I've had this quad for 2 years now going on 3. I haven't had many issues. If there was any issues it was minor. I only have some issues when it comes to parts, I could not get an air filter in town from where the atv was purchased but one location had a different air filter that worked just the same. Some bolts that have come loose and needing re tightening. Biggest issue I have is the gear box oil plug is located right behind the exhaust pipe tube which I cannot get to so I'll have to take it in to get it changed and pay the hourly service fee.
Nice review. I 've had mine for a couple of years and have had most of the problems you have had. Add a washer or two where that swing arm axle bolt is so you can crank that bolt down. Also watch the bolts that hold the rear sprocket to the axle. They tend to come loose too. Bought a new chain that was more heavy duty and it seemed to slow down on how often I have to adjust the chain tension, too. Overall, I'm pretty happy with it since I got it for 1400 new in the December before the pandemic started in the USA.
thanls for the review and to your followers in the thread here , for the tips . I am purchasing one of these for my baby sister but think i will go with the tao tao 150 as I don't want her taking off too fast and will only be on our four and half acre piece of land .
The rubber hose should definitely be taken off because the overflow of the carburetor will go straight to the hot pipe and it does that after shutdown mainly if it happens at all
my sons 150 atv is basically the same unit. we put in lighter rollers and changed the torque spring in the secondary and it turns 22inch mudlites on the rear no problem in reasonable mud and snow. top speed it hits 37 mph with him but once i get on it it drops to about 33ish. it pulls as hard as my old honda trikes did so id assume if you really wanted to beat on them they could make a cheap kids mud bike with some mods.
Seems like when you buy one, you just just loosen every bolt, loctite it, and torque them all down. Nice review, some other guys on youtube have experienced the same thing and said "DO NOT BUY, IT'S A PIECE OF JUNK." I guess it depends on your affinity to work on it. As a comparison a Honda TRX250 is $5,000 new. I mean if I had a Tao Tao and once every 3-4 gastanks I had to go tighten a bolt or grab some hardware from the store, and end up saving $4000, then yeah I'm gonna do it.
i think the problem with most chinese thing slike this for example is that theyd come assembled cheaply like loose nuts and such as Chinese arent reeally know for their quality and they are probably mass proiduce don a line assembly or soemthing but wiht soem tightening and adjustments might not be too bad..for someone who doesnt know how to fix or do such things theyd say theyre junk or itd be a hassle but for soemone who does itd be a bargian and save tonne sof money buying a cheaper chinese one..i had a tao tao e-bike and i beat the hell out of the thing and it still worked fine maybe luck of the draw. so i really have little complaints about stuff i bought form China...the big things anyway
We just bought ours from someone with only 10miles on it. Supposedly it hasn’t been ran for 2yrs “because grand kids outgrew it”. We are trying to get it to stay ON, unfortunately until after purchasing it did I look into it and see that it’s a common issue in these :( any ideas what to do? We’ve already replaced some common things that may be a problem but no luck yet.
Hello I bought this same atv about a month ago. The right side daytime led lights went out. Do you know how I can fix that or possibly see if something came unplugged/disconnect? Thanks
Not sure where to get the winch. It was already installed when I got it. Also, the high rpm I believe is the Automatic choke, I’m sure it’s normal, mine does the same thing
I just almost bought a 2021 200cc tao motors raptor and the digital dash was totally useless it didn't work just lit up and nothing worked the odometer stopped at 110miles and speedometer just stays at 0. The front brakes were totally done for rear breaks work but not the best. These Chinese quads are very weak. They just don't last!! And don't get me started on the wires it's so confusing! So needless to say I didn't buy it they wanted $900.00 for it so I passed on it
(2) questions. Is this comfortable for a 200lb 6ft person? Also, can myself and my cousin who is 5ft (small) fit on here both easily or will we be scrunched?
Yes I bought Coleman 200 same thing n yeah wish I was held out for better one but for dam sure the not worth the omost 3000 dollar cost for one these new
It's amazing how everyone Chinese Quad is a basic ride once and throw it away. Having that many issues in a year and your really not riding it hard how we do! Thing won't make it one ride the way we ride!
I have a 2021 Tao Motor Bull 200. Basically the the same bike was in the video. I ended up blue loctiting all nuts and bolts. Made a huge difference.

Will be looking at a similar one on Monday, 200cc Hi-bird with plates. Listed for $400 with some work that needs to be done, but it starts and runs

I have gad mine for 1 year and 658 miles on it and have not had any problems with it run good starts every time even has to original battery
It's still good?

I got mine for 1100 on a 50% off sale at camping world definitely worth it at that price

How heavy spring and rollers did you put in it? :) cherrs

Once you get the bugs worked out, it’s not to bad. Surprised the motor hasn’t blown up honestly.
Why do think the motor is going to blow up?
Great video
Good and appreciated review!
Picked this up at rural king for 1k new. It was missing the starter and key, I think they lost it. I think it normally goes for around 3k
I mean if you go over the whole frame and tighten everything with lock tight before you start riding it you won’t have any of those problems 🥲

Mine doesn’t have a problem
Your exhaust was cracked at the engine. quick welding job would fix it

so basically its more of a full time hobby fixing it than riding it lol
Depends of a country you living . In Third World its cheaper to fix it in home than earn money for good ATV
I had a Tao Tao 150. It is CRAP

Why in the world would someone think a Tao Tao would be a good investment. Chinese junk!!!!
Funny that we have in the family a kazuma 110 panda that is 18 years old and it is still going strong.
I have 2 Chinese quads for 7 years now. Kids love them. Sure, they need minor repairs once 8n a while, but parts are really cheap
