Gotta be tough with a leg injury, especially with a 30second shot clock. Get better Alex, props to Shaw for being disappointed! Some players would have acted much differently in that situation 👍👍

I injured my Achilles tendon a while back and my pool game went straight to hell until it healed. Every step felt like my heel had a knife in it.
This game starts with your feet, of which I became painfully aware. I understand completely why Alex called the game.
Thats exactly how it feels like a bone is going to stick out of your heel.I have not recovered from it yet, im probably going to have to get surgery for it.

Alex is already a pretty slow paced, think it out type of player. Him being on a bum leg, plus the shot clock really had to do a number on him. Hope he gets some needed rest and comes back strong! 🙏🏾

Alex is such an amazing player, it was hard to watch this.
AP is over the hill while Shaw is at his peak. but that won't last long as young, hungry players continue to come along. Pool is increasing a young man's game. The only thing that keeps old timers like me coming back is that most local amateur tournaments are handicap events. So, at 82, I can still finish in the money now and then.

The miss by Shaw on a straight shot in the second game, was quite unbelievable... but probably stressful conditions take their toll...
Whenever these 2 duel something WEIRD happens.Remember their match before where Alex's cue stick caught on fire? later in the game Alex botched the last winning ball and conceded..What an odd situation.

I threw my back out once about a decade ago, right before the final. Tried playing in pain, tried playing on Percocet. Lose lose. If the pain is managed, you can't think. When it's not, you can't shoot. At least that was my experience.

What if we think about everything in the universe like a little billiard balls. Atoms bumping into other atoms electrons everything is bumping around. This is what causality is an atoms have to remember what they bumped into before and what they haven’t. But things don’t have to bump into each other the same exact same way every time. So over vast times things can move around

Can anybody tell me why they each hit a cue in the beginning and what who ever goes the shorter distance wins?
It is to determine who breaks the rack first. Whose ball settles closest to the rail chooses to break first or not. At pro level first break often = first win in game.

I believe he was in a scooter accident that put him up for a bit. Then he played Tony about a month ago and I'm assuming he's reaggravated since.

Speedy recovery! to Alex Pagulayan, it's the worst when one has to concede a game due to pain...Might be a good idea to copy Ralf Suquet and throw a couple of painkillers in the cue case, for instances like this, where a good ibuprofen capsule or some tramadol would have probably kept Alex in the game till the end...

The Lion had a motorcycle accident few months ago
Not the same accident; this was a hiking accident caused by jumping to/from a rock. Can't confirm that's 100% true, but it was definitely not caused by the mc accident.
