The overide is for reverse. It allows you to go faster in reverse when pushed in. Otherwise machine is speed limited.

I'll tell you one thing about Chinese Quads for owning them for a while... Get the dealer to give you or even sell you the best warranty !
Dealers usually wont stand behind that warranty. They sell it to you but when something goes wrong they put the blame right back on you.
