Personally I still prefer them being on the moon in the saucer at the very end, but that’s probably just nostalgia. They’ve done an absolutely fantastic job remastering the first two games.

They remade the games, not remastered them

@@AwesomeAlexPlays The games got HD ports and full remakes. It's honestly pretty cool to see the series got both treatments. I'm hoping they go with a new story for the third game, wasn't a big fan of 'Path of the Furon.' But I did like some of the stuff from it.

Natalya's new suit and the environment look so much better. I also prefer the ending with Natalya more in the remake. It's more positive, and a little less questionable. I like how they kept the same lines, but tweaked the scenes to add more of Crypto's rage and relaxation.

very well done comparison, good editing, and you show all the major differences in a very efficient way, thanks for making this video

Can't tell if in the remake, Crypto still artificially made Natalia irresistibly in love with him along with the new Furon powers, or if it is just the powers he gave her. But her taking his drink to tease him leans me towards the latter.

@imahalo123 I know that. Why did you think I didn't?

@imahalo123 Likely. I only assumed he didn't because if she was irresistibly in love with him, she likely wouldn't risk doing something to make him upset, even as minor of a thing like stealing his drink. But I cannot say for sure, it's all just speculation right now.

Right? This is how we all thought the game was like 15 years ago and now we can play it like that for real.

When I first play it in the 00s, I didn't knew english at the time, so I thought that Crypto was able to rescue Natalya and she was fallen in love with him spontaneously, playing the remake now I even thought that they have changed the ending, because it was not how I remembered it, but now I see that I was mistaken all that time!

Some gen z might argue, but the hideous character models in the remakes is one reason i dont flock to the remakes.
The og went for s realism vibe that the remakes take as some artistic liberty to insult human existence. I just sold the 1st game remake. Might try second cuz of lack of censorship. But what was the fukn point of making this look like a cartoon other than make NPCs look retarded?

The original Destroy all Humans 1 and 2 were the Saints Row 1 and 2 of the series as they were grounded in reality of police and military corruption of the 50s and 60s when DAH1 and DAH2 got serious they knew not to make a joke out of it same thing with SR1 and SR2 it was that balance between seriousness and silliness that made it work

Here's my perspective as someone who just finished playing Reprobed who didn't play the originals first.
I'm torn on which ending version I prefer.
The remake's ending makes a little less sense with the reference to 're-entry' now being kinda out of context, they're no longer in space. It's a fun double meaning, they need to do re-entry to return to Earth, and it implies they've already banged once and she's ready for another round. In the remake, the re-entry joke bounced off me, like 'Um.. ok?' and I just glanced over it. Because it doesn't make sense now. They're already on Earth. But it's not a distracting issue I'd say and if I didn't know the context of the original version of the game, I wouldn't have thought about it.
On the other hand, the comment about 'I made a few little adjustments' makes actually *more* sense now that you see Natalya with some of Crypto's powers, where as before it was like ... well what adjustments? The implication seemed to be .. what? The adjustments being she now finds him attractive and wants to have sex with him? I feel like that actually defeats most of their mutual character development throughout the plot, as they were clearly falling for each other throughout the story. She was even leaning in for a kiss just before she was shot. Crypto was practically telling her he loves her. So the idea he had to alter her brain to make her love him, doesn't make sense, it seemed like they were on a pretty clear trajectory to end up together by the end of the plot without that anyway.
Overall, I feel like I prefer the remake's ending, if only because I like the visual of them chilling out on a beach together, and I like the change of Natalya having some extra powers now.
Either way, I honestly think, you could play the remakes or original game in 2024 and have a fantastic time. Graphics aside, great game no matter which version you're talking about.
