought you would have
Loads Of Great and Valid Information!! 👍👊
I also have a favor to ask of you could you do an episode in detail about hooking up (or converting from manual hand pump) the RK trailer to the rear hydraulic(s) for powering the dump from the cab
P.S. I've never thought twice or ever noticed what you wear in the videos. I suppose it would be creepy and obvious if you were only wearing a thong, I guess that's what would be classified as 'click bait'! LOL
I hadn't really noticed the overuse of any one shirt, so proceed...But kudos to the wife for lookin out for ya!
Tell Melissa the shirts are your UA-cam uniform! 😎
Glad you point out that competition have work to do !
That is why I bought a Mahindra , RK not available here !
Next time you think of it, touch on how you like/ dislike the Shuttle on the 37 vs the 55's hydro. Always great content!
Might be your best video yet! Thanks for all the good content. I will try the Stihl trimmer string👍
Hi Mike, Great video. I love your honesty!
Regarding the shirt issue, as long as you continue to wear one, we're good!!😀😀
Nice summary and I have to say, I would agree with each of your top 10!!!
What is the trimmer line you like? Do you have one of the new trimmer heads that you load with single line instead of two individuals?
Mike; I liked the 37/39 comparison, the price point was right on. I have farmed for years and have used large tractors retired and wanted a smaller size. I settled on Kioti over Kubota for many of the reason you mentioned (CK 3510) The strange thing is , for years I bled green. lol
All great information thank you for setting it straight , I also agree with you battery power tool have made leaps in technology!!
Outstanding video as usual. Thanks for taking the time to share your videos and opinions. More!
Mike you should get Royal king to give you an offset brush hog for mowing alongside yours road, this way You can stay on the road and still mow along the sides of the road
I know you did a video on the RK 24 do you plan on doing a in depth video on the RK 37 and RK 55. I really appreciate every videos you do.
I work in an Atwoods, we sell those battery powered chainsaws. Since we opened in March about 3 chainsaws were sold, and 2 were returned. People don't seem to realize how short the battery life is.
I have never heard of RK until I watch your video.
Bought the Stihl sharpener based on Mike's recommendation LOVE it. Going to try the weedwacker line
I really think your having to much fun with the big boy equipment. Lol. Hello to Hunter and big hugs
Mike, this is not really a word of advice because I'm QUITE SURE that you GET IT. WEAR WHATEVER SHIRT YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE IN, YOU WILL ANYWAY. Damn the torpedoes, FULL SPEED AHEAD! 😉
Well it’s good to know that you are still Mike and no longer Doubting Thomas! :-)
Thank you for your Honesty about the tractor s. I believe you. I do wish you could compare the Kioti s also
You can tell Mrs. Morgan that to me I've come to consider the green shirt sort of part of your trademark. Same as the hand rubbing. Haha.
Great tractor comparison Mike. Hit all the topics that have been on my mind. Keep rolling the tape!
Hi Mike,
Awesome Video. I really like your honest answers, information and comments. It seems to me that You and Melissa really having a great time!
Mike, you need to have Rural King and Stihl provide shirts in a variety of styles and colors with their logos.
Thank you
Chuck
I like the RK 37 simply for the lift capacity. RK was not selling tractors when i bought my Kubota 3901 but with 5 year 0% financing i couldn't pass it up. I have several water oaks on my property and they are always coming down so i need a tractor with a heavy lift capacity.
I am fixing to buy a compact tractor, it's too bad our local RK is not a tractor store, so to be able to stay in my budget, it looks like it will be a Mahindra for me! Just recently found your channel on here, have really enjoyed all of your videos I have watched, keep up the good work Morgans!
Muscle Shoals, AL
Appreciate your input Mike but I'd like to know how would you rate them in terms of cost for attachments and replacement parts.
Thanks Mike for sharing your thoughts. Have a good weekend. -Glen
awesome idea for a video, mike! Hope all is well.heading back to check my pond level today and mark my trails to cut! enjoy the sunshine!
Keep making the good content Mike!
We just bought a Jeep Wrangler your videos on the topic were very helpful.
Hi Mike, If you had to choose between the twin touch pedals on the RK, or the treddle on the Kubota, what would be your favorite?
matthew riordan, definitely two pedals, I felt that way since I first got the Kubota
This video was really helpful.THANKS!!
Good morning from SE Louisiana 12 Oct 21.
Have you thought about asking your contacts for a side mount rotary cutter?
Branson, Montana, TYM, Belarus, Zetor and countless others seemed like real smart choices at some time.
Refreshing and Honest Channel to watch and learn a different option on How To Do Jobs. Keep it going and enjoy Life.
I wanted to buy an RK, but they just didn't have enough PTO hp on the 37 cab, and the 55 was too tall to fit in my shop door. I went with Branson 4720CH for 28.5k.
Great video Mike. I am not ready to leave Kubota just yet, but I may stop and have a look next time I pass the RK dealer. Thanks!
Thanks.
GP Outdoors, made a skid for it, load in truck with forks, strap down to get filled up
Hey Mike, I just want to thank you for your channel.
Great info, Mike! Thanks for sharing. Always enjoy your videos.
I’m really curious about the shuttle shift on the RK37. Would you buy that tractor with that transmission? Or would you upgrade to a hydrostatic?
Dropping another LIKE on your video! Watching and Supporting!
I just purchased the RK24. Thank you for your Vids. it was the reason why I purchased this tractor. Can you tell me where and what brand of the fuel transfer tank you purchased?
Great video, lots of things to think about. Thanks for doing what you do, much appreciated. And, nice shirt.
A Great Video. Enjoyed it. I am in Louisiana and would like to try a RK tractor but no dealers close by.
That dump trailer is sweet, I want one.
LOVED IT, THANKS FOR POSTING...THANKS FOR YOUR HONESTY =]
Thx great info...
hi mick I think your doing a great job with ever thing your doing and like you say and its true its only your opinion, just watching the youtube videos you can see your a mans man and would just say it how it is, even if it upsets someone else.....the manufacture....because like you say......its only your opinion.. keep up all your good work I say and thank you for showing us all how you would use the equipment..
I really enjoy theses videos !!!
I don't know how heavy your tractors are but when towing these tractors around on a trailer are they heavy enough to need a 250, or will a 150 truck do the job? Thanks
I haven't seen the GK brand in Ontario Canada.
I have never really noticed your shirts, but glad you are wearing one. :) I also had the same excuse on the cab and got an open station but wish I had bought a cab. Really liked this video BTW.
I enjoy your show keep them coming
Mike - i meant to say something to you about your wardrobe! LOL! I am all about content and I give you 👍👍👍👍.
I enjoyed this video based on your experience and honest feedback. Glad to see you're willing to change your opinion based on real life experience. My view on battery powered outdoor equipment was the same as yours, until i began using them.
Anyway, thanks again.
Ed Kenny.
Finally you accept my BX23S as a real deal.........lol. Thanks for all you do.
