How are you liking your sub? I’m on the fence between the sb4000 and the sb16 ultra. The PB’s are too large for my tastes. But i want that super low base for movies. Thoughts?
I'm loving it. I'm amazed everyday the clarity & bass depth. I'm hearing bass notes I never knew existed. I tell everyone get the biggest sub you can afford. I can't comment on the SB-4000 as I've never heard it in person. The SB16-Ultra is amazing, and seems to sound better the more you push it. 👍
I see you had the PB3000 before. Can you tell me what the differences are between your original pb3000 and the SB16 Ultra? I'm a waiting to get my SB16 Ultra here in the next week If I want to be for sure that I made the correct choice.
The SB16-Ultra is a much more powerful sealed subwoofer than the ported PB-3000. Above 32hz the SB16-Ultra will have higher output. Below 32hz things become a little trickier. In a small to medium room you will get room gain which will help fill in the bass that the SB16-Ultra begins to give up to the PB-3000. If you live in a large room the PB-3000 is going to have more output below 32hz, how much I can't really say. Either way both are very capable subs.
1Fast GXP Was this from your own testing in your room? If so maybe the sb16's driver is too big for your room to reproduce those lower frequencies. You should also notice that the sb16 will be able to play much louder under 20hz too as it's sealed!
@@1FastGXP how would the pb-3000 play louder than the pb16-ultra in any case? The ultra is more powerful and has a larger driver, so it should be louder at all bass frequencies right?
@@bailey2517 I never said the PB-3000 was louder than the PB16-Ultra, although with its special voice coil in a few frequencies it is. I was stating that the PB-3000 was louder in the lowest frequencies than my SB16-Ultra which is a sealed subwoofer. So not really a fair comparison.
Dude, once you experience SVS ESPECIALLY the particular subwoofer this guy has, theres no turning back. I pulled the trigger here myself. Now awaiting "The Beast" to arrive at my doorstep.
Wow,these bose earbuds are producing bass from every clip, even the EoT opening scene. I would love to get one of these subs, but they stick out too far.
@@rookie8960 actually, just 5 inch sub, is audible across 2 streets + shakes entire apartment. So.. I Bel that's 13 or 16 inch sub.. should be audible across 3-5 streets max, at 0db. You are right, soundproofing helps a lot.. keeping it in limit + you hear/feel clear sub bass, rather than reflection
@@1FastGXP 😂well, in open air situation.. just $50 worth megaphone is audible across 10 streets.. Dual 5.5 inch woofers audible across 2 streets + shakes apartment down to dust. 😂With musical instruments you either become worst neighbour within 800m or befriend everyone. 😂 Experience. Well, just try room inside a room, it will do the trick! No WINDOWS!
that sounds beautiful.
Thanks! 👍🏻
You able to take more videos in this position?

@@1FastGXP I know people are always saying get the pb 16 ultra, but that thing is way to freaking huge. Hoping the SB will do the job. thanks,
Craig Irwin SB4000 can be efficient it's not that much different from the sb16 especially if you do a blind test.
A beast... I own 2
How much did it cost

@@1FastGXP ooooh sorry. I hadn't realised you said SB16-ultra instead of PB.
Do you feel the bass during movies?
Oh yes! Watched Midway yesterday, and my entire body got a nice massage. 😁
1Fast GXP may I ask how was the pb-3000 did u still feel the bass? Or did You just want more and upgraded to sb-16
@@mexisp2 yes, the PB-3000 you can definitely feel the bass. I just wanted to have the accuracy of a sealed sub, and I wanted the 16-Ultra series.

This subwoofer is useless I only get to hear the mid-high range in my phone.

How much?
I paid $2,000 plus tax, but now they are up to $2,300 plus tax. Worth every penny. 👍
What isolation pad is that?
Auralex SubDude-HT
@@1FastGXP does having it on a pad make a difference. Been thinking of getting one

No, why? I just have the isolation platform for my subwoofer.
