RIP Louis Gossett Jr 😢 this one's for you
Damn right
Salute to Captain Chappie ! Also the principal from Toy Soldiers for any children of the late 80's :)))
@@potterj09 that's right thanks for reminding me! Mouthwash
I came here to say that😢...R.I.P. Louis Gossett Jr
This movie impressed me so much in high school that it made me wanna become a pilot. Now I fly an F15 for the US. Air Force. Too bad I can never play a song inside the cockpit just like this. I'm stationed at Hickam Air Force Base Hawaii.
Same story, Apache Pilot. If a fighter jet blowing up shit to “Gimme Some Lovin” doesn’t do it for you, I don’t know what will.
Based
Three generations of Army going back over a century. We love the Air Force!
Why can't you listen to music and blow shit up?!
I'm sure you could sneak something in 😁
When this song comes on in a movie shit's about to get real. Thank you
Adam Project for introducing this classic to another generation.
Agreed, this one, “a little less conversation” by Elvis and “Fortunate son” by CCR. If any of those three songs are playing, shits going down stat!! Love it
Ass whoopings being dealt out wholesale
Yes Sir!
Yup. When the base line kicks in? Enemies might as well go home. America just showed up
i picked up my Dad once when he had a flat tire, and no lie I had an Iron Eagle fantasy in my head believing I was rescuing him.
Lmao calm down big boy
This is one of those little known all American movies from the ‘80s that I always loved. RIP Gossett Jr. I will always remember you fondly as the tough, no-nonesense mentor. You were the best!
You know there’s some hotshot f-16 pilots out there that always wanted to blow stuff up while listening to jams lol
Whenever my oldman is in trouble i always try to do my best to support him, since the very first time i watch this movie (8 years old) i understand no matter how difficult our relationship was i need to support my father
I've blown a few things up over the years for king and country. I cannot confirm nor deny I ever attributed a verbal homage to an individual named Col. Chappy Sinclair. He seems to be like the patron saint of guided munitions. Hahaha
It's ALL I could think of whenever I hear that song(!!)
I just was finding this clip. 'cause I heard the song a few minutes ago.
Walmart commercial
Well yeah, this and "Days of Thunder..."
The best use of this song in any movie.
In the 80's the USAF had a policy with involving their fighter aircraft and hollywood films. So the film makers turned to the Israeli Air Force for their necessary aerial sequnces. Israel has a pretty strong Air Force which includes roughly 237 F-16 Fighting Falcons.
Which is why the enemies in this film are flying Israeli built fighters.
Solider: "His American music is over powering our weapons!! Akbar!!"
+Ben Geiger You mean English music!
well technically this song is American but One Vision was English
( whispers ) Steve winwood is british
Damn solider!
Lmfaooo probably the best thing I've read in a while..you my friend win the internet today...and btw stevie winwood is AMERICAN music that was influenced by AMERICAN rock and roll which itself was inspired by AMERICAN blues and jazz...so yea he may he British but the music is unequivocally AMERICAN...
They really shouldn't leave barrels of gasoline in tents, helicopters, or next to anti-aircraft guns.
Michael Rall LOL I noticed that, an antenna array lands on a tent and it bursts into a fiery explosion. LOL
Hey in real life Soviet Tanks had barrels of gas right on them so it isn't far fetched people would be stupid enough to have them in those places.
Zing!
LOL!
Well, how else is one guy, with no combat experience, going to beat a nation's armed forces all by himself?
One of the most realistic american movies ever. You see, in america, in order to get anything accomplished, you've gotta break a lot of laws.
I miss 80's Action Movies:( " Goosebumps all over"
This movie made want to buy those transparent TEAC cassettes in the 80s. They just looked so badass
during the era when it was cool to rip on the middle east. fun times.
memories eh? Indeed, times were simpler
So true
Nowadays, Doug Masters would've been immediately thrown in prison for "racism" upon arriving home from the rescue mission 😂😂😂
Nuts to that it's still cool screw contemporary political correctness
I mean I still rip on the Middle East soo
Those ole .30 cal MG sounds for a 20mm chain gun, classic 80s.
It had that same sound effect from First Blood when Rambo was firing the M60 lol
i think i wore this VHS down to the bone before i was like 9 years old.
lmfao.. awesome movie. awesome soundtrack
My daughter and I watched the Thunderbirds perform today. They played this song during the performance, which brought me here due to the F16 connection. Haha.
You know once the good old American music classic are rippin, it’s bye bye time for the A-Rabz
This ONE ☝️ is for you Chappy!
💥🔥💥🔥💥🔥💥🔥💥🔥💥
80 miles to Byliad
Looks like they'll be importing oil this year, Chappy.
This is the greatest movie of all time!
RIP Louis Gossett Jr
Incredible movie. Awesome fact: the battle scenes used Radio Controlled model aircraft. Makes it even better! No graphics needed! Salute
This is the best version of this song. Love it
ive watched this movie probably like 20 times or something when i was younger
OKAY !!! THE MOST KICK ASS SCENE IN ALLLL OF THIS GOOD AZZ MOVIE !!! The tunes...the sequence....the song... MAN!
"Ah-tack them through the flaaaames"!!!
LOL !
RIP Chappy!
this is my favorite movie I must have watch it a million times and get everyone i know to see it dame its good I believe this happen for real !!!!!!
RIP Chappy.
What kid wouldn't do this for his old man if he could 💪💪💪
This is a new level of this one is for you chappy
my job allows me to listen to music all day and I play the same songs over and over and this is one of them god bless Spencer Davis Group this songs so awesome god love it
The antenna falls on a fn tent and there’s a huge fuel explosion. Ahhh…the 80s.
EVERYTHING is this movie was so ridiculous and over the top, I will always love it!!
it may be cheezy by today's standards, but it was one of the first movies to focus on a non-soviet enemy in the mid-80's. (Of course, that could be because it was filmed in Israel) and it's still one of my all time favorites. Hopefully, one day they release a remastered version on blu ray
I'm about to order Moons-Over-My-Hammy
This one is for you Chappy!!!
F-22s? no thanks, I don't want to see Doug pass out from oxygen deprivation and crash into the sea en-route...
Everything exploded in the 80s. That's why it was such a great decade, hahaha
Hey man if I ever was flying into combat this is definitely the song I would want!
You got that right!
@@kandaman304 great movie. Great track. But also I feel like there is a viable ACDC song...
@@jonathangibson9098back in black or Highway to hell come to mind. But given the context TNT is probably the best choice 😂Thunderstruck…sure. Just come with an ACDC mixed tape
In Wesley Snipes movie "The Marksman" has same scene were that radiotower explodes and falls down and that scene too were that MB Unimog military truck explodes too.... Great old movie with Awesome soundtrack
Good great tune & video as well 💯❤️🩹❤️🩹😊👍😃📸📷👏😀😁😄❤❤❤❤.!!!!!!!!¡!!!.
David Suchet always plays an awesome villain...
I loved this movie and the cast
As much as I love this movie, even when I was a kid I was like this plane sure does have a lotta missiles. Gotta love the 80’s..
If you were born in the 80's you were made for the ladies ;) can't complain hahaha
The 80s don’t worry about ammunition 😂 Rambo also never rand out of ammunition why should Doug run out of missiles or rounds for the plane’s gun
It's a fully loaded f-16
Cheat code unlocked
Legendary 80-Style Kick-Ass Film-Stuff!!!
Nothing like a good ole' fashioned 80s action flick! :P
I played this and We're not going to take it every time I played Star wars rouge squadrond!
Well the Vulcan cannon of the F-16 is a 20mm Gatling gun, it will destroy any helicopter with a direct hit, although not in such a flashy Hollywood fireball style.
Yeah and those were American Choppers....lets start there..
@@joshuahunt4659 we did sell alot of military hardware to Iran and some middle eastern countries way back when so it's not totally inconceivable
@@masonfarber2604 not to mention that tandem style design has been copied and replicated by other countries ever since the cobra came out. But mostly I think the special effects weren't trying to go for realistic, but awesome on a cheap budget.
Ronald Ray-Gun!
"1985 saw the unveiling of Erich von Stahlein setting his sights on the Stars through His IRON MASK."
- St. HMAJW Lord Saviour Drongo Tigerclaw SkyKnight Anzac."
When Doug says his wants for you chappy, it hurts differently now
ah 80s fun time ^^
Wanted to become an air force pilot but live in a country with no air force/navy
But hey! i am 37 now and sh** hits the fan when i hear that song and drive my 50 PS / 75 KMH Vespa like a pro ^^
And i can't remember how many hours i spend on Falcon 4.0 and DCS since then ;)
God I love Uncle Sam
God damn I love this movie! :)
Agree!! I also loved the music, Gimme Some Lovin" by the Spencer Davis Group!! I just wished they had included the entire song in the movie.
I know right best movie ever despite the tech now being laughably dated
This was the shit back in the day #1986
@@douggriggs1499 They played it at the right time soon as he popped the tape in ..Gave me chills
I love this Movie.. And the Soundtrack is awsome!!!!!!!
"EAGLES"!!!: Victims of Budget Cuts.
The Jet. The song. Doug Masters raining hell on em. So good
Iron Eagle was awesome
Top Gun : Hold my 🍺
Air Force : We gonna need a bigger movie
I asked my uncle if he recalls cassette players on their tomcats and A2-Ds suprisingly their optional
This movie was an Oscar winner if you were 12.
This should be the official US policy in the middle east.
ha same here i used to watch this and the intro of iron eagle 2 all the time and be obsessed with the F16
This movie was Great!!
same here! watched it over a dozen times when I was a kid and never got sick of it.....then, now....it's like DAMN! that is cheesy.
I listen to this song and I remember those Cobra helicopters taking off.
Such a good movie
Maybe the best scene from the best movie ever made.
1:04 - I'm still wondering how can a relay antenna falling on a tent cause a massive explosion?
Magic! 😂
Michael Bay......
20 gallons of gasoline will do the trick
@@coryboy345 LMAO!
The tent was the officers latrine, full of natural gas.
Nice Movie , I like the Plans and the Musicccc
Badass movie.....Badass song!!!!
When ever this song is on while I am driving I pretend my car is an F-16.
Just please don't try to fly in ur car. Didn't work out so well for thelma and louise
try it in a steep turn on a motorcycle it's a hoot
"I Don't KNOW If He wants To LAND On Tom Cruises AirCraft Carrier!!"
- St. SkyKnight HMAJW Ace."
This pilot does anwesome job lock at the video iron eagle-doug races knotcher then you will see how great a pilot he was
I love tihs movie its awesome
One of the coolest F16 scenes
The best song for this part of the movie!!!
Yes because that tent would COMPLETELY explode.
Everything was possible in the '80's ^^ !
"I want these people destroyed" CLASSIC
Dis-Troid!😁
The song "Gimme Some Lovin" was also heard in the movies Days of Thunder & Mr. Destiny, both released in 1990.
azure rainbow You missed Operation Dumbo Drop.
Sorry,I didn't know about that.
Cobra kai never dies.
Wrong movie, that's Bloodsport! 😂😂
I can't hear this song and not think of those Cobras come up off the ground. Whoa!
great movie
I'm going to send you some haunting ghosts how you like that?
Everything you shoot explodes, yep, 1980s movie...hahaha! How can you even care? It's still awesome.
@MrPettj Damn skippy it is. The 80s was a great time to be an American....only in 80s movies can one f-16 do so much damage. lol. AND THE KID WAS STILL A TEEN!!!! I love this stuff.....too bad they blew him up within the first 5 minutes of the sequel.
great flick!!! Totally 80's
We will miss you chappy
I love movies back then, everything was apperantly filled with gas, you could shoot a brick and it would still explode big enough to burn down an entire forest. Those were the good ole days, they don't make em like that anymore
Great movie
Almost joined the air force back then because of this. I did drive a race car though. Anything fast as hell.
I loved jason gedrick in this movie best movie
Apparently when metal(say, a radio tower of some sort) comes into contact with cloth(say, a tent) then a very strong reaction occurs resulting in a large explosion. Thank you 80's!
This is one of those cheesy old 1980's era cold war flicks that is just a classic!
gotta love how the antennae mast that Doug fires a Maverick missile at (WTF!) explodes when it hit the tent (or mebbe the tent was flammable!)
This Bud's for you Chappy
Not to mention how before Chappy blows away a control tower just with guns..
Or how all enemy planes blow like if they were wood (the models are in fact) with even gunshots and F-16s here can even take missiles with only at worst damage
Great song
