Yes, the disc trays are hard to find for sale. Once you do find one you got to hope it's the same revision. Some people just super glue the front piece to the tray which is kinda tacky but it works. The C lasers are better but I wouldn't say they are great. None of the PS2 lasers are great. LOL I'm pretty sure all the lasers support progressive scan. I'm not sure where that rumor was started that only certain model lasers support it.
